I have stayed here in the past, and saw the improvements that are being made to this motel.  The room I had on the second floor was clean, quiet, comfortable with a King bed, microwave, coffee maker, toiletries, and soft, clean towels.
Staff at the front desk were friendly and accommodating to put me in a room of my choosing.
I would stay again if visiting downtown Chico.

Nice stay

I was in a DV situation and they let me stay a long time with my family and they were super accommodating. Everything was pretty clean and anything that was wrong with the rooms was fixed super promptly as they have a maintenance person here most days. Nice staff too 🙃

I feel the hotel is very underrated, there is a basic breakfast, great staff, Jay was very helpful in fixing a credit card mix up, there is a well kept pool, the housekeepers do their jobs, adequate toiletries towels sheets and blankets. Cable tv, k really want to recommend it to anyone on a budget looking for care and hospitality, there's no bugs or roaches and I see they're working hard to fix ensh the damage in rooms caused by crazy trashy people. I'd give 10, starts If I could

Loved our room great price

We needed a reasonably priced room for the night and this fit the bill.
The  room was clean, comfortable, and centrally located. The staff was friendly and helpful with the TV and air conditioning . The bagged breakfast was just what we needed to start our day.

Just right one night

DON'T GIVE THESE CRIMINALS YOUR MONEY! These people are frauds, I have never been more angry or upset with a hotel stay. I've stayed in a lot of bad motels, but I normally know what I'm getting into. Not so with this place. Every picture online is a lie, the rooms and building look nothing like the picture. Absolutely nothing like the picture. I booked a non-smoking room with queen beds, I got a room that smelled so bad of smoke that we went and bought candles for the smell, and there were only full sized beds, not queen, which I paid extra for. The check in attendent promised they would be queen. The worst part is that they are very loudly renovating the hotel currently and they start very loud work early in the morning. I have been ripped off, I have been lied to, I wasted a lot of money, and I really wish that I stayed at the cheaper motel across the street. The people who run this place are dishonest, the rooms are absolutely disgusting, the building is bad, and the noise is unbearable. NEVER STAY HERE! Not worth even half of what I paid, the owners should be ashamed of this disgusting sham of a business.

Avoid this dirty noisy disgusting scam

The first room we entered smelled so horribly from cigarette smoke, that we had to ask for a new room. Second room smelled more like pot, which was way more tolerable. The beds were comfortable. The shower was disgusting and didn't even shower, there. It was quiet when we stayed. Neighborhood seems kind of spooky at night with a fair number of seemingly harmless homeless nearby. Found a decent Italian recent nearby. Really needs some fixes. Would only stay there again if I had no other choice. 

Not the worst place in the world

The night shift staff was very friendly and that is the high point of this review.
The room was DIRTY! 
No power in the bathroom 
1130 at night after working a 12 hour shift and a 5 am start time I was told that they could call the on call maintenance person, but not sure if they would come in.
Used a lamp that was in the sitting area to have light to shower and use the bathroom. Was informed by management that oh yes it was a breaker issue. Management should educate their staff on how to deal with the lack of power in a room. Or better yet here is a concept "Fix the problem". Was not offered a different room that had power or was clean.
Three phone calls to the manager, being told that she would get back to me.
A fourth phone call and finally contact with the manager and was informed that yes it was a breaker issue. When I requested that I should be compensated for the DIRTY ROOM and now power in the bathroom I informed that she would look into it and hung up on.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! DO NOT GIVE THIS BUSINESS YOUR MONEY

Hotel rm stunk, tiles broken in bathroom, mold on bathroom curtain. DO NOT STAY here. Come here if you like to save money and get accused of your dog sniffing flowers, when a worker thought she was peeing.

BEWARE

We came for a visit with friends on 10/11-13/19.  The room we had wasn't so bad (couldn't get the air conditioner fan to stop running though), but the room our friends had was awful!  We've been here before, but it's really gone downhill, and we won't be returning.  Here's a few of the things wrong: Two unidentifiable bugs and a spider found (alive).  The sink faucet was so wobbly it felt like it would break.  No hangers in the closet (none in our room either).  Rooms reeked of old smoke or just old.  Bike parts and junk outside the door in the hallway.  TV didn't work.  Light switches were sensors and controlled TV and refrigerator.  Old coffee left in coffee maker, which wasn't cleaned.  Hallway outside room not swept clean.  Window screens off and left outside in the hallway.

Won't be returning

We had to book another hotel.  There was no way to get our money back, but some things are more important than money.  Too many issues to list, but it was disgusting and the manager kept stopping short of giving us another room. Almost like she was trying to drive us away so she could keep our money and book it again.
