The inn has large rooms and is close to the beach and restaurants in Harwichport. Very good restaurant also at the Inn. I have stayed there twice. I would highly recommend the Inn and restaurant. It is in s good location to visit other parts of the Cape.

Mooncussers Inn and restaurant

We stayed in room #2 and it was gorgeous! The bed was beyond comfortable and I absolutely loved the wooden beams and hardwood floors. This is a place for those who enjoy the simple yet elegant things in life. It's charming and has a wonderful history. It's located in a good area, close to many places to eat, shop, and even the beaches. You really should try their restaurant as the food is delightful. Patrick and his wife were very pleasant and accommodating. The restaurant staff very friendly and helpful as well. Just an all around wonderful place to stay.
I'm so glad we chose to stay here.

Beautiful Room

An unusually good dining experience on the Cape.  Our favorite is to graze on small plates with a good wine. The wine selection is noteworthy and the wait staff knowledgeable, helpful.  The small plates are imaginative.  They serve a mini steak and egg plate that is a show stopper.  My wife and I like to share most plates such as the cheese selection.  Most choices are easily shared. The meals are delicious, just too much food.  Some evenings there is music in the bar.  This is not a tourist season quickly turn tables sort of place and as residents, that really matters to us.  Enjoy!

dinner and entertainment

We really enjoyed our dinner at this establishment.  The staff was attentive and not overselling of specials or 12$ martinis.  The food was well above average. Not a huge menu, but what they did it was done very nicely.   I had the Halibut, lobster fondue, tuna tartare, gourmet burgers etc.  Don’t think of this place simply as a tavern.  You can easily have a large party without a problem.   Got enjoy, we did.

We did not have a favorable experience at this restaurant.   We waited over an hour for our food and when arrived it was undercooked.  I would not recommend this restaurant.  Poor service and very stuffy atmosphere.

Bad experience

This is not baseball. TWO STRIKES you are OUT.
We dined here when it first opened. After being seated up against a window with a BLOWING WINDOW FAN,having our food arrive cold and over 1:22 minutes, we decided never to return. However, It’s a tough business! Tried again!
We arrived 10 minutes early and were seated right away because the main dining room was pretty empty.
Off to a good start.
That proved to be the highlight of our dining experience.
Our server, although very sweet, never checked on questions I asked regarding ingredients and prep of my entree. I have a severe poultry allergy and VEGAN >40 years.
Our off the regular menu entrees were placed within 15 minutes but arrived over 1:05 minutes later.No status updates given during this time either.The side dining room is tight and LOUD.
We found ourselves speaking louder ourselves because it was impossible to hear.
When the entrees arrived, mine was NOTHING like the description on the menu. 
“Grilled Vegetable Napoleon-Grilled marinated zucchini, summer squash, eggplant, red pepper and a pesto aioli.” Served with choice of garden greens OR fries.Well my entree which looked like it was literally tossed on a plate was half a sliver of each of the above mentioned on a hamburger roll (the vegetables didn’t even cover the roll!) a few FRIED fingerling potatoes which again were sliced in half and portion of greens. There was also the pesto which i specifically asked them to leave OFF the dinner.My choice was the entree without the pesto and the salad ( which accompanies the entree). I asked for s side of the ROASTED fingerlings if available. I never go an answer on the ROASTED potatoes. When I questioned the entree our server brought over the menu and stated that the entree is actually a “burger”!
The potatoes were not “roasted” and MINIMAL therefore I had no idea what or why they were served. Bill$15 for entree ,additional $10 greens salad. I brought it to the servers’ attention! SORRY BUT...never again

No, no don’t go!

We went here for a date night. There is an old bar/tavern atmosphere which was nice. It is however loud and warm inside. There was a long wait for the food but that was ok we were in no need to rush. Wine options were great. Menu is limited. Food was ok. For the prices the portions were small and lacked flavor. This place has potential but there are better options out there for the prices.

What a nice change to find somewhere that serves great food and that doesn’t rush to get you out. Being English we find it very frustrating that so many restaurants in the USA get you in and out in less than an hour. Patrick, the owner is a brilliant host and we were sorry that we hadn’t discovered Mooncussers earlier into our holiday. We both had the fillet mignon which was cooked to perfection and would have no hesitation in recommending the inn to anyone.

Great atmosphere and unhurried place to eat.

We were looking forward to staying at Mooncussers while traveling to the Cape for a friend's wedding... and it lived up to every expectation. Arrived during the mad rush of dinner - the hostess showed us right up to our room and showed us around the place. Bed was super comfy, coffee, fireplace, A/C, tv, big bathroom... it had everything we needed. Room 2 out of only 5 rooms... it felt like we were visiting our childhood home. Cozy, charming, welcoming.

Best part and surprise: BRUNCH! After being disappointed we had to cancel our dinner reservations at the restaurant downstairs (I hear it's amazing - and I'm sure the full house agreed) - we were happy to discover that they are now open for brunch on the weekends. Apparently they don't market this widely yet, so we had the entire place almost to ourselves. The stuffed French toast is AMAZING... so of course we went both mornings.

We'll definitely recommend this place to friends, family, and hope to stay again in the future!
