My wife and I stayed here. We stayed in the “Morgan Room” on the main floor. The house is incredibly dark, especially the room. To make matters worse, the lights in the room are extremely harsh. They don’t offer HD cable TV which was a disappointment. The worst part was the bed is terrible. A major pit in the middle of the bed. My wife and I left a day early. I can’t speak for the rooms on the second floor, but if you get a room on the first floor, I’d suggest looking at a different hotel.

Dark and dreary with terrible beds

My husband and I stayed in the tapestry room last night. The place is beautiful.  John's mom met us when we arrived and told us about the house and the area. She was so welcoming! We couldn't have asked for a host to be more inviting and friendly. The bed was comfortable, and the room was cozy and warm. If we are ever back in the area, we'll be back to the Safford Mills Inn!

It was lovely

My boyfriend and I stayed here in the Tapestry Room over Valentine's Day weekend and had a lovely experience! I can't recommend Safford Mills enough- pristine room, attentive and welcoming staff, prime location. The Inn is in walking distance from all the great restaurants and shops but also far enough away from the main road that it is extremely quiet and peaceful (even on the first floor!) Overall, our stay here truly exceeded our expectations!

Perfect Weekend Getaway

Our two-night stay at Safford Mills Inn was pleasant.  We had a big room, nice antique furnishings, and a convenient phone charging station.  But I had read all these past reviews about early evening cocktails, delicious appetizers, and a wonderful opportunity to talk with fellow travelers...none of this happened?  We were disappointed not to have this anticipated experience.

Confused

Our stay began with an open door and a warm welcome. This is a charming old house on Main Street. It is located back from the street in a quiet setting away from traffic noise. Our room was on the first floor by the stairway, very comfortable and clean. We enjoyed reading in the library but best of all was morning coffee on the enclosed porch. Miller's Toll offers a discount to Inn guests and is next door.

A Lovely Inn

Loved the rooms! Loved the whole experience! Sandy was a pleasure!!  Loved the old feel with a clean fresh feel. Location is terrific. Walking distance for food & drinks. The discount at Miller's Toll was appreciated. Terrific food and drinks. The bar/restaurant staff were a pleasure!! 

We will be back!

We stayed for three nights over Thanksgiving and were given a very warm welcome.
The hotel is on Main Street but is very peaceful.  Our room was upstairs, it was decorated tastefully and had a little fireplace, comfy bed and lovely little touches.
We didn’t benefit from the evening canapés as it was Thanksgiving, but the owner gave us a very generous reduction.
The cocktail bar linked to the hotel is wonderful, great food and fantastic cocktails and guests benefit from a discount.
All in all a perfect little place to rest whilst visiting the area.

Lovely cosy little place 

Very friendly reception of the owners in a truly original place; half restaurant as warm as at home (eat in sofas or chairs in successive small lounges with bright lighting). The room is very cozy and comfortable in English. The meal is simple but good (good local beers, pizza, Mexican pancakes..but especially the lavender-burned cream of the excellent patron!).
