Terrible experience staying here.  Arrived late and as soon as I got into room a bunch of crickets decided they wanted in as well.  Room was already infested with crickets aside from the ones that came in.  Crickets were falling from the restroom vents as well.  Crickets under bed sheets too,  they went to bed early I assume.  Got rid as many as I could and checked out early the next day.  Was a 2 night stay and they refused to refund the 2nd night.  Had booked thru Priceline, so I guess Priceline customers get the infested rooms. Who knows.

TRAUMATIZED EXPERIENCE!

The room smelled so badly of weed that my wife opened the door and I could smell it still sitting in our Van in the parking lot. We had to go buy $20 worth of OdoBan and dryer sheets that we shoved into the air vents. There were dead bugs around the walls inside the room. The room had not been swept and there was a ball cap behind the chair and a pair of men’s dirty underwear in the area of the sink. There were stains on the blankets and sheets and the tv had lines running down the middle of the screen. The microwave was covered in rust on top and had black burn marks on the walls inside. By far the worst room we had ever stayed in and there aren’t enough forums to post on to spread the word to other paying customers so they don’t ruin their vacations staying at this disgusting motel.

This place was overall good. The location was quiet and safe even with having a busy road next to it. Parking at the hotel was kind of tight and the parking lot was always full. Staff were very polite during check in and check out.

Having spent a long enjoyable day, we were looking forward to a hot shower and good night's sleep. This was not the place. The water was hot, have to hand them that, however the bathtub surround was moldy and the sink drained so slowly that brushing teeth filled the bowl..yucch. Breakfast posted times were 7-10 a.m. At 8 we went into the breakfast room where 3 slices of bread were laid out on a tray, a couple of wrapped sweet rolls, and a few granola bars were displayed. There were two dispensers for cereal, one almost empty, and a gallon jug of milk with an inch of milk in the bottom in a cooler. Juice dispenser had an "out of order" sign on it. A few apples were available in a bowl. No one was available at the check-in counter. What did the rest of the guests have for breakfast? And the cost for these grand accommodations? $145.00  Wyndham, shame on you!

What a lousy stay!

The staff was nice, but my room stunk of cigarettes. I could hardly breathe. To top it off, my bed had multiple cigarette burns. The location was close to a gas station which was nice because I woke up too late for breakfast at 9a.

Absolutely ridiculous. The appliances in the room were squishy beat up, burns on the bedding, parking is awful & location is difficult & if you miss the driveway you're in trouble. No breakfast offered at all, not even coffee. Would never stay there again. 

No breakfast, bad parking, outdated

I have had an extended stay at the Super 8 Hotel by Wyndham in Bastrop due to international travel restrictions caused by the Covid virus.

I have MS and am close to the point where I can not walk now.  Living Anywhere would be very difficult for me.

The owner/executive of the Super 8 is a Man named Sam.  This man has the most complete and considerate customer service of any business I have ever been to.

Sam has made this almost an assisted living care home for me.  Many things!  My car is parked Very close to my door, in the room you can move almost anywhere from the bed through to the bathroom and there is something to hold on to all the way, Everything in the room is positioned in the most logical, useful way possible, it is more convenient and Safer than Any care home.  SHORT DISTANCES!!

Sam has gone so far above and beyond in helping me.  One time I had a pretty urgent need for some social security documents printed . . . I asked Sam if I could drop by and hook my computer up to the hotel desk printer for a minute.  He said no, just email it to me.

A few minutes later, HERE HE COMES!  Sam walked all the way around the complex to hand deliver the documents and he would not allow me to pay for them.

I am over 67.  In the earlier part of the pandemic I was having a very hard time finding the Covid Vaccination.  They were not easy to get then.  Sam had some ideas about it and some knowledge about it AND SOON!  He actually helped me find my two vaccinations!!

There is really no way to say the level that Hotel 8 cares it's guests.

The owner and all of the staff of the Super 8 Bastrop have always gone above and beyond to provide the finest customer service I have ever seen.

If I ever go to Bastrop again, I WILL ONLY STAY AT THE SUPER 8.

It is obvious that this location is in the process of getting an upgrade, but, the staff is still professional and my room was still clean and comfotable. Most importantly, the air conditioner works great and the TV had clear reception.

The room had a moldy smell, sheets had burns wholes, bed felt springy, and we woke up through out the night due to bugs. After driving 15 hrs we needed somewhere to rest to drive an additional 4 hrs in the morning, if we knew this was going to be like that we would’ve slept in our car .

Our room here was basically OK, but the lobby was closed and there was no breakfast. We were told a pipe had burst during the freeze in February and it had not yet been repaired. Parking was limited and very tight. The paint was peeling. Our shower valve did not work.
