We came in to town for a funeral from South Carolina, we needed one night to stay. I usually read reviews but we were tired and Eden being a small town I didn't expect our room to be the way it was. After we got unpacked and inside we found dead baby roaches laying everywhere we decided that we just would not go barefoot we were tired ready to go to bed. I itched during the night didn't realize until the next morning when I looked on my neck and shoulders that I had bite marks all over me. I found dead bed bugs which I'm sure there was some live ones and that's what bit me. We decided to check the room over and make pictures and the bed skirt we lived it up and the box springs mattress had mold all in it. The tub had purple stuff all over it that would not come off We even joked was it luminol. We decided to let the manager know and she told us that we were liars that they had checked all the rooms and there were nothing like that in any of their rooms. The maintenance guy we talked to him and he said yes we've had a problem with bed bugs but we really been on it trying to get rid of them. It would have been nice to know that before we went in. The manager said we would not be getting any of our money back because they were not at fault we were lying. This place is horrible if you don't believe it read all the other reviews if I had read them we'd have never been in this situation. The sheets had cigarette burns and the bedspread also The pillows were nasty. It would not go through without me giving it at least a one or I wouldn't have given it anything


A total nightmare

We know that the A/C sure was ice cold ❄️ but the only problem for me being disabled is that the Toilet Seats were very low. We ate at some great restaurants as well as my family and me had Papa John’s delivered to us on Sunday October 30th night!

We stayed at this motel because we attended the Nascar race nearby.  The price ($200) was normal for race weekend.  I had never stayed at an Econo Lodge before, so I was skeptical.  The room was basic, but not too bad.  It seemed clean and the shower was good.  The beds were reasonably comfortable and most things in the room worked correctly.  The only thing that didn't was the light switch in the bathroom.  We had to use the flashlight on our phones for light, but other than that, everything else was fine.  It was quiet there and the lady at the front desk was nice.  I'd possibly stay there again.

Better than expected, actually

So my pregnant wife, 3 kids and I went to Eden to visit family and decided to stay the night because everyone was so tired. Out of 3 hotels, Econo was not full. I go the room and looked all around inside and found a syringe under one of the mattresses. I have 3 kids!! This is very UNSAFE!! Either the maids are not checking and cleaning the rooms good, or the staff is leaving syringes for the drug addicts to use. Either way this is not right and I am very unsatisfied. Also if you want a comfortable bed, this is defiantly not the place for you. Make sure you check UNDER the mattresses!!

Absolutely terrible

We stayed at the Econo-Lodge in Eden in June. Although they have updated some of the rooms, the room we stayed in had peeling paint in the bathtub and old carpet. I know they have nicer updated rooms, presumably they were all occupied. I will probably ask for an updated room next visit

Convenient Location

The staff was very friendly and helpful but when we came into the room it was dirty. The floor wasn’t swept at all. The microwave , dresser and table were not wiped off . The bed sheets look as if they are not changed or clean . The bathroom was not clean and they left us half empty shampoo. I used to be a housekeeper so I know what should be done. Otherwise it was a good area hotel and staff was nice.

Clean

Bina and Jay have taken really good care of my family and I this month. We have came into town for two mountain bike races in Mayodan.  We will be back again next year and will be giving them a call.  Thank you.  

Great place while nearby for bike race

Me and my father traveled 6 hours to the Martinsville race in Oct. We had a conformation for the hotel room booked in July. After driving all day they couldn't find a room in our name. Upon giving them the confirmation number they found the reservation but said it had been canceled. I asked them why and they gave me the excuse it was canceled in Sept because the card given on file was declined. What they did not know is the card they were given has a limit of over 10k on it with no balance. He stated they also tried to call. There was no messages left or emails. Do not reserve a room at this place. Luckily we found a room available at a another hotel 15miles away actually closer to the track. I will never stay at an econolodge again. 

Sold my room that was booked for months

Great hotel! Employees and owners are so friendly and helpful. Very comfortable stay. Prices are reasonable. Great for families or couples. There's no pool but still worth it. Would recommend to anyone.

Great Hotel

This is older hotel. I can't complain for the price. Room was clean. Mattresses need updating. We didn't eat continental breakfast. There was a jacuzzi tub in our room which was nice. I have and would stay here again
