Wonderful find. Cozy farm inn, with nice staff. Complimentary wine, soda, snacks  a nice touch. Great breakfast. Glass of wine on patio overlooking Antietam battlefield and beyond at sunset… nothing better!

Wonderful respite!

Fabulous Inn. The room, service, view , all fabulous.  We only had one night stay and we do wish we had more. The fall day was beautiful. Location perfect for sightseeing.   Beer tasting at the Bothers Bavarian distillery, Shepherdstown. Dinner at the Press Room , spectacular. All in all a wonderful overnight. Highly recommended

Cozy Inn for a Fall day.

We had a marvelous overnight at Antietam Overlook Farm.  From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed by Truman (pooch) and Rich, one of the innkeepers.  The enormous, rolling property is well off the road with a private security gate.  “Overlook" is an appropriate name with stunning valley views, wild deer, turkey and hummingbirds.  Our room on the 1st floor had a king size bed and was large, quiet and comfortable.  It also had a small screened porch; great for evening cocktails or coffee in the a.m. Mark (owner) is extremely personable and passionate about providing guests with an enjoyable experience.  The Inn has a hot tub, so bring your suit!  The large, warm fire-placed common area offers draught beer and a stocked bar along with coffee, tea, sodas, and popcorn.  Tina and Carol created and served up a delicious breakfast of baked pear, scrambled eggs, kielbasa sausage and fluffy, light pancakes. It fueled us up until late afternoon!  This country inn was cozy and super clean.  We wished we had another night there because it was such a wonderful, serene spot and many great trails to hike.  The Inn is a 10 minute drive to Antietam Battlefield which we visited the day of our departure.  Hospitality was top-notch! We will certainly return to Antietam Overlook Farm next time we’re in the area. 

Gorgeous Property with Stunning Views and Warm Hospitality

During our recent trip through some of our Civil War Battlefields, we had the opportunity to stay at Antietam Overlook farm for a night. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the location is great with an outstanding view and the property is lovely. We sat on our deck for a while late afternoon, watching hummingbirds hover just beyond our reach as well as seeing the deer as dusk fell. Breakfast was very good, an overall great experience.

Excellent stay overlooking Antietam Battlefield

The Antietam Overlook Farm is a lovely retreat and I would highly recommend.  We were just there for one night, but the room was spacious, clean and beautifully decorated.  We went into Shepherdstown for an excellent dinner at the Press Room.  We were greeted by the host and given a tour and instructions.  The view was incredible and we enjoyed a glass of wine on the patio enjoying the view west.  Lovely also as it was removed from any traffic or other noise and was very peaceful.   It would be great for family reunions and couples.  The breakfast was delicious, the host and other staff very friendly and we would return.  

Great stay at Antietam Overlook Farm

Antietam overlook farm is by far the best bed and breakfast and romantic getaway I have ever stayed at. The staff cannot be more accommodating. The views from the property are breathtaking. The breakfast that is served is scrumptious.

This was the best B&B we have ever stayed at. Friendly people, beautifully maintained establishment and gorgeous views. We love the woods and the quiet so being able to sit out on our own porch and listen to the sounds of nature was our dream come true. 

Will definitely stay here again 😊

First, I am very particular when it comes to B&B's.  Because of that I usually shy away from them.  I booked this trip as a surprise for my husbands 60th birthday.  He's a history buff and figured this was an amazing spot to bring him.  Upon arrival we were greeted by Tina, and as friendly and welcoming as she was, I knew I had made the right choice staying here.  Between her and Mark, and everyone else there, by the time we left we felt like we were old friends.  We stayed in the Generals quarters - the room was beautiful and spotless.  The next morning we started breakfast with a baked pear that was out of this world, followed by eggs, bacon, and banana pancakes.  The second morning we had eggs, sausage and pierogies.  Everything was delicious and they do accompany if there is a food allergy or dietary restriction.  They have 2 birds and a french bulldog named Truman, which was always happy to see us haha.  We loved this place so much that we bought a gift certificate for my son's upcoming wedding as part of their gift...THAT'S how much we loved it here!  We can't wait to come back, and highly recommend this place if you're considering it.

A new place to fall in love with

We were gifted a couple nights at the Antietam Overlook Farm and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was a treat, with a gracious welcome, fun treats and thoughtful touches around the place, and a very comfortable bedroom. Huge plus that the rooms seemed soundproof and there was always a peaceful, laid-back vibe. They also met our need for special accommodations with stride. And we really enjoyed exploring the nearby towns of Harper's Ferry and Shepherdstown.

Wonderful stay!

Quiet, private, gated farm. Nice location for all attractions, yet out the the way on a beautiful ridge top. Good food. Quiet walks and wildlife scenery. Good security and safe surroundings. Country, two course breakfast.
