Awesome resort, beautiful/private sites, friendly people.  Clean common areas and pools/hot tubs.  Very remote area but absolutely beautiful resort.  Highly recommend if your looking in the area.

3 night stay 

We stayed two days at a dockside space. Other than a leaking spigot that was easily remedied by changing spigots everything worked. 

These spaces are owned by individuals. Pricing is high but the accommodations were first class. 

Kenny, the manager, was very helpful. 

Great resort

It takes a village…to turn a corner or park a motorcoach in this park, and that is actually what happens. Whenever new coaches/5th wheels arrive in this ownership park, all the neighbors come outside to help the driver maneuver a corner or back into a site. Needless to say, the roads within this park are extremely narrow. But it does provide a way to meet the very friendly people who live here on a more permanent basis. To check into this park, one needs to go to the Marina Office, which also serves as the RV Resort Office. It’s very easy to miss, but if you know ahead of time, you can pull into the marina parking area and go to the office. If you bypass the office, you can pull into the staging area of the RV park and walk back to the office. Upon checking in at the office, we were graciously given a choice of two sites that were available for the duration of our stay. (Owners who are not using their sites make them available as short-term rentals.) We unhooked our car and drove into the gated park to check them out. We were very glad we chose the site that necessitated only one corner to navigate in order to back into our site, as that was complicated enough. But as we previously stated, by the time we were situated in our site, we had met all our wonderful neighbors. We enjoyed our site (#166), right on the lake/canal, with a dock, picnic table, and chairs. Lots of amenities are available at the resort: large clubhouse, fitness center, 3 pools with spas, boat launch facilities, tennis courts, shuffleboard, laundry, and bathhouses. During our month-long stay at the resort, we toured the majority of the area: Everglades National Park, Big Cypress, Turner River, Fakahatchee Strand Preserve, Ten Thousand Islands National Refuge, Half Creek, Everglades City, and Ft. Myers. Although we thoroughly enjoyed the area, the friendly people, and the park amenities, we would probably not choose to stay here again because of the difficulty in navigating a 45’ coach within the park.

It Takes a Village...

We spent 2 nights in a rental campsite during our first visit to the Everglades. I did not fully understand that this facility included mostly permanent / part-time residents, but this did not present any issues. The entire RV Park was well maintained and very clean. It was eay to maneuver and the campsite office, pools, and campsite areas were all easy to get to. My only issue was limited transportation if you do not have a car. There is no Uber or Lyft service, and the campsite office could not refer me to a taxi service. I found one on my own and was able to take my family inland for an airboat ride, but I would highly suggest bringing your personal vehicle or planning to drive your RV if you want to see anything outside the RV resort. 

Really nice area, but a little  more remote than expected

We stayed one night in a motel room.  It was very basic, but clean and serviceable.  It is not on par with what one experiences at a chain motel, but there are none of those within a reasonable distance.  

Motel Room Was Adequate 

We were told of this quiet up scale RV resort last summer and need a place to stay before going to the Keys for a couple of weeks. Do not be put off with the laid back manager. He is truly a
Great guy. He was able to book our dates but did not know if we would be on the water or not until we arrive. Understandable since
sights are mostly owned privately. We arrived and had a wonderful site 255 which was for sale right on the water next to the marina. We quickly got to know our neighbors who were lovely Kathy and Wanda. 
The recreation hall Has a lot of activities and there are three beautiful pools and hot tubs. I joined a lovely group of women for water aerobics most days. We bikes and my husband fished. This is a place to rest as there is not a lot of activity. Airboat rides and water excursion in Everglade city. There was a great Seafood Festival the weekend we arrived. Great music and awesome food. 
Try Havana’s restaurant on Chokoloskee great service and food.
The only thing I would advise is that the mosquitoes are bad after the sunsets for about an hour or so but later outings we were fine. 
Give this area a try!

First RV visit

Termite droppings from the ceiling falling in the bed. Cockroaches in the bed and running around the room.. infested our bags. Rat poop right outside the doors. Looks like it was recently painted with new floor except for the bathroom. The main bathroom light did not work, only the little one above the shower.

Do not stay at the Motel!

The site is clean, well maintained and very well maintained, from the bedroom to the island's infrastructure. The bunk bed is a dream. Wifi included and performing by Bungalow. Three buffets a day, varied and very well cooked. Little bemool: maybe we could extend the hours of access to the buffet. In short: it's all comfort without absolute luxury. The Maldives with this quality/price ratio is a wonderful opportunity. We look forward to returning there soon.

Paradise, round trip included.

It's a beautiful island, big enough, but you can feel alone in it. It's a very friendly and welcoming staff. The buffet is very good and varied. Walks in the big garden are really worth the wait.

Both the resort and the setting are idyllic with wonderful beaches and innovative facilities, all of which contribute to a welcome landscape and relaxation.
