We ended up driving to Anson because all the name brand hotels in Abilene were booked. Morning Star was had availability so we kept driving. Friendly customer service upon arrival. They don’t have the AAA discount, but when asked they gave us a discount on the room. The room was freshly painted in bright cheerful colors and tile floor. Immaculately clean rooms and property. Very quiet despite being close to the road. Great value for the price of the room. We will definitely stay again the next time we are up this way.

We are pilot cars. We are delivering blades to Winery, Tx.  We were unable to obtain a room in the area of the wind farm.  We drove 44 miles to  Anson.  Our room was newly painted and clean.  The bed was comfortable.  I have bad allergies and had no problems.  Will stay again.

Pleasant stay

free breakfast. great small-town restaurant right next door open early and closes 9 pm.  frig, microwave, no in-room coffeepot, but milk and fruit basket in office. staff is great. hotel has construction worker clientele who visit on their sidewalk in the evening and leave early in the morning so if you want less noise ask to stay on the other side of the building (rooms themselves are well insulated)

Room was ok.  They provided bagels, cereal and coffee for breakfast but you can't take it back to your room.  There are only 2 seats in the area where the food is so you are limited whether you eat there or not.  Since you can't take the food back to your room you either stand and eat or go somewhere else if there are 2 other people in the food area.

It was a decent hotel for a small town.  There are not many options in the area.

I'm here on work and the WiFi sucks and the room service is rude they took my towles and did not bring me any replacement towles and then was rude about that as well the company I work for has been renting most of there rooms now for a month and in my opinion I think we should get a little more respect

Only judging the other by the outside, Morningstar is the cleaner, less cramped, and closer to a laundromat and DQ. Room was clean, wifi fast, and decent basic breakfast. There's some nice cowboy history to hotel too. However, the owners seem a bit standoff-ish, don't speak English well, and have a strict pay-penalty policy. When we came back to our room after turnover, some towels were not replenished. Though the son gave us more towels to reach the quota, I can't help but think that whomever turned our room may have been looking to hit us with some extra penalty fees. We just left, so we'll eventually find out I guess.
