If you want just a bed for the night and a warm shower in the morning, you could save a couple bucks here. If you want to watch TV, have access to the internet, and almost get treated like a criminal on the run when you check in - then this is definitely the place to stay. The people that run this are the most unaccomidating people I have ever met, have no idea how they're in business. Rooms are tiny, beds are almost 4 feet off the ground. They have a wall heating/cooling unit that is so loud if you went through the trouble of signing up for an app to watch TV, you couldn't hear it without putting the volume to 100. They offered to move me to a different room on the other end of the building so I could have internet access so I could work after being there for over an hour. Had already given up. SAVE YOURSELF THE AGGRIVATION THAT YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE TO HAVE ON ANY TRIP AND DON'T STAY HERE!

Just Bad

The bathroom and sheets were super fresh and clean plus great A/C. The lady at check in was the SWEETEST. Yes - it is older and needs updates (flooring / lighting), but it is worth a stay. I will support them again.

Walk everywhere!!

Worst hotel experience of my life. They charged me $36 more than the exorbitant price on the receipt. The concierge was extremely rude and unhelpful. No amenities. One key with 2 beds. Paid $70 per fee, and they still said my dog couldn’t get on the bed. Deposit receipt only had a signature line that allowed the owner to add a tip to the amount later, and she added $20 to the deposit amount and never returned it.

Worst hotel experience ever! Trying to check in was a fiasco; RUDE, RUDE, RUDE! There’s nothing satisfactory about this place and especially for the price. Save your money and go elsewhere, anywhere but this dingy, outdated and dare I say smelly hotel.

Awful

While this place is nothing special , it suits its purpose . The room was very clean
and quiet . The bed was very comfortable and plenty of hot water . The towels were rather thread bare . It was very inexpensive and good value for price paid.
The new Mexican across the street was terrific . Would definitely return .

CLEAN AND CONVENIENT TO TOWN

The bed sheets look like they’ve never been washed. Woke up to cockroaches crawling everywhere. Staff was EXTREMELY RUDE. Microwave knobs broken off, no way to regular hot water in the shower.  This is the worst hotel stay I’ve ever had. 

Worst Hotel Experience Ever

I don't recommend this place. They have roach bugs (in fridge) and it's too expensive. The staff is VERY rude. I won't go back. Even if they have me a free room. I just don't understand how these foreigners even stay in business. My opinion that should go back where they came from. NOBODY should be treated with disrespect. This is my review, if it offends anyone then go see for yourself.

Review

Brought my family to Ellijay to visit extended family. Needed one night in a hotel before we flew out and was pleased to find an affordable option walkable to downtown. When we checked in it smelled like stale smoke. We had a closet but no hangers to hang up our coats. The lamps were new but still had the plastic on it with the message to take the plastic off before using. My sister’s room had mold on the shower curtain. All would have been tolerable but the walls were paper thin and while there were only maybe 5 rooms rented of the fifteen or so available, they put a couple in the room next door and my husband and I were woken up multiple times throughout the night by their loud activities. We would have moved rooms but while we only could sleep a couple hours our children luckily slept through it all.

Worst night I have ever spent in a motel

This is the second time that I have stayed here. 
It’s clean and a nice place to stay for the money. It’s within walking distance from the downtown area.
I visit Ellijay often and will stay here whenever I’m there

Nice place

Central location, just off the busy downtown commercial area with a delightful Mexican Restaurant across the street that was very reasonable & we had GOURMET meals. My Plaza del Mar seafood dinner platter was perfect & wife's 3 Shrimp Tacos were overloaded with shrimp. Most enjoyable relaxed atmosphere with owner's kids visiting to say hello!
