We didn't stay after seeing the sliding window wouldn't lock and someone could easily get in. The bathroom was dirty. Please don't bring your family here. Very ran down. It would be OK for working men needing a cheap place to stay. We didn't see any women.  A scary pkace.

Not safe,dirty

This motel was filthy dirty. I wish I could post a picture of what the tub looked like. we didn't even take a shower because the tub was so filthy.  The wallpaper was peeling off the walls, the pillows were really bad, however the bed wasn't too bad.

In a few words this place is a Dump.  They don’t do anything to make it nicer. Anything over $59 is a ripoff. I don’t know of any other place to recommend but look for one. It is a short walk to town but probably the longest walk compared to the other lodging we saw.

After a day shopping in Hermann, my friend and I spent the night at the Hermann Motel.  I've stayed in a lot of motels that were older and well maintained.  This is NOT one of those motels.  The room was very small and the  furniture was very old.  The worst part was the bathroom.  It had a tiny tub with a shower and a sink with three light bulbs above it (one of the light bulbs was not working).  Worst of all there was no electric outlet in the bathroom.  In order to dry my hair I had to stand outside the bathroom door and try to use the mirror inside the bathroom...ridiculous.  Also this motel is not in the best part of Hermann.  The couple in the room next door appeared to be living in the motel :( .  The motel was $65.00...spend a bit more money and stay in a better place.

ok place to stay, great prices. could use some updates but hey just needed a place to sleep. we would stay here again. close to walk to most locations and easy to get in and out of. Close to gas station as well.

weekend getaway

We went October 2019 for a ladies weekend for a friends birthday. Had 3 adjoining rooms for 12 people. Loved that. That we could move fluidly between the rooms. The rooms were very spacious too, with a table and chairs in each.
I completely expected an outdated motel without any bells or whistles. I would say my expectations were met. Very simple, we just needed warm beds and running water.
A few suggestions to the owners. 
Maybe fix the ice machine or put some ice in that freezer next to the ice machine that is not in operation. If I wanted ice late at night I didn’t want to have to come bother you. 
One room had a mini-fridge which was really nice, but shouldn’t they all?
Upon our arrival 3 light bulbs were out. 2 of them were pretty important as one was the I my light in the bathroom. The owner handed me a box of bulbs and sent me on my way. I am capable, so I did it, however, I had to stand on a chair and also on the side of the tub to change then and from a liability standpoint, something to consider (checking all lights before guests arrive). Last but not least it was a rainy weekend and the black, metal steps have no gripping on them at all. My fiend fell down then on her butt because they were slippery. Might consider adding gripping carpet to the stairs. Otherwise it was what it was. Nothing fancy, but did the job! 

Knew what to expect, a few suggestions...

The thing I'm going to remember about this place is the air conditioner. Quite possibly the loudest thing I've ever heard. We had to turn it off so we could sleep, then the room got to hot. A miserable night of sleep. But the room was clean and the shower was fine, so it had the basics.

Don't expect much

I needed accommodation for one night on a weekend and stayed at the Hermann Motel.  Many other places required a two night minimum stay, but that was not a problem at this motel.

The accommodations and price were both very reasonable.  The room was very clean, bug free, and everything within the room was completely functional.  The manager took personal interest in guest satisfaction and was very helpful.  Good location within reasonable walking distance to a variety of local attractions.

Very Reasonable

Gave my honey a choice for her birthday trip - one night in a B&B or two nights In a motel - we were both pleasantly surprises!

Friendly staff (the owner, even), great location just up the hill - easy walking distance from downtown! The rooms are a little tired, but the sheets were clean and the water plenty hot -  what could be better for the price-

Great alternative to pricey B&Bs!

My friend booked this hotel bases on price & location for a couples trip. I read the reviews and really expected bad things, but decided it would be ok because we just needed a place to sleep and shower. It was better than I expected. The room was very clean. It was pretty small and the beds were small for full size beds. While my husband and I are 5’3” & 5’8” it wasn’t a big deal to us but my friends are 6’4” & 6’6” so their feet hung off the bed. We all agreed that beds and pillows were comfortable and clean. TV and refrigerator worked fine. The bathroom was very clean but the shower/tub was interesting. Again, not a problem for my husband and I but the shower head came to my friend & her husband’s chest and her husband bumped his head a few times. There were a 2 very small bugs in the bathroom & 2 by the door but we believe they came from outside bc we didn’t find a trace anywhere else in the room and we looked for them. Overall, it was a nice stay and I would stay again if it were a weekend trip. Probably wouldn’t if it was longer than a weekend with more than 2 people because it was just too small.
