As the other reviews stated, it was a clean, front desk was very friendly. Close to Caverns.  as far as places to eat, not much. They have a unit air conditioner was very loud at night.   We stayed 2 nights which was good.

Good Price, was close to Caverns

We had a room with a balcony which had a pleasant view over the countryside. It’s an easy walk into town where there are a few restaurants and a brewpub. Our room was pretty good, but in need of a deep clean. They provide coffee in the morning, but, sadly, no breakfast.

Good setting.

We booked this motel because of the high reviews on cleanliness. It was the total opposite!! I had brought disinfectant wipes with me and cleaned the toilet that had urine on it and toilet paper stuck to it. Then cleaned the sticky nasty sink. The microwave still had food splatters in it and fridge still had dust on top of it. The coffee pot was so disgusting and looked like it had never been cleaned ever. The carpet was filthy and had French fries and cereal  all over it. We found someone’s toothbrush between the nightstand and bed. EVERY single corner of the room had cobwebs and dead bugs. We killed 3 bugs while there. The pillows were terrible as was the mattress. Sooooo disappointed in our stay there. Health department should be called.

No no no no no …run away

Stopped here after visiting Luray caverns as part of a road trip. It’s dated but charming, clean and cozy. Actually looks precisely as pictured! We had a room on the first floor, facing out the back and away from the street and it couldn’t have been quieter. Beautiful view as well, and  available parking directly outside the room made it really easy to pack and unpack. Pool looked nice but we didn’t have a chance to use it. Only a few minutes drive to the caverns and some other local restaurants and attractions. We’d definitely stay here again!

Quiet and charming!

Old and dated but clean. Star was friendly, but DO NOT stay here if you have allergies to mold. There was mold on the bathroom ceiling, back of the bathroom door, and what could have been mold in the A/C. I suspect this is a persistent issue as there was a container of damp rid in the room.

Mold

Dated. Carpet and shade stains. Depressing. Disappointed when arrived. Could not open or close door without major effort. Rooms look like the outside in need of care. Bedspreads old.Bath updated. Fridge and microwave. Front desk friendly and helpful. Across from caverns and easy to downtown. Pay what you get.

Oudated

Room was available early. Reasonably clean, no  issues there. WiFi was best outside of the room. Older roadside motel primarily for tourists visiting Luray Caverns. Lights outside the rooms stay on all night, shades inside didn’t block the lights. Staff were very pleasant. Good location, close to caverns and downtown.

Luray wedding visit

Upon entering our room, it smelled damp and musty, like a basement. Both my daughter and her son had breathing issues while in the room. Almost certain there was a mold issue we couldn’t see. Then we noticed the dampness bucket sitting on the closet shelf. Charming. There were multiple spider webs and spiders in the room. I asked housekeeping for a long handled duster. They said they knock ‘em down, but they just come right back. I took down webs all across the tops of curtains and in corners. Also behind headboards and under bathroom sink area. It was a bit unsettling to have spiders next to my head! After knocking them down myself, they didn’t return, upon our checkout. Found out why there were so many spiders getting in. The frame around the air conditioner just rests in place. If you bump it, it falls off. Hello, 2” wide gap to the outside! A piece of foam would help! There was dust on tops of picture frames that rolled off in chunks. Housekeeping can do better! Beds sit on plywood that sticks out farther than the bed. It bites your shins and hurts toddlers. Pool looked nice but didn’t use. Bathroom was clean. However, we won’t be back, and do not recommend to anyone!

Lots of issues

This motel was chosen by our son by looking at the pictures we were extremely disappointed in the cleanliness of the outside appearance and the room itself. We don't mind an older motel however simple updates such as power washing would go a long way. I plan on revisiting the area since our son is new to the area however that is our first and final stay at this motel. We only continue to stay for the duration of our trip because it was on a holiday weekend and everyone was booked. Extremely overpriced for the product that we were given would not recommend this motel.

Very much what you expect of a motel but fairly on the expensive side 100+usd
