The decor is beautiful but the bed was awful. I had to sleep on top of the down comforter to make it more comfortable. Pillows were flat. There is no breakfast during weekdays. In fact I never saw a staff person for 4 days. Keurig for coffee. Bottled water was not replenished.

Stay elsewhere

Just returned from a 2 night stay in Corinth at the General's Quarters.  This beautiful old home in Historic Corinth was a delight!  The home has been lovingly restored yet has modern amenities.  Huge comfortable bed with multiple pillows in a very large suite.  Giant walk in rain shower with regular showerhead as well.  Very nice bar area and restaurant.  Warm, friendly and helpful staff.  Walkable to historic downtown shops and restaurants.

Terrific stay in Corinth 

My mom and I were visiting the area to see Civil War Sites (Shiloh, etc) and we needed a place to stay in Shiloh. I was a little reticent based on older reviews, but found out there were new owners and the space was completely renovated recently. I had an absolutely lovely experience staying at the Generals Quarters. The service was terrific, the breakfast in the morning was delicious, and when there was a storm and the power went out briefly they checked in on us and made sure we were ok and gave us provisions. 

I thought the beds and the room itself were very comfortable and clean, the location is also excellent. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area who doesn't want to be stuck at a big chain hotel. 

Great Service And a Comfortable Place to Stay

I came here for a convention and got booked at the general quarters. This place is newly renovated and beautiful. The room I stayed in must’ve been the largest one because it was massive. It’s still felt fairly classic but has a lot of modern design.  I definitely recommend staying here and I sure will the next time I’m in Corinth.

I met the owner and she was absolutely incredible, and made sure that we were happy and full before we headed out each day.

Incredibly charming with renovated modern amenities

I stayed at the newly renovated General's Quarter Inn for one night while in town. This place is beautiful and is located in a great neighborhood. My room was comfortable and the shower was great with plenty of hot water and water pressure. Can't say enough great things about this property and I will definitely be staying here again. 

Great One Night Stay at The General's Quarters Inn

If I could give negative stars I would. Back in June I booked one night in the Generals Quarters Bed & Breakfast, securing it with my debit card. In early August I changed my trip and cancelled. Last night my credit card was charged not once but three times. I called the bed & breakfast and a man answered. I explained what had happened. He complained that he had been waiting for me for four hours. I pointed out that since I had canceled, I had no idea he was waiting for me. I told him I had canceled and could send him my phone bill. He gave me his name and asked me to send him my phone bill. His name was Chef Luke. I sent it within 10 minutes. He also said he had only run my credit card once. I disagree with that. He gave me his email to send him my phone bill which shows the cancellation phone call. I sent him my phone bill, a screenshot of the phone call also, and a screenshot of being overdrawn. I also called back and explained to him how to search my phone bill which is a PDF. He said he'd look into it. This morning I'm still overdrawn and there are no reversals. There's also no email looking into it. So today, I'm going to have to deal with their mistakes (charging my credit card more than once and in fact charging it at all since I canceled). This is extremely unprofessional and dishonest.

Apparently, I should have read the other reviews because I'm not the only person who apparently has had this problem. 

The man I spoke with kept saying he was going to look into it. He definitely bordered on unfriendly.

Day 2: I called at 6:18 am and called to ask whether he'd looked into it. Chef Luke said he was asleep and would look into it when he woke up and hung up on me. He received my proof last night and could have looked into it then. I told him I was overdrawn. I sent him all the proof he needs. This is his mistake and he needs to correct it. He's had my proof since 7:23 pm yesterday evening and he's not bothered to look at it, being fully advised that I'm overdrawn because of his mistake.

Final Resolution: The credit card company ruled for me

Avoid At All Costs

Luke, the proprietor, was welcoming, genial and very helpful without being the least intrusive.  Breakfasts were simple, but hearty and filling - very enjoyable.  The house is old and furnished with antiques - as would be expected - so not the most plush or comfortable.  My room was on the second floor (no elevator, of course), but it did look like there is at least one room on the main floor if stairs would be a challenge for you.  Absolutely, I would be delighted to stay at The Quarters again.

Update: this is a direct copy and paste from the owner.

"michelle,I talked to the bank and they will credit the two over charges.should take two business days.the original charge stays as I was unable to find a cancellation of your stay.I will however extend a room credit for you,which can be used anytime in the next 6 months. sincerely, chef luke". 

My response: 

"Luke, 

You saw my phone bill. Why would I have called you over a month after making the reservation except to cancel. I plan on disputing this with my credit card company and I will be filing complaints with the Better Business Bureau and writing reviews because I think, based upon your previous reviews, that this is something you do to unsuspecting people like myself. So, extending a credit is not acceptable, since I would never choose to use it.

Very comfortable, clean room No. 6.  Definitely pet friendly with a side porch for easy in and out with a dog.  The grounds are clean and neighborhood terrific for walking.   Breakfast a little early for me at 8 am but it was very good.  And, there is not ice machine if that matters to anyone.  Room 6 was very large with a fireplace, sofa and lounge chair.  I would recommend this B&B

Your pet is most welcome!

This B/B sounded great on TripAdvisor , but did not live up to my expectations . Pretty on the  outside in a nice neighborhood , ok inside , a little dated . Innkeeper was ok upon arrival , but not overly friendly . Gave us a different room than he had told us about , upstairs instead of downstairs . Room was ok , Bath was very small !! He served us our breakfast and walked away , said hope you enjoy with no feeling what so ever . Can’t really recommend this B/B .
