An older motel, they still use paper forms for check-in.  No pool, no pets, no breakfast, no coffee maker.  Nothing fancy but the room was spacious and clean, and it was equipped with a big screen TV, an alarm clock, a phone, a microwave oven, a refrigerator, and wi-fi.  Air conditioner worked great, as did the heat when it got cool at night.  Very quiet.  There is an ice machine in the office.  The room rate was the lowest around.  Five minutes from the Circus World Museum.  So if you are in the Baraboo area and need a place to crash, this is not bad.  BTW-The office smelled like onions, maybe from the manager cooking, but you are only in the office for a few minutes.

Simple Motel in Baraboo

I want to mention Darryl and the light haired lady in the front office. They were excellent with service and very friendly. The breakfast was good and the serving area was very clean. The room was freshly painted and carpeted. The only real issue we had was with the young maid. She came in on our second day and did nothing but replace the towels and TP. The carpet clearly needed vacuuming and the mirrors and table tops needed cleaning. We partially made our bed so she never touched that either. Otherwise, we did like the stay there.

Good value for the money and good front staff.

Although I was glad to have a reasonably-priced room for an event in Baraboo, this accommodation was less than satisfactory. The room was run-down. The air conditioning unit was running full blast, but blowing room-temperature air on the coldest setting, not to mention it was loud and blowing from near the ceiling toward the bed. The pillows were uncomfortable, and the room had no nice amenities. 
The location was convenient to the venue I was attending, and walking distance to a grocery store. 

Less than stellar

Great value.  A simple motel with simple and sufficient amenities.   The tv operated better than in some 5 stars where I’ve stayed.   Front desk staff are very friendly.  Plenty of parking.  Clean rooms and linen.  Bed was excellent.  Outdoor area with benches/chairs for picnics or just staying out late instead of in the room.  Good location for sites in Baraboo.  One of the best finds I’ve experienced in a long time.  I would return if I came back.

Simple comforts

The manager was very rude and disrespectful and slammed the door in my face after rudley saying they were closed. This was 9 at night. Do not stay here its not worth it. I believe it was the owner in the lobby who this.

Rude

Owner-run motel. Rooms and bathroom very clean. There are plastic chairs in each room to sit outside. Good shower. Microwave and refrigerator but unfortunately there is no coffee machine. At the reception, coffee is offered. We asked from when in the morning and they told us at 6.30am. As they said, we had to leave early and then they offered us coffee from 6.00am and that worked. Good beds. The back row of houses is the quietest with lawns at the door.

Sweet little clean motel

You can tell from the way the grounds are kept up that this motel is well kept.  The room was nice, clean and had a fridge and microwave.  There was ice in the office, but no coffee that I saw.  Very good location, we walked to a very good breakfast restaurant, the Log Cabin, in less than 10 minutes.  To walk to Baraboo's center square would probably be about 20 min.  Plenty of easy parking. All in all, a good deal for the price, I'd stay again if I were ever in Baraboo.

Very nice place

Very friendly and helpful staff.  Good value.  Quiet, very spacious, clean.  My room was in the back and was quite big.  It smelled pretty funky; maybe moldy?  But I got used to the smell and was fine overall.  It was comfortable, clean, quiet, spacious.

Good value

Small single level hotel, parking close to rooms, queen bed, great shower, weak WI-FI, 60+ Cable TV Channels, A/C, Refrigerator, microwave, low price.  Walk to restaurants and grocery store.  Safe neighborhood, Microbrews, Distilleraries, Bakery, Diners, Wineries, Restaurants, Devils Lake,  for the price you can't be beat.

Summer 2021

Simple and very outdated but cant ask much for the price. Room had small fridge and microwave but no coffee. My main concern was the smell. We asked for another room but there was not much difference, not sure if is mold, the carpet not clean, or if is just the rooms in the back but the smell is really bad. Also rooms were not too clean. Hotel wasnt busy so they should have been spotless especially with covid-19 going on..
