Five out of five star rating!
We loved our stay at the River Terrace Green River hotel! Our room was very spacious and nicely decorated. The cooked to order breakfast was absolutely delicious and the staff was friendly. This will be our only option when returning to Green River!

A very nice surprise 

What an exceptional place! Our room overlooked the Green River which was just across a grassy lawn from us. As we sat on our balcony, we saw some guests wade in the river while others swam in the pool or soaked in the hot tub. The rooms were well appointed with comfy beds, a couch, sinks both in the bathroom and in the room, a coffee maker with at least 12 kurig cups available.  Breakfast was made to order egg dishes, French toast or pancakes. This was the best motel we have stayed in in 12 nights of cross country travel.  It didn't seem to show up in the search engines that favor chain hotels, but it was much better.

A jewel in the desert 

Very comfortable, clean, pleasant hotel.   Good size rooms.
Pool and hot tub area looked nice (didn't use).   Nice outside area with view of river.
Restaurant next door was both good and convenient.
Not much to do in Green River -- would

Pleasant Hotel

When we checked in we were told that our room was on the bottom floor with a river view - great!  However, there is NO elevator in this hotel.  Both my husband and I are in our mid-70's and unable to carry luggage down a set of stairs.  The young lady at the desk told us that was the only way to get to our room and offered no help.  We decided to check the room before taking our luggage out of the car.  Once downstairs I noticed a doorway leading outside at the end of the hallway.  Upon checking it out I found that it led outside where there was a driveway leading from the front of the hotel directly to this door.  Needless to say, this is how we got our luggage out of the car and the next day, back into the car.  Why didn't the young lady at the desk tell us this????  Unbelievable!!  
The next morning while at breakfast in the hotel a woman asked the gentleman who was seating people if she could take the carafe of ice water up to her room.  His reaction was shocking!  He said no and immediately grabbed it out of her hand.  While this was a pleasant hotel their personnel needs some lessons in hospitality.

Disappointing

Surprisingly beautiful  setting!  Right on the banks of the Green River.  Made-to-order breakfast is included in your stay, where you can sit on a lovely patio overlooking the Green River enjoying ypur breakfast.  Room was comfortable and very clean

If I could rate it higher I would

We have stayed at the River Terrace Inn several times on our road trips and it is truly a hidden gem.  Allison at the front desk couldn't have been nicer.  The decor in the rooms is dated, but the rooms are huge, twice the size of most hotel rooms.  There are plenty of towels, the bathroom is large and there is an additional sink outside the bathroom.  There is a restaurant right next door, which is convenient.  In the morning there is a made to order breakfast as opposed to the bland, mediocre breakfast buffet that 99% of hotels offer now.  We have been there in the summer and winter.  Both times we had a balcony or patio right outside our room facing the river.  It is great in the summer, there are firepits and plenty of seating along the river bank.

Hidden Gem

The person who greeted us was very welcoming and knowledgeable about local stores and restaurants.  The room was clean and no odors of any kind.  Beds were comfortable and had lots of pillows to choose from.  Wonderful hot breakfast in the morning.  Would definitely stay again if in the area.  Recommend asking for a room with a view of the river - so nice.

Awesome Place to Stay

The good: clean, tidy, spacious room. Pool and hot pool were AWESOME. Huge hot tube and perfect temperature.  Staff and breakfast were good, too. 

Less than good: The decor throughout screams 20th century nursing home.  Furniture was clean and in good condition, just very “old school”.  

It was easy to look past the style after soaking in the hot tub and the riverside sunset patio was awesome to watch the sun fall.

The Inn that time forgot

This hotel is absolutely spotless, which is a relief when you've been traveling across the country and need a nice place to rest. It isn't super modern in decoration, but it isn't old and stale either. That ads to the comfortable charm of it, I think. We got good sleep and only wish we had woken up for breakfast because I only heard good things about it. We would absolutely stay here again. Thank you for providing a great property!

SO clean!!

Super clean room. Reasonable price. A large, well-lit parking lot. A very good cooked-to-order breakfast. Friendly staff at the front desk and in the dining room. It all adds to a great overnight stay, excellent value and a well deserved recommendation. Thank you!
