Where to begin...this hotel should be demolished and rebuilt. I cannot believe that Wyndham is associated with this brand. Believe me, you get what you pay for. Every employee that we came across was top notch but the beds, stained towels, paper thin towels, old tv's, decor...it all needs to go. Had to stay here as this hotel was the only one with availability during the eclipse of 2024, and we booked a year in advance! Again, every employee we came across was fantastic. At least give them a hotel they could be proud of! Definitely would not stay again. 

Stay Elsewhere!! 

We were only given one room key.  The room was crowded and smelled of mildew, the fridge defrosted during the night and left the floor and everything in the fridge wet.   We slept well and the bathroom was clean. Breakfast did not look appetizing as the gravy was like thin soup, we did not eat there.

Will not stay here again

We recently stayed at the Super 8 in Marion, Illinois on our way home from Florida.  This motel is conveniently located right off of Interstate 57 and is next door to a McDonald's and 2 doors from a gas station. It was clean and quiet and very convenient.  We'll look to stay here again when traveling to or from Florida.

Super 8 provides sound sleep

Beds are decent. Hotel is definitely a 2 star.  Toilet leaks out the bottom when flushed.  Towels are dingy.   Hotel hallway ceilings and broken tiles.   We will definitely spend $20 more and upgrade our hotel choice next time. There are better choices at this location for a hotel.

Get what you pay for

Just an ok place for a night.  Close to restaurants and the interstate.
Room was adequate, bed was not very comfy.  For the price, not too bad.
I was told they could give me a room with no steps to climb. However,  there were steps down to the room , and back up again. Only 7, so not too bad.



Ok for one night

My brother and I have stayed here numerous times over the past six months.  We are both from St. Louis and have been in Marion to pack and move our father. The night manager is the best. She remembered us after our first stay and went out of her way to make sure we had a good room that was close to the front desk. [We both have bad knees]. The rooms are always very clean, and the beds are comfortable.  The price is a bargain compared to the other hotels in the area. We won't stay anywhere else when visiting Marion.

Great Stay

Room had an extremely strong odor which spelled like marijuana.  The towel rack pulled right out of the wall in the bathroom and the faucet was not attached to the counter so about came off every time that you used it.  The chair in the room had holes in it and stains that I wouldn’t even want to begin to explain.  Definitely would not stay here again!

Horrible Stay

Well this place was under construction and we were out in a basement level. Half of the hallway was closed and had plastic on the floor. Our
room stunk so badly and was covered in dust. When the water was cut on my front desk it was brown. The bed was sunken in the middle. The front desk person did come and vacuum the carpet to get some of the drywall dust up. 
The positive is the folks who worked there were nice and friendly. I am sure they get fussed at so much, I am surprised they can find anyone to work there.

Renovation Mess!

I recently stayed at the Super 8 in Marion, IL. I drove from Austin, TX to this location and had been on the road for over 12 hours and did not arrive until 12:30am. Upon my arrival, I was informed by staff that my room was not ready yet because it was being cleaned due to construction. I was told to wait in my car. I am a single, female driving alone and did not feel safe to wait in my car. I moved to the lobby where I then preceded to wait over an hour to get into my room. I did not get into my room until almost two in the morning!! And when I did get into my room, the entire floor leading to my room was full of trash and building supplies and was a hazard. My room wasn't even locked and when I entered, there was dry-wall dust all over the floor and pieces of plaster and debris.

This was by far the worst hotel experience I have had in my life and it is completely unacceptable that I had to wait around two hours to get into my room after driving all day. I was exhausted and needed sleep to continue my trip to Michigan the following day. Due to this experience, I was not able to get adequate sleep and was at risk for driving safely the next day. Never try to stay at this hotel!!!

Never Come Here!

When we arrived our king room was not ready. They gave us two queen beds. The first night loud music outside our room at 300 am. The staff went out and they finally quit. Next night people outside our window drinking beer and talking loud. The bed was uncomfortable and towels felt like sandpaper. Leaking water from the ceiling in the hallway.  We will never stay there again.
