We have stayed here annually for over 5 years on the way home from our family vacation, renting 3 rooms on each occasion. This year we learned that the university that staffs this conference center has a Title XI exemption that allows them to discriminate and expel students for being gay.  So, our stay last week will be our last. The hotel has generally been nice, except that I would agree with other recent reviewers about the noisy A/C systems. We also noticed that the restaurant seems to have closed, as we ate breakfast on temporary tables in the main lobby. However, the Title XI issue is the reason we’ll be moving down the road for our future stays in this area.

Cumberland University discriminated against LGBQT.

I could hardly tell that we stayed at the same hotel. Staff not welcoming much less friendly. Room was exceptionally noisy (despite asking for a quiet room). AC cycled almost continually despite changing temp. and Frig had strange random sounds as well. finally unplugged that. Could hear flushing in adjacent rooms. The pillows on the bed were the densest foam I've encounter in any hotel. I selected this hotel on the basis of other reviews and didn't see any relationship between those reviews and the actual building.

Baffled by the other enthusiastic reviews

My husband and I recently spent a night at the Cumberland Inn and we were very satisfied with our stay. We had our dog with us and enjoyed walking him around the campus in the evening. The room was extremely clean and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was friendly and gracious at all times. The breakfast buffet was better than average and had fresh biscuits, scrambled eggs, sausage and other items to choose from. We were impressed with the quietness of the room as well, especially since it is conveniently located close to I-75. Overall a very good value!

Soon hotel will only have 17 rooms.  Rumor among staff is they are all loosing their jobs in May 2019 and everything was uncertain about who will still be working there afterwards,  The GREAT museum is now gone, moved all the items in museum to The Ark in North KY.  The hot tub is closed and the separate building where pool currently is will turn into housing for college and pool will possibly close too.  Looks hopeful that the meeting rooms will still be for sale under new management. 

Big changes!

Stayed at the Inn on my way to Tennessee.  Very convenient off of I-75, clean rooms, friendly staff.  Breakfast had the usual, waffle, yogurt, etc but also had biscuits and gravy and scrambled eggs.  Room was clean, only complaint would be the shower had a very low ceiling.  I'm 6'0 and I had to bend down to wash my hair in the shower.

Convenienty and Clean

There is a nice hotel, with a beautiful hall, marble, piano, luxury... but the reception is lacking in warmth, personality, proper rooms, but good. There is a restaurant in the hotel with a nice sporty decor, but even a noticeable average in service, average in quality.
