This place is a dump. Charged double advertised Amt plus a sketchy “cash deposit “ eventho we paid with a card. Will never stay here again.  Took over an hour to check in as well. Next may call the health department as there’s feces in the toilet, unknown something splattered on the walls, nasty carpet, and a sunken whole in the bed. Would have gladly gone elsewhere but traveling with an oversized load and had to stop for curfew. 

Dump of all dumps

This is the nastiest place I ever seen, a family member was staying there and since I was in Cookville I stop to visit. I had my dog with me and we were there for maybe 2 hours. Well, the housekeeper immediately snitched that we had a dog and we were charged $20 plus tax. We just stopped by, we were not staying there!!! The rude manager kept talking in his language with the snitch and when I asked him to speak English so I’d knew what he was saying, he said I could google his conversation because his employee (probably illegal) didn’t speak English…last time I checked English IS still the language of the United States!! While I was there I had to use the room’s bathroom and couldn’t believe how nasty the toilet and shower were, mold everywhere but he had the nerve to say my dog was leaving hair all over and people could see it but his snitch housekeeper couldn’t see how nasty the bathroom is to do a deep clean???
This is not a good place to stay, the room smells like humidity and is in desperate need of remodeling.
Stay away!!! 🤮

Health department should visit

We booked a room for 2 nights through Priceline as my husband walked through the door around 9:30pm.  He said the lobby was full of people waiting for a room btw.

Front desk told us they don't allow dogs.  That was fine- no problem.  So we were going to leave our dog to sleep in the car...60 degrees- beautiful night.  No problem, right?  Wrong.  They said we would be fined $100 if we did that.

Ok- fine.  So we asked for a refund.  They did not say No. They said we would need to do that through Priceline, but their manager would need to approve it and manager doesn't come in until next morning.  OK so we did that.  

 Priceline was OK with it, too, but said they needed the hotel to approve it.  

But when my husband showed up in person first thing next morning, he was told by the manager's wife that they would need to still charge us 1 night's fee.  Why?  If they can refund 1 night, why not refund both nights?  My husband says he thinks it is a soft scam.  

They tell you 'We can't refund till you speak with the manager', but by the time you speak with the manager, the refund for that day is expired

Priceline says they are going to escalate this issue.  Apparently, when Priceline called back to determine why only 1 night refund, the front desk hung up on them which Priceline said was very unprofessional.

The man behind the counter was very rude. The room looked clean at first glance but ultimately was not. The bed was made but the sheets were dirty. There was nonstop traffic all night long, including police. You could tell they probably get alot of calls to this hotel. The worst part was my family came over to visit and the kids wanted to swim. I never could have imagined there would be a problem with this. But the owner came out and yelled at a 15 year old girl and called her a thief because she was in the pool. He then very rudely explained there is an extra 5$ charge for each person. I thought this was crazy seeing as i had paid for the room, and there was no signs explaining this. But he continued to be rude and accuse us of stealing from them bc a child was swimming in their pool. Worst experience i have ever had by far!

Worst stay ever

What a great room for $50 plus tax. Everything was perfect and better than I expected for that price!  Booked from Expedia. Not many smiling faces but very nice people. Coffee was great. Room was good. 


Great

We had a very comfortable and relaxing stay over Memorial Day weekend. Gorgeous views of the Cumberland Plateau from every second-floor terrace, and from most of the property. The pool is excellent - large, renovated, spotless, in a great outdoor spot on the property. My 7 year old, who has travelled with us for work and so enjoyed a number of fancy hotel pools told me this pool is one of her 2 favorite ones, and kept saying "America's Best Value" is a great hotel!:) 

The rooms themselves have not been renovated in a long time, so don't come in expecting luxury, but the service, pool, and view more than make up for the older interior! 

A quick and easy ~ 5 min. drive to the heart of historic downtown.

Amazing pool, great service!

I was here for a quick one day work trip, and I must say the Value in America’s Best Value Inn holds upto it’s name. Nice clean rooms, with a continental breakfast and free WIFI with a fridge and microwave, will definitely be back in the future!

Ended up paying twice the amount I was quoted online for a room infested with roaches. Partner saw one crawling on the floor and I smashed one right by his head on the wall behind the bed. Place was pretty dingy which wouldn't have been as big a problem if I hadnt spent nearly $100 on a basic one bedroom room. Have paid the same amount for much cleaner and more spacious rooms at other locations. Going almost anywhere else would have been more ideal. Didn't book another room or ask for a refund because I was already in town for my mother's memorial, and didn't want to bother with the extra stress.

Roach infested

I was given a nasty room with urine all on the toilet. They gave me another room and we put our bags in it and stopped at the front desk and asked for more towels and went to eat. We got back to the room and the toilet in it had urine all over it and feces on the toilet paper holder. They would not refund my money after I immediately checked out. Called the next day and they still refused to give me my money back. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING PLACE!!

Disgusting and a rip off

Very friendly! Always accommodating! Room was very clean each time we stayed here. 
We choose this place for the convenience to Route 40. We travel back and forth each year to visit with relatives.  Very pleased!!
