front counter staff was very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Indian Restaurant very good, as well. I stayed one night during the week (July 2023) so there were some utility workers staying there too, which can be a little noisy, but they did not stay up late. Rooms were clean except for a lot of flies in the area and get in the room easily. Price and accommodation were good and would stay again; don't think the pool was open though.

Hotel review

My husband booked into this hotel. The bed sheets were brown and discoloured with holes in them, the room had a bad smell and the air-conditioning was very noisy. Manager was uncontactable to speak to. He left and found another hotel. Do not stay at this place, its a health hazard!!!

Awful place

The first room, the A/C had a loud squeal and very little cool air. We were given another room. Although the A/C worked it also had an extremely squeal. It was so loud we got up and left. We went to another motel that was cheaper, cleaner and had great A/C. Find another motel and save yourself some grief.

What a dump

To best sum up this motel, it appears someone had high hopes to breathe new life into this place, but ran out of money. 
Furniture/fixtures stacked all over, flowerbeds are filled with weeds. Decent appearing carpet is covered with dead millers and flies. Newer looking lamps are stained beyond help with fly spots.  Fancy faucets installed incorrectly and no cold water available. 
However, the bedding/mattress was clean and comfortable.

In need of maintenance

Picked this because I needed a night in La Junta and wanted a budget accommodation.  Outside looked dated, but room was clean and seemed to be newly remodeled- great bed, newer tables and chairs and bathroom features.  However, room was small.  Had a little window view of railroad - but, heck, this was budget.  Heard some cows at night and got a slight whiff of the the local feedlot - but not bad.  Covid-era breakfast was not to be found when I arrived in office at 7a - though looked like some pre-packaged rolls were coming.  Might stay again if budget was a consideration.  Give it an okay rating.

Great Rooms but....

We checked in around 9:30 and knew it would not be good when the first thing we saw in the room was a fly swatter. After killing 34 flies in the first hour, I went to the front desk and was told, “yes, we have a fly problem” and could not guarantee any other room would be better.  

Room was dirty. Lamp bases had not been dusted for a long time.  Carpets poorly maintained. Lots of smashed flies on walls and ceiling.

Fly invasion.  Do not stay here.

This recently renovated property already shows signs of poor maintenance.  Flower beds are overrun with thistles.  The fancy fixture at the sink does not offer running water; the hot water oozes, and cold water dribbles.  There are non-working light fixtures, broken and dented lamp shades, and unshaded lights.  One curtain pull was standing in a corner.  Flimsy, wiggly, 2-bit toilet seat.  The deadbolt on the door would not seat, and the door would drift to full open if left ajar (so you don't have to worry about remembering your key when stepping out briefly).  Courteous staff and very luxurious bedding.

Poorly Maintained

Visiting the area for the first time and I had planned out my trip prior to check out some places while I’d be there. Saw a few different options for places to stay, I did see this one but when I picked it out it had a different name “ La Junta Inn” and with looking at the pictures I went with this one. We arrived after 4pm, staff was pretty welcoming and personable. Fast and smooth check In. Our room was on the second floor, we went in and we found it clean of course , spacious with its fridge, microwave, coffee station etc as described in their description. They do not have a breakfast option , but that wasn’t a worry for us. Honestly no complaints on our end, I would recommend anyone to stay here I found it very convenient as I had to go out to Las Animas throughout the day it wasn’t very far away. There were a few places near by to eat! And as well I found it pretty affordable. We definitely will be returning. 

La Junta Inn new hotel?

My husband and brother in law stayed here for months because of their job. And for a month they kept charging the wrong card. Meaning if it was supposed to charge my husbands. They charged my brother in laws. They finally moved from that hotel last week and this week we have a 300! Hold charge on our bank account from them. 
When I went to visit them in Colorado. We rented a separate room and it was dirty and the ac didn’t work. They did put us in another room and we still had issues with it. We got one night free.

Do not stay here

Pros? Clean with comfortable beds.
Cons? no glasses, no cups, no coffee maker (no coffee in lobby either), no microwave, no fridge, no kleenex.
Disappointing place to stay.

I booked through an aggregater that promised breakfast, charging me extra for it. There was no breakfast.
