The hotel was fine, but I accidentally left a pair of shoes there and when I called the next day, I was told they would be mailed to me. I said that I could go back to get them even though I was 1.5 hours away because they were my favorite shoes and very expensive, but was told it was no problem to mail them. I asked how much it would cost so I could pay for shipping and was told the hotel would pay. The shoes were not at my house when I got home a few days later. I have called many times since and have been told the shoes are not there and the manager never seems to be at work, even when I call when she’s scheduled to be there, and she won’t return my calls!

Stolen property!

Good value for money, but there were some issues that kept it from being great. The room was tired, with damage to walls. The bathroom had the bare minimum of toiletries, and there was no in-room coffee. The breakfast consisted of powdered scrambled eggs, steamer-tray sausage, and an assortment of bread, dry cereals, yogurts and the smallest coffee cups imaginable. Some stains on the carpets and walls in the hallways, and the ceiling above the ice maker on the floor we were on had a gaping hole. The staff was VERY attentive, friendly and personable.

Decent budget-friendly hotel in the Little Apple

No one was there when we arrived at 11pm. We were tired from driving. Prepaid for the room so, we couldn't just leave. Check in person ran through the front door after about 20 minutes. The beds were memory foam so, someone has probably slept in my bed a thousand times. I felt like I was falling in a hole. My daughter had the opposite experience and said she felt like she was sleeping on a brick.  The room smelled metallic. The sheets and towels were itchy and scratchy. The sheets popped off the bed when I sat down. The breakfast was very basic and the floor in the eating area was very sticky. I'm not sure how this place has a good rating.

Not a good stay

We had room 206 which has a bathroom with a walk-in shower and grab bars for the shower and toilet. The room has 2 comfortable queen beds, a refrigerator with a small freezer compartment, a microwave, a coffeemaker, and 2 chairs. There were no hangers in the room but the desk clerk, Tyler, gave us some. Although there were 4 lamps, the lighting seemed dim. The motel has a large elevator. The small breakfast area has the usual pre-made scrambled eggs and sausage, cereal, yogurt, etc. The waffle-maker didn't work but the desk clerk, Savanah, put in a new spout. The motel has ample parking and is close to the college campus. We would return if we were in the area.

Good price for a comfortable room

Parkwood Suites and Inn is comfortable, clean, has kind and helpful staff, and offers hot and cold breakfast items. The hotel is conveniently located near City Park and downtown. The AC was quiet and efficient and the memory foam mattress toppers were a plus. Highly recommend.

great stay

Room was clean and spacious.  Didn't smell like a pet friendly hotel.  Great price.  Near the interstate, but in a quiet residential neighborhood.  Beautiful park across the street.  I would definitely recommend and stay here again.  Good Thai restaurant across the parking lot.  Free breakfast was extensive and dining area was clean.

Best pet friendly place I've ever stayed at!

We had friends visiting from out of town. We live in a small house w/ cats; friend is allergic to cats, so we chose to put them up in a hotel, chose the Parkwood, and could not be more pleased! Friends were VERY happy with the cleanliness, quiet, and kindness of the staff. I visited them at the hotel, and was nicely surprised by the lovely breakfast area-- including the cute patio with the view of the park. In the future, all our guests will be staying here, and we recommend you do so as well!

Friends in Town

The Parkwood is where I usually stay in Manhattan. It's clean and well-kept, the staff is very friendly, and it's nicely equipped for a budget hotel. The fitness room is minimal (a few dumbbells and an exercise bike, plus a broken treadmill). There is no pool. In-room amenities are good. Air conditioning works well and soundproofing is acceptable. I thought the bed was comfy.

Location's great-- easy access to main roads, the airport, Kansas State campus, and restaurants etc. In good weather, downtown is easily walking distance. There's also a pretty good Thai place immediately next door.

My one complaint: their wifi is terrible and T-Mobile cell service in the immediate area of the hotel is very poor. I had to go to the public library ( a few blocks away) to work. Small inconvenience, but worth mentioning if you need to work from the room.

Clean, comfy, great value, friendly staff, poor connectivity

This place is actually very nice and for 60 bucks you cant go wrong. Very clean and comfortable. Might be my new place to stay when Im in town. Easy access to downtown and main roads and modern. The only issue I had was the pillows were all flat and hard. I didnt ask for new ones so thats on me. But all in all vety nice hotel for the price.

Great Value! 

Room was comfortable. Spacious room and great kind size bed. Breakfast was small and lack of cheese or any other normal meal goddies selection due COVID-19, which is fine. Staff is incredible, thank you Gaby for accommodate me last minute.
