Nice accommodations right in the middle of the quirky town of Girdwood. I would not have wanted to have the shared bathroom however, that was kind of small to share for people. Very nice breakfast as well and a really good coffee machine. Just take a walk all the way all around town really cool place we had dinner at chair five.

Quirky cool! get the private room

Comfortable bed, room was quiet and very convenient location across the street from several good restaurants. Room was quite small and had zero hanging space- no closet, no hooks on the walls in the room or outside the room. Was difficult after it rained all day and we had nowhere to hang anything up. Breakfast was provided (bagels, yogurt, oatmeal) juice and coffee in a roomy common area.  

Comfortable bed in convenient location

This is more of an upscale youth hostel than an inn. We never got an email with self service check in directions. The manager was less than helpful when we called. Fortunately the extremely friendly gardener was able to help us get into our room. We never once saw a staff member during our stay. The room was extremely small. Breakfast consisted of a few bagels. We would not recommend this place to anyone. 

Does anyone work here?

We stayed here one night towards the end of an 11 day road trip.  We were taking the train to Spencer Glacier the next day.  The communication before check-in was good with detailed instructions for finding it and checking in.  The room was very nice and the bed was the most comfy ever.  I liked the set-up with rooms separated for privacy with the open communal area stocked with a good selection of self-serve food and beverages.  Enjoyed meeting other travelers and sharing experiences over coffee.  Our stay was brief and we never saw any staff but I would stay again and recommend to others.

Very Nice

We have reserved a room for 3 with private bathroom. Everything very clean, very comfortable beds, heating managed throughout the facility. The hotel is unstaffed, but everything very organized. In the hall there are hot/cold drinks, yoghurt, fruit, snacks, both for a snack and for breakfast. All included in the price! I really recommend this facility!

Very comfortable accommodation!

Out of all the places I stayed in Alaska this is my favorite! Clean, gorgeous, peaceful, friendly staff, porches to sit outside in the long cool sunlit  evenings, 10 out of 10 would love to stay here again

Beautiful!

Stayed here on our way to Homer from Anchorage, after arriving by air later in the day. Be sure you get a private room with bathroom; some are shared. Coffee, bagels, and yogurt are provided in the morning. About three small restaurants, including pizza, are very close. General store with alcohol just a short walk away.

Cute little town

We had a large family group that booked the entire Inn for 2 nights.  It was the perfect situation.  But even if it had just been 2 or 4 of us, I would highly recommend the Ski Inn.  The location is perfect -- across the street and next door to two awesome restaurants/bars and practically next door to the "town" grocery store.  Each room has a refrigerator -- but be advised, probably no closet.  Staff was awesome, rooms were clean and beds were comfortable.  Our breakfast was simple (bagels, fruit, yogurt, instant oatmeal, and very good coffee) though we didn't have staff because we had rented the whole Inn, so it may be more if staff is present.  We were encouraged to pick the wild strawberries in the front garden and they were yummy!  Hope to stay there again!

Perfect stay at Ski Inn!

We were pleasantly surprised with how comfortable and clean the Inn was. We also loved the community area with an outdoor walk on checkerboard and just a few steps from the Mercantile. The WiFi, common room and snacks were an awesome surprise and greatly appreciated by our family. We are a family of six from ages 15-65. We stayed comfortably in two rooms with private bathrooms. Highly recommended!

Pleasantly surprised with the accommodations and amenities.

The Ski Inn is a great place to stay. The entire place was booked on our stay. The guests were all very quiet and respectful of everybody else in what is a pretty tight fit for everyone. Their are complimentary eats available in the lobby area as well as readings on things to do in the area. Our family of four had a second level room with two queen beds and our own bathroom that served our travel needs perfectly.
