We found this to be one of the better bargains in the area. The rooms were clean and nice, and the personnel were friendly and efficient. We like the location away from the busy highway and easy access to downtown.

Good prices for nice rooms

Considering the other hotels in the area, this is a good value for your money; however, it could definitely improve. Our bathroom was had some kind of white stuff dripping on the wall behind the door, the sink backsplash was pulling away from the wall, and the corners were dirty.  Bedroom was good. Beds were comfortable.

DO NOT GO HERE. We made reservations on Travelocity. Because we used the name "Bill" instead of "William" as the first name on the booking, we were told that the room wasn't ours. My husbands name is William, but he goes by Bill. Even though it was prepaid. And the address matched, the last name matched, the phone number matched, the credit card used matched, but they refused to allow us to stay. And DID NOT OFFER A REFUND. AND they still refuse to refund us at all! We didn't even stay there!!! He would not allow us to stay there! We stayed elsewhere because we had no choice. This place is a complete joke. 

Do not stay here!!! 

The room itself wasn't bad, I was surprised at how much they had for breakfast.
Woman at front desk ran my card as a debit resulting in a $100 deposit, even though I told her it can be used as a credit card. Only stayed here because it was the only hotel we could afford on a Saturday night.

Only as a last resort.

Splurged on a suite for my birthday. Walked in the room and it smelled bad and the toilet didn't flush. I asked for maintenance but there isn't one so they moved me next door. Second room also stunk and bathroom had hair in two places and nothing felt clean. Interior is worn with paint slopped on door. Breakfast was good but I would not recommend this place.

Pass on this place 

The hotel is an older building than appears in the photos.
It is showing its age. It is well-worn and shabby.
(Even the TV was old....small-screen and lousy resolution).
It was reasonably clean, but it must be hard to get much cleaner without a full-on refurbishment?
I found it depressing & will not stay there again.
Too bad....because I have stayed at a number of Microtels and found them to be modern & bright.
This one might be an outlier?
There are better choices in Holland, MI than this one.



Poor value. There are better options in this town.

We stayed at the Microtel for two nights while we were in the area visiting Holland and Grand Haven.  We found the hotel to be very nice for the cost.  Check in was easy and the front desk staff were friendly.  The room was very clean, but was on the smaller side.    The bed was extremely comfortable.  TV and air conditioner worked great.  I like the room cool, and it certainly got cool!!  The breakfast area was clean, and the food was well stocked.  Plenty of options for bread and there was an egg station and breakfast sandwiches that could be heated up in the microwave.   Cereal and bananas were also available.  We had no complaints and would stay again!

Nice stay!

Costly for what you get. Air conditioner barely kept up even though it was not too hot out. Bathroom and shower were OK but could be cleaner. Breakfast is hot, but basic. the rest of this review is just extra to hit the character minimum.

Great Stay... Every time

Pros - the bed was comfortable, room was cleaned every day, front desk staff were friendly enough. 
Cons - overall, this hotel could use some updating or at the very least a fresh coat of paint. I’m not a big fan of the wall of mirrors behind the bed - adds to the creepy vibe of the room. The room smelled weird, like they shampooed the carpet with dirty water.  

I was here on business for a week. Overall, the hotel meets basic needs and the rate is fair for the quality. I won’t stay here again just because of the smell and the creepy feeling, but some people might not be bothered by that.
