In late September we canoed with Borchers and stayed at their terrific B&B.  What a wonderful find. Justin and Abigail, the young couple who own the canoe and kayak operations were lovely and so accommodating.  Their breakfast included a yummy quiche, light biscuits with homemade strawberry jam, fruit, juices, etc. Our 2nd floor room was spacious and the bed very comfortable.  Topping off the memorable experience, the Au Sable mid-afternoon scenic canoe trip in Borchers’ pristine canoes was a great  way to savor the beautiful scenery after  our 4.5 hour drive there from Ohio.


An absolutely delightful experience at Borchers

This was our second visit to Borchers Bed and Breakfast. It has been at least 10 years since the last time we stayed and the accommodations and experiences were excellent each time.  The room was very comfortable and had everything we needed.  The air conditioner worked extremely well and was appreciated.  The excellent breakfast and the conversations with the three other couples and the owners made for a great beginning to a new day!

Another Wonderful Stay at Borchers

What a delightful place to stay in Grayling. Abigail, Justin, and Anne were so welcoming and helpful. The Main Stream room was wee-appointed and comfy, with balcony access that allowed us to sit and watch the moonlight sparkle on the Au Sable River. Breakfasts were delicious and fun. This is now our go to place to stay in Grayling.

Delightful accommodations and hosts!

We had the pleasure of staying at Borscher‘s canoe and livery in June. The float down the Au Sable river was absolutely beautiful. The kayaks we used were in great shape, and the staff are wonderful, friendly, knowledgeable &  took excellent care of us.  It’s evident in the photos displayed, Borcher’s take great pride in their  staff. I can’t say enough about our experience at Borchers bed and breakfast. The pictures online and in the brochures don’t show how incredibly pretty, comfortable and CLEAN the living area and bedrooms are. We appreciated the clean, en suite bathrooms. The breakfast was absolutely delicious! The owners, Justin and Abby are gracious, wonderful hosts. They made us feel like family. We hope to make the trip to Borcher’s again.

We loved Borcher’s & the float down the beautiful Au Sable River

One night stay at this classic and well kept B&B on the banks of the Au Sable River was a true delight. I arrived late, yet the host Abigail was there to greet me upon arrival. I was given an upgrade to the AuSable room with a view within a stones  throw away from the River. The room was perfectly decorated with a River theme and historic memorabilia from Borchers past yet there were all the modern conveniences including an upgraded air conditioner and clean and modern in-room bathroom and comfortable bed. The deck off of the second story room afforded the quiet sounds of the gurgling River below. Breakfast the next morning was hardy and healthy with an egg casserole, sausage, fresh fruit, juice and bottomless coffee. It’s clear that the new owners Justin & Abigail love what they are doing and have an eye for the little details that make a stay special. The grounds of the house and canoe livery are meticulously kept. If you have not been to Borchers recently or ever, you are in for a treat. There’s a new best family owned canoe/kayak/B&B on the banks of the Au Sable in Grayling!

Delightful Night on the Au Sable River

Borchers is under new ownership and we're happy to report that it's just as nice as ever. Justin and Abigail (the new owners) are super friendly, enthusiastic and helpful. 
We were here three nights and didn't want to leave when our time was up.
Our room was perfectly clean. Breakfast was delicious, they even made us Borchers Pie! 
Our family has stayed at Borchers around 15 times in the past. We hope to stay many, many more times.

Still Our Favorite Place.

We had the best time at Borchers Bed and Breakfast, beautiful weather, relaxing, great kayaking, sat around the fire each night, and wonderfully delicious breakfast including the famous Borchers breakfast pie. I cannot thank Abigail and Justin enough, it was such a joyful time and relaxing stay! Cannot wait until our next visit!

Relaxing, great kayaking, comfortable beds, wonderful breakfast!

We had a wonderful visit! We spent two restful nights sandwiched around a day on the river. We will come back for sure and will not wait 50 years to return.
My brother, the early riser appreciated the availability of a cozy common space.

Lovely visit

Borcher's B&B is adjacent to their canoe/kayak livery.  The B&B is extremely clean, the rooms are very large and there are 2 balconies overlooking the AuSable River.  The staff are amazing, very polite, quick to assist, and just overall great people.

Very clean & wonderful owners & employees

Spent a great night in the off-season. Room and view was beautiful. We were the only guests, so we had run of the whole place. Breakfast was wonderful. We cannot wait to return in warmer weather and for longer to really get the whole experience.
