This was the dirtiest hotel we’ve ever been in and couldn’t stay at all. I didn’t even want to lay on the bed. The front desk person couldn’t promise a credit because we did NOT stay. She said that the owner would have to take care of the credit; took my phone number but he never called.
DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!

This place is terrible !!  The coffee pot in the lobby hasn't been washed in who knows how long.  Our king suite hasn't been cleaned for quite some time.  The other couple couldn't hardly get water out of their shower.  No handicap rooms.  Very very very bad.

My wife has a skin condition and we found BED BUGS so she went to her doctor to see what she could do for the bites, the doctor gave uer some cream to help.
We went to the manager and told him. They gave us another room and told us they didnt find anyrhing the next day and made us feel like its our fault. we were starting our plan for another place to stay.
I emailed the health department and told them everything. I got a call the next day and the lady was coming out ( Tuesday the 10th ) to inspect the hotel.
Friday the manager confronted me i. The parking lot and said we had to get out. We have overstayed our welcome and went back inside.
I followed a few minutes behind him after calling my wife to tell her.
When i got into the lobby I asked if we could stay till Wednesday we didn't have the money till then to go somewhere else.
He replied " No you can stay with family or friends, you cant stay here. You had time to call the health dept. You have time to find somewhere else to go"
I replied "its not our fault for the bed bugs, we didn't bring them and you didn't want to believe us"
I just walked out because he had the look in his eye he was going to come across the counter at me.
If they cleaned the hotel and kept up with it and upgrading the rooms and such it would be better but they are just doing the least amount to get by.
I was told that one more call about anything to the health department,they will be shut down. In my opinion it would be a good thing. This place is bad mold, bed bugs and rude management. Also they didn't clean our room I had to bring our vacuum and swiffer mop to do my best to clean.
The first room had blood stains on the box spring and bleach stains in thw carpet in the same area.
I could go on but this is long enough. You get the idea I hope

Avoid this MOTEL

The Chateau Royale Inn has received mixed reviews. I had reserved a standard room however when I check in, John surprised me with an upgrade to a 'Condo Suite'. The suite had a full kitchenette, living room area and a large bedroom. It appeared to have been renovated and was attractively decorated. The suite was clean unlike some of the other rooms reviewed. The CR Inn is showing it's age. It is possible, given the overall condition of the Inn, that the owners are putting resources into rehabbing rooms before the entire Inn. Certain aspects of the room needed upgrading, such as the bedding and mattress, TVs and shower head. Weak point was the servicing of the room which was extremely minimal and lacking. Given my experience with the Chateau Royale Inn, I would give it a qualified recommendation, especially if one is seeking a value hotel in the expensive Lake Geneva, WI resort area.

A Value Inn

Serviceable motel in an expensive resort town.  Rooms are bare bones but didn't spend much time there as we were out on the lake.

No amenities or ice machine that I could see.

There was a woman with a moped who was apparently sleeping in her van in the parking lot.  We could hear her snoring when we left for the boat early Saturday morning.  Maybe she couldn't afford to stay in the motel like some of the others who were parked there.  Tacky.

Not Bad...Weird people in parking lot

Though it was affordable, I wouldn't stay there again. Just too many negatives, seedy clientele, few TV channels, poor security, outdated, smells, no iron/ironing board, no hair dryer or coffee, etc. We booked a king room and got a queen bed.

A Very Tacky Place

This place is so dirty that we wouldn’t let our 3 year old off the bed. When morning came, we left as quickly as possible despite only getting 4 hours of sleep. We left so quickly that we left things behind, which we never do, but it was that gross. Crusty carpet, dirty walls, no ice.

Hotel is dirty, rundown and creepy!!!  Heated pool----no ice cold, dirty---so dirty infact that I ended up in the ER with and infection.  You do get free bugs in your room too.  I don't know how this place can even still be open.  You are much better off sleeping in your car--but not in there parking lot, since in the parking lot there are several vans full of creepy people living there.  Unsafe, all round GROSS!!!!!
