Defined coming back! My boyfriend and I found this gem on a whim as we were road-tripping through Traverse City. Our room was CLEAN, bed was comfortable, bathroom was updated and very nice, air conditioning worked wonderfully, and the owners were very nice and friendly! A very pleasant experience and I highly recommend the Restwood Motel. We come up to Traverse City once or twice a year and so glad we found a place to call “home” while we visit!

A GEM!

Nice, clean, safe little motel. Reasonable prices.  Close to lots of activities. Friendly staff. Definitely would stay here again.  
Also offers little cabins, which I can only imagine are as good as the motel rooms.

We were looking for a family run motel to stay at and found a gem...
The owners were so friendly and accomadating.
The rooms were very clean and was close to everything for us and right by the bike trail

Hello, I just returned from a fun weekend in Traverse City and spent the weekend at the Restwood. No complaints folks. Clean, comfortable beds, just a short drive to the beach. Next door to Red Mesa and a great little store with ice , beautiful wines and hot cold take out foods. The owners were kind and very accommodating. No noice from the highway and no issues with other guests. Great little spot especially if you don’t want to spend $500+ on rooms elsewhere. We will be back. Thanks Rich!!

Great Stay at the Restwood.

I'm a self-employed frequent traveler, so it's important that I get a nice clean place for a reasonable rate. I've stayed here many times over a couple decades, never disappointed. The owner, Rich, is a great guy, patriotic American. If you have a problem with that, stay somewhere else, pay more.

One of my favorite places in the whole state of Michigan.

Hear a lot of road noise and garbage truck runs at 4:30 a.m , cable and WiFi out 90% of the time. Parking lot is kind of awkward needs to be re-striped. Didn’t try the air conditioner as we were out all day , but heat worked well but no temperature setting you’ll wake up sweating. Was really a nice and friendly manager/owner but didn’t solve the problems.

As the saying goes, you get what you pay for.

I was in traverse city for work this past weekend. I needed somewhere simple, clean and as Inexpensive as possible. The cabin I stayed in was clean and comfy. Everything functional and in order. The owner here is a great guy. Check this place out. I’ll be staying here again soon

The cabin we stayed in was clean enough, but the wifi did not work!! Very disappointing.
When I took a shower the shower floor filled up with water and was all plugged up, also the sink was plugged.
The maid certainly should have known this.
My husband was not able to use the shower as a result. He was offered to use another unit but that was just to inconvenient.
Won’t stay here any more.

Disappointed 

Its sad to see such negative reviews. Always stay here. Never had a dirty stinky room. Always so clean and comfortable. Owners are wonderful people. When traveling we always check rooms before paying. We don't here because it's always wonderful. Everyone has options but doesn't mean they are bad people. I give Restwood 5 stars

Love this place

I travel for work and am used to large chain hotels so it was a change to stay in a quaint motel that gives you the feeling of a rustic cabin. The rooms were very clean and surprisingly comfortable. Directly across from the lake and has, at least, two amazing restaurants within walking distance. The owners are very kind and gave great service. I will definitely stay here again and would recommend this location.
