The Econolodge is great for individuals or families on a budget. Especially if you do not need the frills of expensive hotels. 

If you don't mind a simple room or care about the decor this could be an option.

There is a no pet policy, for those who are allergic to animals this could be a plus.

Located just off the I-5 for easy access for travelers and long haul drivers going through. The parking is plentiful and spacious, easily can accommodate for long haul trucks.

Location is quiet even though close to the street and near the I-5. 

The property has a closed pool.

Lodging on a budget.

We just needed a room to sleep in after a long day and weren't looking for luxury. This fit the bill, and was also very inexpensive. We got a single queen room and were pleased by the quick check in. The room was nothing special, but was quiet and clean. The bed was pretty comfy, but there were only 2 tiny flat pillows provided. Luckily we had brought our own pillows with us, so we didn't bother requesting any additional ones. The breakfast was okay, mostly just waffles and cereal. So, yes, the place is kind of bare bones, a bit shabby, and not luxurious in any way. BUT- it is comfortable and clean enough to get some sleep on a budget. 

Decent place

Visited here. Room fairly clean but needs renovations.  Not much for breakfast.  Rooms very cold. Not well insulated,  heater ran every 5 minutes and it was really loud. Heaters don't work very well. Over priced rooms.

Just okay 

I stayed here for two nights and was pretty pleased. The place looks run down but I asked for a remodeled room and was very pleased. Room was clean and good size bed was comfy, needed couple more pillows but I didn't ask either, nice big tv, shower was great, breakfast was just the normal hotel stuff. The people there were working very hard to get the outside fixed up the whole time I was there.. I stay in hotels a few times every month and I dont need nothing to fancy but this place was good and I would def stay here and will in the future. Good luck in fixing it up. Nice big hotel. People could be little more friendlier as well I thought.

Dont let looks fool you

It is a Choice hotel so for us that always means : good beds with pillow top matrasses and clean rooms. And that is probably the only good thing about this hotel. People at the desk where friendly but the hotel is going down. Outside painting is bad, lost of rotten wood . Rooms very bare, no fridge, no coffemaker, 1 shampoo for us both, thin towels but luckily no carpet on the floor but laminat  . Bathroom dated but clean. Everything is old and worn. 
This was our third Econolodge in the past year and it is not getting better. Will not stay here again also because the price ( 108 per night midweek) seems a little high. Breakfast of course nothing special but we don’t mind that , next to the hotel a fine breakfast for 4,99 .

What is happening to the Econolodge Choice Hotels?

Staff seemed arrogant and walls are paper thin. Booked on line right in front of them and accidentally hit the following night. Handed desk attendant the phone to show her and got told ‘too bad’ 24 hours notice to cancel.  Kinda sketchy room you wonder if they rent by the hour

Sucked

Ended up this was about the only accommodation  available during SeaFair weekend.  Paid over $140.00 per night for a room that should have been no more than $80.

Room 112 reeked of disinfectant; the furniture was in worn condition and the TV didn't work.  The room had not been vacuumed and the holes in the walls and door frame had not been patched.  The smoke alarm had been disassembled and pieces were sitting on the top of the TV stand.  There are quite a few rooms in this hotel but there was insufficient seating for those who came to the office for a continental breakfast with waffles between 7 and 9 am.  The grounds were in need of watering.  (is Seattle undergoing a water shortage?)

What DID work was the air conditioner which helped clear the air after a couple of hours.  The bed was comfortable and  the shower and toilet were functional.   

Went to Motel 6 the next night.  MUCH better at Motel 6 for half the price.

Hotel of last resort

The motel has free parking. Check-in was quick and efficient. The rooms have outside entries. The room had everything that I look for and I got a good night's sleep with a timely wake up call. Check out was also quick and efficient.

Good budget motel in Everett, WA

The hotel is right on the highway! The sound screen (in the room) does not work at all! The same applies to the rooms on the ground floor! You hear every movement from the upper floor! The room was still not cleaned enough and smelled when we stayed! From our point of view: not recommended!!!

Not to be recommended!

The sheets had already been used for love debates and when we complained at the office, one of the officials told us that she couldn't do anything the same night but that she would change the sheets the next day!!!We raised our voice and the sheets were changed for the night. It took a lot of humor to call what we used as a mattress, beds, they were rather crunchy boards with broken mattresses...at the price of the Super 8 the night before but, given the time we couldn't change accommodation. But you, change your way if you can get through there
