I was really impressed with hotel! The 2⭐️ rating should be much higher, it’s my understanding that many upgrades have been made. The room was very spacious and CLEAN! It’s an older hotel so there’s some wear and tear but you can see progress being made. Beds were comfortable and new! BONUS! Tonya at the front desk was exceptional, y’all need to keep her at all cost. Overall, I really enjoyed this stay and would highly recommend it not be overloooked.

JUST WOW!

NEVER EVER STAY AT THIS HOTEL. This hotel was like staying at a halfway house in a third world country. Alcohol and drugs, quests were so loud with music and partying way into the early morning. Bugs were in the room, room was dirty and so run down. We were tired after a long travel day so I did not check the reviews before booking. I looked at the Econo Lodge Inn & Suites (PA279) Chambersburg, PA 17201-299reviews after we checked in and realized I made a huge mistake. We did not feel safe at all. Don't go by the early reviews because this hotel changed hands and management does not care about this hotel. CHOICE needs to take these type of hotels off their site... they are damaging their brand

RUN do not stay at this hotel

I am contacting Codes department this place needs to be shut down. I was not refunding my $ could not even spend the night there. Drunk underage kid falling over drunk upon checking into our room. Could not sleep the smell was enough to give me a headache. Bugs in bathroom. Pool was green. They stated "under renovations" sorry no sign of any contractors anywhere on the property.

Disgusting

DO NOT COME HERE!! I booked the king suite through hotels.com the room was suppose to have a jacuzzi, king bed, separate living room area with fold out couch and TV. When we walked in the room smelled like mold and urine. There was one working light in the whole room. There was no jacuzzi, no working light in the restroom. The furniture legit looked like it came from a trap house, and thats being nice. The mattress was so disgusting and caved in. The couch was literally broken in the middle like someone was body slammed on it. There was whole parts of carpet ripped up. But that's not even the nastiest part. There was actual feces on the walls of the hotel. ACTUAL HUMAN FECES ON THE WALLS!!! And then let's start in on the fact that it had cockroaches!!!!! This place should be shut down. The fact that they gladly handed over a key card for that hotmess disgusts me. And the fact that Hotels.com only had the solution of well you should get your money back eventually is absolutely unbelievable as well. We are 12 hours from home still and just finished driving 12 hours. I would be embarrassed to be employed by this company. We were in our room for a whole minute and walked right out and demanded a refund.

If your not Picky and want cheap shelter, its not Terrible. The Other reviews are by Families with kids and might be overly Critical. Place needs overhauled but the Basics are there. The outside Doors all being unlocked/broken works out great if you have a Date and don't want to interact with the staff and just come and go discretely. It should be assumed the Entire Hotel is a Smoking hotel. Former Trucker and Maintenance guy.

Great No-Tell Motel

Only stayed because could not drive anymore
No covid protocols at all. Probably in violation of health codes.  No masks or sanitizer
The smell hits as soon as you hit the hall leading to stairwell.  Stairs were filthy, the same dirty towel on floor was still there when we checked out!
The smell in the air was a combo of human funk, stale cigarettes and dirty dog!!!
Vomit or dog crap was on carpet in front of room 244 we were in room 240
Carpet was so threadbare in room and filthy
Bedding did not smell clean so was probably not changed. Only top sheet, no comforter or bedspread
Room smelled like hallway so was also probably not cleaned, was definitely not disinfected 
Shower was dirty.  Stain on shower curtain.
Toilet was dirty, streaks on inside of bowl.
Bathroom floor dirty
Checked out same day we checked in after getting some sleep. Website says no pets but we saw several, 1 especially big pit bull a few doors down
Vent of AC unit filthy
Man at the desk upon checkout did not care when I complained about all of the above
Was unable to even sleep the smell was so bad

Disgusting! Smelly! Very dirty! Welfare Hotel! Do not Stay!!!

Do not stay here unless you really, really have no other place to go. Non-smoking room was so strong smelling of smoke that my eyes burned. No microfridge as stated. Very, very shabby and beat up room. Carpet was disgusting. Sheets and bathroom were clean however, and they accepted my two dogs like a normal Motel 6 - small blessing. All of my things that were in there now need major laundering.

Horribly smokey and in major need of a remodel

The Lobby is the nicest thing about this hotel.  We were given a room on the second floor.  As we neared the upper part of the stairwell we were overwhelmed by the smell of rotten garbage.  We hurried to our room hoping that the smell did not pervade the room.  The room smelled slightly better.  When we turned on the light we noticed the light fixture at the door was broken and hanging down. The wallpaper was peeling and buckled from water damage.  The beds were made inside out.  The floors were disgusting.  The bathroom was half made up.  I realize you get what you pay for, but this is ridiculous.  The smell was overwhelming.  This was my first time at a motel 6 and likely my last...  Would rather sleep in the car.

Gross

Both rooms were clean, Spartan, but clean.  Left first room as AC didn’t work.  Second room the AC sounded like a highway, but it worked.  Bedside lite didn’t work, wasn’t plugged in; and no outlet close enough.  Other bedside was plugged into an extension cord.  Whaddya want for 60 bucks!?  Place needs maintenance.  Have now stayed here twice in one nite - first and last.  

Have stayed in much better Motel 6

Had 3 different friends with kids wanting to stay here over the weekend, all got their money re-funded. The rooms either smelled like smoke, were not even cleaned, beds not made, and one of the rooms was unbearable with the trash and stuff that was left behind. There is a reason this is so cheap, ya get what ya pay for! The biggest problem was trying to find another hotel with a room available.
