Out of all my travels this resort is #1 for me. Love my stay.  I knew I was somewhere special when upon arriving the landscaped ‘Islands of Palms’ resembled a red carpet welcome. More magical at night with spotlights outlining the many palm trees. So many amenities for everyone to enjoy. Immaculate. I had a problem hooking up my electric on a Sunday early evening, office closed. I was rescued within in minutes when Kathy, manager came to my rescue. Rain & winds did not stop her. She is a treasure to this resort. Friendly folks & staff. Highly recommend this resort.

Little displaced because of ETA storm.  Many thanks to the staff for helping us in every way.  We’ll definitely stay again.  Very clean, easy access to site and very close to town (Frostproof). And a short drive into Avon Park for bigger shopping etc.

We had come to stay for a month and ended up staying for 3 because of COVID-19. We feel so lucky to have been there when the virus hit. We felt totally safe as everyone was using masks and socially distancing. We loved this resort- so many activities and amenities. The resort is beautiful and immaculate; the full-time people were very welcoming. Combination of full-timers, snow birds and shorter-stay RVers. It truly is a hidden gem. The closest towns are Avon Park and Lake Wales - both about 15 minutes away and have choices for grocery stores. Frostproof itself is very small with one grocery. The resort had two Sandhill cranes who had just had babies when we arrived. So much fun to watch them grow up and fly during our stay. A highlight for us. Manager is exceptionally responsive and lives onsite.

Excellent in every way!

Stayed a few weeks for work.  The office staff were the most unfriendly uncourteous people I’ve ever seen.  I travel a lot for work but will never stay in this place again.  The place was totally rundown and the pictures on this site must have been taken 20 years ago at least because nothing resembled the pictures.  The cottage was filthy and I’m not sure the sheets had even been changed.  Had there been anywhere else I could have stayed after seeing the cottage I would have been out of there.

Pictures are a joke

Rainbow RV Resort is a hidden gem. Lots to do, lots of friendly people. Sites are 40x80, so you have plenty of space. Most sites have a shed you can customize to suit your needs if you get into a two year agreement. There are also park models, single and double wides. Great pool, laundry, woodshop, pickleball courts, shuffleboard, bocce, horseshoes. Dances, entertainment, games galore, you won't be bored. Want out of the high traffic areas? Rainbow is the place.

Great place to be a Snowbird

We stayed at Rainbow for 10 days in 2018 and were thrilled to come back for 4 months in Oct 2019-to Feb 2020. Very nice people, very nice place. I wish there were more than 4 pickleball courts. I feel sorry for a manager that works 24/7. When workers quit, get hurt or park equipment fails, the manager does it all. There should be an assistant manager that can step in to relieve the manager occasionally. The park also needs security. There were issues that occurred and it would be better to call a security person rather than the manager. The manager should also have a dedicated cell phone for park business. Would we come back...absolutely.

Winter vacation

My husband and I came to Rainbow RV Resort this winter for the first time and we are just over the top happy with this place. From the moment you drive in, you can see just how beautiful it is. The entrance is definitely a WOW factor. The whole park is lovely. There are so many things to do; the list seems endless at times and you can join into as many as you want or not. I personally love the Shuffling I do each morning and my husband loves to play Pickle ball. The entertainment that they bring in here has been nothing but fantastic. The dances are always pack and everyone has so much fun. 
Everyone who comes to visit us is impressed. We have friends who just bought a place in here and will be coming in April and then all next winter. They too said this park gives them everything they are looking for in a winter resort. 
If you are just coming for a short time or a long time, I really recommend this resort. BTW..when I say resort, I mean a resort. This is not your typical camp ground. It is a 55 plus resort. Hope to see you soon. :)

Our Winter Paradise.

My wife and I visited Rainbow during January and February 2020. The property is well maintained. Sites are large and clean. The clubhouse is vibrant with activities. The pool area and hot tubs are immaculate. In all of my dealings with the very busy front office, the staff members have always been very polite and helpful.

Excellent Resort

My husband and I were not pleased with the resort that we registered for and was traveling the area to see options of 55+ Resorts in the area. We drove into Rainbow RV resort and the park was having an ice cream social. We fell in love with the park and the residents  The management is awesome and keeps the residents up-to-date on all new notices and upcoming events.  The activities and amenities are great.  If you are bored here it is your fault. The location is close to Florida attractions and cruise terminals.

Wonderful 55+ RV Resort

My wife and I live here year round. The park is well maintained with very nice amenities and large lots. We love the Frostproof area because of it’s remoteness and safety. Even though it is very small town there are plenty of attractions in commuting distance such as Orlando, Tampa, Clearwater, Vero Beach. We moved here after 3.5 years at another park in the area. The staff here is super and does it’s best to accommodate their customers.
