We were excited to go here because of the history, but were very pleasantly surprised at how well it has been maintained. The pictures on the website don’t do it justice. The room was very clean and the beds were super comfortable. The beds did have the old fashioned comforters on them, but we just peeled those off and the bedding underneath was new and clean. The bathroom has been left in its vintage style, which we loved, but was well maintained and very clean. The staff were all friendly and there was a little Route 66 gift shop in the office where we got some cool T shirts. This was such a fun stop for our family and a great sleep for all of us.

A Pleasant Surprise

We did it for the experience and novelty of sleeping in a teepee.  Basically just slept there, but what better place.  We opted for a weeknight stay as the price was considerably higher over the weekend.  (We tried to book in Holbrook, where the prices are much lower, but they were full when we could stay.)  The shower was small and the shower head very low.  But, oh well, it's a teepee!    Beds were comfortable.  Had everything we needed for a short stay.

The Wigwam Motel exceeded our expectations with cleanliness and plenty of room inside. The booking and check in process went very smoothly. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. We would definitely stay there again!

The Wigwam Motel is a fun and unique place to stay!

We took a trip down Historic Route 66.  After staying at several Hotels and Motels we all agree Wigwam was our most restful and enjoyable stay. 
We would have never thought two queen size beds, a full bathroom, TV and refrigerator would fit in there. 
Our room was private and quite and the cleanest .
Staff was helpful and friendly and really made us feel welcome. The office was full of memorabilia which made it hard to chose what not to buy. 

The sunrise over the wigwams, palms and mountains was my favorite sunrise of all time. The colors bouncing  were right out of a  watercolor painting. Truely Breathtaking. 

Our only complaint is that so many of these locations have long closed down and wish we could have gotten the opportunity to stay at others like it. 

We will definitely be back! 

Best Stay Ever

The pictures online don't do credit to the updates they have done.  The rooms are very clean.  The laminate floors are great.  They have everything you need and the staff is incredibly friendly.  We would definitely stay again.

Wigwam was wonderful!

My stay at the Wigwam was brief, as I had to check out at 5:30am to catch a flight.  But I was so glad I chose it over a generic chain motel.  I was thrilled to see that it is mostly original and also exceedingly clean.  Yes, some of the original bathroom tiles are not in perfect shape, but they are original and beautiful! The staff was also very friendly and helpful.  The area was a little sketchy, but the motel grounds seem very secure and I felt safe as a solo female.  I can’t wait to go back in the summertime and use the pool! 

A short but sweet stay at the Wigwam

A trip down memory lane that truly lives up to your memories. We received a warm welcome at check-in and found our wigwam to be spotless and comfortable. The business is so well-kept up. The little kidney-shaped pool sparkled. Lovingly restored to its 1950's Route 66 heyday. We stayed here for a wedding in nearby San Bernardino and would book again in a heartbeat.

Clean, everything was so clean and tiddy. Service was also awesome. Free coffee at the office. Nice gift shop. Got clean towels in the morning. I needed to get away for a couple of days and I found the best spot around.  I will be back soon. We walked the property at night just for fresh air. I felt safe and it is so well maintained, all of the teepee's look like new.  They don't look like they have been there since the 40's. Great job Wigwam! It was quite too, slept like a baby. Stores are close just accross the street. I will be back.

The site is magical, it has travelled in winter and has been like a romantic retreat, in addition, the fact that parking the car right next to the room has been the most comfortable part of our entire trip, the site is close to the highway, restaurants, and with its own parking for each cottage.
