To begin, I reserved this room by mistake. I will not realize that there were 2 Super 8's within about the same distance from the Hershey attractions. The one I thought I was getting was on Hockersville Road.. not this one! Ther other one does not claim to offer "free breakfast", so watch closely! The desk attendant here was kind and friendly but we had to wait for him to get there because he was also managing the motel 6 next door. The exterior of the building and the front doors were caked with construction dust from whatever they were building beside. The lobby area had places where the carpet was coming up, which would be hazardous to someone who can't walk well. The elevator made a loud noise when we used it (only 2 floors but we had a lot of luggage to take up with a buggy, which they surprisingly did have). The room was quite a bit smaller than anticipated and though it looked clean at first, we found old remnants of food left on the bed from someone previous. The bathroom was mostly clean and the appliances (hair dryer) worked ok, but when using the shower, it made a terrible loud squeal so my husband finished with the faucet and I took a quick bath. There were water spots in the ceiling like water damage and the room had a weird smell. It was about 80° when we got in there, so at least the air conditioner worked and it cooled down pretty good after a while. We had to keep it set at 60° though to keep it cool enough. It felt more like 68 or 70 then. Our bed was so uncomfortable that my husband and I both tossed and turned all night because of having sore backs. When we got up and went out to see what our "free breakfast" was, we saw only a container/dispenser of orange juice, and dispenser of coffee. No food. There was a basket on the check out counter with single bags of Keebler club crackers in it. That was it. Thank goodness there was a Dunkin nearby. They should not be able to advertise offering "free breakfast" if there isn't any! I just wanted my family to get something to eat before going out for the day. The check-out process was as easy as leaving your room key cards in a box. Overall, I was very dissatisfied with this hotel/room. I reserved it a month before our trip on booking.com and paid more than twice what the other patrons were paying (it was being discussed by a patron the the desk clerk as I was checking out). I'm not happy!

Don't stay here...and check closely for which Super 8 you're getting!

Room was clean but had a heavy cologne scent, AC and heat  was good, and water pressure was strong. Family diner across the street was great!
Unfortunately the beds were unsupportive and lumpy, not comfortable for sleep at all.

Good stay except for the beds

The hotel was dirty, in need of a major remodel. Hot and muggy inside. Room was dirty with hair in the sink and all over the toilet along with pee. All the linen was stained. & no one was ever at the front desk. They had a sign that said call 0 for help or walk over to the motel next door. I paid over $100 for this room to take my family to Hershey. && it was awful and should not have paid that! 

Not good!

Wasn’t able to have a good night sleep because the room was too hot ... since the air condition would automatically turn-off when temperature reached 74 degrees.  The AC system “wrongly” showed 65 degrees ... even though in reality the temperature was 74; and I know this because I brought a thermostat. I’ve a photo.  I’m posting a Yelp review very soon if I don’t receive an adequate response.

Too hot to sleep

Toilet made horrible sound when flushing.  Levers on toilet was broke and hair dryer didn’t work. Looks great from outside but inside needs taken care of.  Not impressed with the lack of care for the minor issues that needed fixed.

Breakfast was coffee, juice and a mini loaf. Should not be listed as an amenity. Can stay at Motel 6 next door for much cheaper. Still be crappy breakfast as it’s owned by same people but at least you saved some money 

Continental breakfast a joke

Got to the hotel early and asked if they could hold my bag. The lobby was locked and the gentleman first refused to allow me into the lobby and finally,grudgingly said I could leave my bag but I must leave the lobby.  I felt unsafe, unwelcome and that I was imposing on them. After sitting outside at the picnic bench I decided that staying in a dirty unwelcoming hotel with nothing around it was against my best interest and I left even though I had paid to stay there.  Horrible experience

I would never stay here

Only stay if you are desperate.!! This hotel was very, very dirty.  It is in need of repair and updates.  The carpeting and furniture throughout was old, worn and dirty. I don't believe rooms are vacuumed or dusted. Bed covers were old and stained, along with the carpeting.  Our room had part of the ceiling missing in the bathroom.

When I arrived the building was completely empty, with barely any cars and no front desk workers. There was a piece of paper with dial 0 on the front desk and the lady from the motel 6 came across the street to check me in. She seemed super tired and told us all she put out for breakfast was muffins and juice, even though it said free breakfast was included. Usually a hot meal. I brought my stuff to my room which was on the first floor and while I was eating my dinner that I grabbed from the sheetz across the street, it sounded like someone was attempting to enter my room. I walked over and locked the door and saw no one in the peep hole. I thought this was strange. If it was a guest I’d seen them enter their own room or hear another door shut. I brushed it off. About 5 minutes later a woman came and knocked on my door saying Front Desk. It was not the same front desk woman. She seemed impatient almost, looking around. I decided not to open the door and she walked away. But not towards the front desk. Towards the back exit of the hotel. I then decided to go outside in the parking lot to smoke about 20 minutes later. I sat on the curb about 10 feet from my car when I noticed a man standing across me on top of the hill. He was watching my every move. Then another one. He started speed walking down the hill towards me. I ran to my car so fast and locked the doors. They were still watching me. I could tell they were texting each other. They both got in spreads cars one at the top of the hill and the other the bottom. This was one of the scariest experiences and the staff tried gaslighting me into thinking it was just a worker named mike or Mitch. Until one slipped up and mentioned he doesn’t drive so it couldn’t have been him watching me. I believe they are all operating a sketch business. As I was leaving the hotel I passed a sign that also stated “human trafficking happens here”. Do not go here. I also found several hairs on the bed and the blankets were stained up. It was very unsanitary. -100/10

DONT STAY HERE.

Very dissatisfied with service (no service at morning checkout). Breakfast options were horrible (small muffins were there for breakfast only). Hotel is promoting breakfast with no breakfast options. I will not use Super 8 next time.
