Yes, the location is ideal if you are visiting CMA. However, it is the only game in town. I have stayed at Culver Cove for several summers, over 4 consecutive weekends until - I was placed on anti-anxiety medication and was appointed a 4lb  service support dog. I was in compliance with my ID for my SSD, I actually disclosed this information upon making reservation in addition to upon check-in. My SSD - was properly harnessed & in my company at all times. Sitting on my lap outside under a patio table most of the day, to be specific. However, due to the lack of knowledge of such circumstances, the other guest's apparently complained as they were not allowed to bring their Dog. Completely a different deal. The staff was unaware of the circumstances as to which I had to elaborate and hand a copy of the ADA regulations. This did not satisfy the staff. They contiued to knock on the door all day long. This agitated my SSD and would elevated her barking, obviously. Though she was fully crated when indoors. It will take this happening to the wrong person with the wrong disability before I believe the staff will comply.
A Service Animal  is not only utilized for blind or deaf people -   a person with mental illness to take prescribed medications, calming a person with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) during an anxiety attack, or performing other duties. Service animals are working animals, not pets. The work or task a dog has been trained to provide must be directly related to the person’s disability. By ADA regulations, I was under compliance - therefore, the staff had no justification to ask why I had a SSD nor to harass me all weekend and state that I would not be allowed back if I brought my SSD. Unbelievable.

Enjoyed our stay, our condo was owned by an individual and had extra amenities. Beautiful balcony overlooking the water and beach area. The only reason I'm not giving 5 is it is a little dated but overall nice and clean! 

Very Nice Waterfront Condo

Place was very close to everything we needed.  Checked in late and they had security to help after hours to get into our room. Clean and quite.   Beautiful view of the lake. Perfect for a weekend hockey trip.

Winter hockey trip

I cannot say enough about this beautiful place.  The room was huge, with a well stocked kitchen.  The view of the lake  out of the sliding glass doors to the patio was gorgeous.  This was off season, so I doubt the serenity would be as evident when families are there visiting their students at the Academy and using the lake in the summer, but it made my stay wonderful.

My only complaint is that once the front desk attendant left for the evening, there was no way to access the locked fitness room.  The indoor pool was wide open and lovely, but not my interest.  Fortunately, I flagged down a fellow, I assume in maintenance, who got out a key for me. it was way before the 9 P.M. posted closing time for the room, so I only got lucky to catch the fellow passing through who could let me in. Other than that, it was a perfect stay.

There is an upstairs balcony with windows all around looking down on the main floor and out to the lake. This would be a gorgeous setting for a wedding.

 My family member who had followed me over but were moving on without staying, were exclaiming that they definitely wanted to come back and rent a room of their own in the summer, they were that impressed with the venue. The price was in the $200 range, but well worth it for a special trip.

Glorious

The Culver Cove was a little disappointing, it is starting to show it's age. Also, who builds a condo building with bedroom windows right by the front door and then puts a spotlight above the front door that cannot be turned off. The bedroom was so light we could not sleep. Also, if no hair dryer in some units, they should not say they have them. You have to go down to the desk and sign one out.

Getting dated.

This is the second time I've stayed at The Cove for various reunions at the academy.  Each unit is owned privately and rented out as needed.  There is an indoor pool and beachfront access with piers.  All units have balconies and I think most are 2 bedroom. During this most recent stay, it appeared the unit had been renovated, but the kitchen needs some work and the jacuzzi tub in the upper bedroom seemed superfluous. Even though I shared with a friend, it was still over $700 each for 3 nights only!

Convenience at a cost

It has a very nice view of the lake, the rooms slightly neglected smell of humidity, and the facilities well generally without the typical pueblo luxuries is to disconnect you from the rest of the world good to dry.
