We got our key and had a really hard time trying to open the door of our room.  When we got in the room the 1st thing we noticed was the curtains hanging on the window. I pulled back the curtains and the window had a crack through the whole window with a hole about 3 inches in the middle of the window. The back of the curtains had some dark strips of stains on them. The ceiling has brown wet spots, bugs in the sink, the a/c unit was broken with lots of dusts on the filters, microwave was burnt inside, refrigerate has stains and rust on the racks.  The entry door appeared to have been broken into or someone attempted to break into it. There is a power strip free hanging on the wall with one outlet burnt, popcorn on the floor in corners of the dresser.  The chairs by the window had some dark blue dried stains on them, the lamp shade was bent and the lamp was leaning against the wall between the beds. We pulled back the bed spread and there was black mold stains on the one and at that time we started taking pictures and had to remove ourselves from there. I did not attempt to go into the bathroom portion after what we had already seen.

Horrible do not even consider staying at UTE motel

The only good thing I can say is that I didn’t see any bugs. And that’s probably because you’re in dry, high desert conditions. 

AC didn’t work, stained sheets, used shampoo/conditioner. It honestly looks like the last time this place was up and running was 1982. 

I don’t even stay at “nice” hotels. I’m a modest traveler. All I ask for is a clean appearance and a safe feeling.

I stayed at a Days Inn the night before this for $70, this place was $60, and the difference is a worlds worth.

I wouldn’t reccomend staying here unless you don’t have a choice.

Better than sleeping outside I guess

I really enjoyed my stay at the Sleeping Ute Mountain Motel and it was a great value as well. It is pet friendly, has very ample parking (even for trailers ), it is clean  and quiet. The staff was very helpful pointing out all the services and restaurants in town. Gene even helped me load my motorbike on to my trailer! And yes they are Broncos fans!

Great Place

management friendly and helpful.  rooms bigger than expected.  parking much better than appearing from highway.  pet friendly.  exercises area for pets in back.  grill area and shaded picnic benches in back.  refrigerator, micro and large cable tv.  wifi.  beds reasonably comfortable (used to memory foam).  condition and cleanliness good for economy motel.  parking area adequately lit.  relatively quiet from other tenants and traffic.  would not hesitate to stay again.

Room had been smoked in. Was told was non smoking. Not clean. Bad smell. Lamp didn't come work. Only stayed  one night because we had to. Cancelled the rest if the nights. Would recommend that no one stays there and trip adviser should remove it
