We had a wonderful start to our stay even got upgraded to a lake view room but I left my swimsuit and coverup hanging in the bathroom there and the cleaners didn’t turn it in. They had to of found it. My loss but I thought better of that place! Very disappointed

The rooms were very clean and comfortable.  The breakfast was good and plentiful and the restaurant attached to this property was delicious and great valued.  We enjoyed sitting in the spacious lobby overlooking the lake visiting with friends and the hotel's location is perfect!  The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly.  We enjoyed everything about this property

Exceptionally clean property and friendly helpful staff

Our goal was to go to the headwaters of the Mississippi River at Itasca State Park.  We were pleased to see there was a Hampton Inn & Suites.  The location is right on Lake Bemidji.  Be sure to ask for a room with a lake view and you will not be disappointed with the sunset view.  You are a short drive to the historic downtown.

Only caution, if you order room service from the connected restaurant know they will automatically add a tip.  Check your receipt to see what it is before you add an additional tip.  Do be sure to tip your person that delivers your food.  This is not a knock for The Hampton

Must Stay When Visiting Bemidji

Great hotel! It’s clean, the staff is super friendly from checking in to checking out. The breakfast is wonderful, large spread and doesn’t feel like your typical hotel breakfast. The ladies doing breakfast are whistling and smiling the whole time, extremely friendly and do an amazing job!

Enjoyed our stay!

We were at this hotel for an Association of Great Lakes Outdoor Writers annual convention. Our group was about 150. Hotel rooms were modern, clean, and the lakeside views were awesome. Everything the hotel had to do for the convention was done courteously and efficiently. The conference rooms were great and the catered food was plentiful and tasty. Would definitely recommend we come back to this hotel.

Exemplary hotel for conference

The staff was very friendly at check-in. The room was much larger than expected. One of the best continental breakfasts I've had before at a hotel. The location is also great, right off the main drag and a short walk to the Sanford Center if you're here for a game or conference.

Good Experience 

This is a great hotel. The lobby faces the lake as do some rooms. Rooms are in great condition. The breakfast goes beyond the ordinary with fruit, oatmeal and omelets. We paid less than we have in lesser hotels. The only downside is that the attached restaurant is not a 5 but it does feed the hungry.

Great hotel

My husband and I have traveled for business for the last five years.  For the last year we have spent half our time in this hotel.  There have been weddings, family reunions political gatherings and father-daughter dances.  Never were we inconvenienced by the extra events.   The staff is stable and there is a camaraderie among the employees.  I would recommend this facility for anything to an overnight stay to a wedding reception.

A+ any occasion

This is a gorgeous property, right on the beach at Lake Bemidji.  There were gorgeous views of the lake from the lobby and breakfast area. There were chairs on the beach for guests.  Our room, however, was older and musty-smelling. The desk chair was rickety and leaned to one side.  But worst of all were the bugs/ dirt on the windows. The windows on ground level were OK but above that the windows were so filthy that we didn't even want to look out.  I realize it's hard to keep clean windows on the lake in MN, but other hotels do it. This was such a turn off that I would seriously seek out another property when coming to this area again.

Gorgeous, but I wouldn't return....

I have stayed on many Hampton Inns and this is the best ever. Great location on Bemidji Lake. Beautiful panoramic view of the lake. Clean room. Quiet room. Good breakfast. Should be a model for other hotels.
