This is a definite bad place. I drove In at night almost hit rocks in driveway no lighting. I only stayed at night but the last night they put workers in the room next to me they were laughing and talking and walking around in Front of my room I called the owner he said he could not find them but I could still hear them. So paper thin walls

Not a good choice

Very misleading...they do NOT accept pets....NOT pet friendly!! Take this off of your advertisement!  No place here folks to stay if you're traveling with your 4-legged companions! Very upsetting as their advertising clearly stats 'pet friendly '

Misleading NOT Pet Friendly

Well, I'll start with the ok - reasonable price for the area (rural Louisiana). 

As I walked into the small bedroom hotel, I was greeted by several other guest scampering across the floor - roaches. The bed covers/comforters was covered with stains. Thank God I didn't have a black light with me. The towels had a dingy yellowish color (I guess they were white at some point and time). 

The bed was comfortable. However, I couldn't sleep worrying about the free range bugs in the room and thinking whether there was anything else in the bed. So really no sleep. 

They advertise a breakfast with the room. As you arrive, the sign and posting say "continental breakfast." In reality, they have a pot of coffee and some old package blueberry muffins. It looked as though they had a container of orange juice which turned to be orange drink (more Ike a koolaid). 

There is a microwave and small referigerator in the room. 

Let's just say I was counting the hours until a departed the place (only stayed one night).

Great Disappointment

After traveling ten hours I had to deal with this situation . Motel is dirty . Room doesn't smell clean . They write your credit card info down in a notebook  while people are calling to book which is not safe . The room we were in had dead bugs in it , stains on the comforter and blanket under comforter , dusty dusty dusty , the gentleman at the desk was very rude when asked to Change sheets and blankets . They said they could move us to a smoking room which is not what we requested  . The smoking rooms smell very bad couldn't make it in the door when it opened . The man said that we do not have to stay here and can leave since they were not open to cleaning the room . They Ended up charging us for a night even though we didn't stay because my girlfriend use soap to wash hands and the sheets were pulled back due to us checking to see if they were clean . Spent less than ten minutes in the room five of which were with the guy from the front desk. He rather argue with the customer than clean the room because housecleaning was off . I would not recommend this to someone who normally stays in hotels  . Not many options in Many but men wouldn't probably have a problem like women. My allergies immediately flaired  up after being in the room for a short time . Only good thing I did not see any bed bugs from checking the bed. An when I even brought that up to the husband who was working the front desk he became irate . Due to me even checking for them.

This was a great Motel. Understand though that it is a Motel and not a fancy Hotel. If you are in town to fish Toledo bend this is the place to stay unless you require something fancy and over priced. The bed was comfortable, the AC worked, It was clean. The staff was friendly.No, there is no hotel bar, like I said this is an old school motel that looks like something you would find on the old Route 66 days. But there is an  awesome Mexican food place in the parking lot. I highly recommend this place.

This is what a Motel should be

Rooms have two towels; I had three guests, had to argue with the staff to get more towels.  Not to mention you will need two towels if you plan to wash your hair because they are small.  This was our third stay here with the same towel issue.    My husband wasn't happy about having the argument a third time.  The rooms are small but comfortable.  This is definitely an old school motel.  Don't expect breakfast unless you enjoy cereal or a muffin.

The man on duty was very nice when we arrived late in the evening.  The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable and since we have spine issues, we were impressed with how comfortable the bed was.  The room was quite, well furnished.  The bathroom only had a small shower, which was fine for us but may be a problem with small children (no tub).  We did not eat nor see the breakfast area because we were gone by 5:30 a.m. but we did eat at the El Patio II Mexican Restaurant on the evening we arrived.  It is located in front of the motel, literally.  It was very good food.  If in the area again, we will stay here.
