The staff at check-in is usually friendly, but there were people in front of us at check-in who were very exhausting, so the gentleman at the motel was a little stressed. We also noticed that the air conditioning didn't work in a room and they have been waiting for 2 hours for someone to fix it. When we got to our room we were immediately surprised by an unpleasant smell, although we booked an extra non-smoking room was very clear and it was clear that it was (at least at some point) a smoking room. Since it was already late and we were quite tired, we accepted it. The bathroom is not exactly a loading. The door to the bathroom/WC can't go out of the bathroom if you're full of positive smell... even a bathroom was very quiet, and the toilet was also very quiet, and the climate was very nice.

Room stinks and traffic is loud

Was headed back from seeing my daughter in San Diego. The hotel was nice. The area left a little to be desired, but I wouldn't say it was bad overall. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. I would stay again if I needed a room in Fresno again.

I have booked a non-smoking room at Rodeway Inn, 1240 N Crystal Ave,  Fresno California two weeks in advance and made the full payment with my credit card.  When I got there I was shown three rooms- all very very dirty and smelled of cigarette smoke.  Dirty carpet, very old and dirty linens.  You don't want to stay there even for a sec.  The whole place smelled of cigarette smoke.  Also the area does not feel safe at all.  I did not stay there and I did not get my refund either because I was told I paid the non-refundable rate.  I even did not pay any attention at the time of booking if I am paying a refundable or non-refundable rate because I was sure to go to Fresno and needed a place to stay. My booking was for a non-smoking room which they did not have and therefore I should have got my refund. I would not stay there free.
Also if you stay there, the management takes a copy of your ID.  I suggest that you register with a credit agency for a fraud alert.

Dirtiest hotel I ever seen, unsafe location

I am not one to write negative reviews but I feel a moral obligation to warn society of this place where vacations go to die. This was just a stop on our way to Yosemite and we were just looking for a low budget place to crash which I have done many many times. I don’t have high standards.  Maybe I should raise them a little..

Cons: 
-air conditioner smells like a swamp
-TV broke
-phone doesn’t work
-bathtub varnish is peeling off in chunks and 4 roaches came up from the drain to say hi 
-key card reader broken
-sounded like a motorcycle show was going on outsdide the whole night
-bad area of town 

Pros:
-they have beds 
-close to Taco Bell 
-we didn’t get murdered

The worst. Stay away.

Renovated room with floating floor, cigarette holes on the plaid, clean, bunk bed, roadside, no insulation on the door, small deck, but not very reassuring.

Oh, my God!

Had some business in town and just needed a no frills place for the evening. It exceeded what I thought I would get for the money. Everything was clean which was my main concern, and the bed did rest well. If I had business in town in the future I'd stay again.

Good experience

Excessively dirty (you can see it in the photos). Pels and stains on the bed, dead insects on the floor, walls that needed paint, etc... Very, very noisy, it's right next to a highway and as the walls and windows are very finite we don't stop listening to traffic all night long. In addition, our room was next to the stairs and when someone came down moved to bed! The air conditioner didn't work, so we got cold, along with other bad things in the room.

Very, very dirty and with a great sense of insecurity.

A very negative experience! Dirty linen, bloodstained clutter! Not to mention the mess of guys renting rooms for prostitutes for hours! In the middle of the night we were awakened repeatedly by crap, music and phone calls! never again!!

Pessimism is saying little!

This « hotel » was the worst ever. There were prostitutes, pimps and dealers all over the place, in front of the room and on the parking lot. It didn’t feel safe at all. Then the person at the office desk gave us the key. When we accessed the room, it was very dirty. It hadn’t been cleaned. The bed sheets had hairs on it and dog paw traces. The AC was broken and we could see mold on it. There was mold on the shower curtain as well. Even if the hotel is quite cheap, this is absolutely a shame to make people pay for that kind of service. It was so dirty that we left the place without spending the night. They did offer us another room but considering the first one... no thanks! The person at the office wouldn’t give us a refund, that’s a shame too considering the room they gave us. We had to find another hotel late at night. A nightmare ! 


Worst hotel ever ! Do not stay there !

Basic motel, far from everything, in the works, questionable cleanliness, some electrical outlets wrong, a little yellow water, breakfast in room 104, in short, chosen by our tour operator, otherwise we would have left
