We loved this resort. The manager was fantastic. There for any needs we had. The rooms were clean and we all slept like babies on the wonderful mattresses. We stayed in a kitchenette that was well furnished and the price was reasonable. We will definitely be back to visit again.

What a wonderful place!!

First off i hate to write this review however i feel compelled to do so. In my wife and i's 20 plus years of camping in our RV this is by far the worst campground we have stayed at. Now the staff excluding one was very nice but the campground it self is very run down and not  taken care of. We were told it had cable TV however we were promised immediately someone one would be right over and get the cable  going for us to no avail. I   gave  up and got what satellite reception i could based on all the trees which of course that isn't there fault. The sites while plenty long enough for nice size campers the width was non existent as they were very narrow sites. Truthfully the pictures must be very old as the campground looks nothing like that now. Not sure where they come up with the 4 star rating as it was just way too run down and they didn't take pride in keeping up the place.

Clean Rooms, very close to the lake, owners very accommodating, if trout fishing is your thing this is a good place to go, other guests that were there the same time as us have been going for years and love it, pool is clean but the season was early for us so weather was a little to cool to use the pool.

We stayed in a lake front kitchenette. The owners were kind. Always checked to make sure things were ok when we saw them outside. Always knew our names. The view and access to fishing was amazing. It was quiet. As other reviews said. They did appear to be some permanent residents.  You just walk out you back door ( the screen did fall off the sliding door ) to the nice deck for fishing, has bench seating, cleaning station, nets. The boat slips have electric for battery chargers. Slips were free. The room was small, but adequate. Dated . No frills. Coffee pot. Microwave. Toaster. Elec stove. Refrigerator. Utensils. If you understand this is a fishing cabin. Not a five star hotel. You won’t be disappointed. I’m a clean freak. ( I carry bleach spray to every hotel!) After a good bathroom scrub. And a sheet washing, mattress cover. Some covers over the pillows . We were good to go. Stayed 4 nights. Would not hesitate to go back. ( with my bleach of course😂😂)

Lake front Kitchenette

We were looking for a quick getaway.   We stay near this location often but couldn't find a room.  Lakefront had one.... There are lots of pros and cons to staying here.  I cannot review the campground or pool as we did not use them.
Here Goes:

Pro-New dock renovations were obvious
Pro-Remodeled room with great view
Pro-Smooth check in and check out
Pro-plenty of outside grilling and seating
Con- Rooms are not well insulated and noise levels were high
Con-Kitchen utensils were limited (We go to the places so we can grill and cook)
Con-Leaky ceiling in bathroom
Con-They are doing long term rentals to people who have basically moved in... Needless to say some of the things that went on late at night were very unappealing.  This is the reason I rated Lakefront as a 3 instead of a 4.   At one point I was on the dock fishing and a lady came out on the second floor and proceeded to cuss out the guy who was mowing the grass... I would have been very nervous if we would have had young children with us.
All in all, Lakefront is about like most of the older, fishing resorts on the Hollister side of Taneycomo.   Of the 3 different places I've stayed in that area, I would rank this one in 3rd place. Nice Place

We stayed at Taneycomo Lakefront Resort for a quick little getaway and We were pleasantly surprised!  The place is right on the water, the rooms were clean (ours had a kitchenette), the fishing dock aloud space from other visitors and we caught a good number of fish!!!! Oh, did I say...IT IS RIGHT ON THE WATER!!!!!! The folks that own the property were extremely friendly! We will return soon! Very affordable with a MILLION DOLLAR VIEW!

Very affordable resort with a MILLION DOLLAR VIEW!

My wife and I spent 7 nights there because of their purchase 6 nights and get the 7th free. The facilities are spotless and the staff extremely helpful. The only downside is the location and difficulty in getting there because of the high traffic at the junction of Hwy 76 and Lake Shore Drive. Their entrance driveway needs paving too, but certainly understand budget requirements due to a poor tourist season (weather). The campsite was very easy to navigate and our pull through was exceptionally long,so we could park our RV, dolly and toad in the slot, without having to park in the overflow.

Beautiful campground and immaculate facilities 

With the high reviews I expected more. When we plugged in our site it had an open ground so we used another one that ran under our RV. The covers were off the boxes as well.  The last person left their sewer hose laying on the ground, extremely unsanitary. We had spotty wifi at best and we never did get cable l. The lady at the front desk knew absolutely nothing about hooking up the cable box. The RV spots are arranged weird with an electrical box in the middle of our outside living space. There is no place to walk your pet. It  seems pretty run down. This was our 1st visit to Branson and we WON'T be staying here again.

Won't stay again

This was our second time here because we loved staying here last year.  We were worried we weren't going to be able to with the flooding but yeah we could!

We had a pull through site with full hook up, cable & internet.

The sites are a tad close but still very private. 

The ladies bathroom is very nice.  It could be stocked a little more I donated hand soap and toilet paper.  The first bathroom tends to get clogged.

The dock is beautiful and several of us hung out by the fire at night with other guests.

We love this place so much and can't wait to come back next year!

2nd visit and sad to leave!

Just returned from a 3 day weekend at this resort.  I must say the owner & workers are the friendliest, most helpful folks we have ever encountered at the Trout Resorts on Lake Taneycomo.  We have had the experience elsewhere where we were ignored or treated rudely because we were only there for a couple of nights while those that stayed for the full week were treated differently.  Anyway, rooms are nice, & clean though the bathroom is a little tight.  Are basically motel rooms converted into kitchenettes.   We're not there for the rooms anyway, we just want to enjoy the great outdoors.  That being said, if we would have caught fish, I'd have given it 5 stars.  Even though the owners had nothing to do with that.  We will go back, soon I hope.
