We chose to stay at The White House as a final night of a family trip to get out of hotels. This was THE BEST experience. Kathie, the owner, is amazing!!!!  So personable and welcoming. The best in a Bed and Breakfast host -- very low maintenance, completely engaging when you want to be, but extremely relaxed and out of the way at the other times.  

The property is stellar. With rocking chairs on the beautiful porch in the front and a chicken running around in the back,

Super fun and delicious choices for breakfast. A large and comfortable room.  So picturesque.

But really what makes a place stand out is the owner.  And Kathie is the best. Would 150% stay here again. You should too!

Impeccable experience, owner and property.  

On a road trip to Monterey, CA from Seattle, WA, we broke up first long travel day with an overnight stay in Medford. The White House looked great, the reviews here were amazing, but what sealed the deal were the chickens!

Our family of three were the only guests for our single night, so we got the entire upper floor--my wife and I stayed in the large main room, and our daughter had the smaller bedroom. The accommodations were perfect in every way--clean, roomy, cozy, and nicely-decorated. We were worried about the heat (it was 90 F when were in Medford), but the rooms had in-room air conditioning and we were very comfortable.

Kathie was a gracious and accommodating host and our breakfast on the day of our departure was delicious. My wife and daughter ate the miniature Dutch baby pancakes and I had a simple country breakfast of bacon, eggs, potatoes, and toast. We all loved the food and this foodie family had nothing to complain about.

We were sad to only spend one night in this great accommodation, but we know with certain where we'll stay on future road trips that pass through Medford.

Sad We Were Only Staying for One Night

My husband and I desperately needed a get away and so while he was having his truck bed replaced with a flat bed we decided to turn his errand trip into a little vacation. After researching I decided we would stay here and I am so glad I did. Kathie was incredible, as were the breakfasts. The house was built in 1903 and although old it is charming and we loved the fact we  were the only guests. Kathie made us feel like family and even took us to places and picked us up as we had no transportation. My husband, who is not a big B&B fan truly enjoyed it there and said he would stay again (huge). The bed was incredibly comfortable as was our entire stay.

The wonderful White House

We took our granddaughters on a road trip and this was their first B & B experience. they absolutely loved it!! Kathie was wonderful and the girls had so much fun gathering eggs  in the morning from the chickens. Breakfast was very yummy! One granddaughter said it was "the best french toast she's ever had!" We would high recommend the White House B&B. Thank you Kathie for a fantastic time!!

Amazing, Amazing, Amazing!!! Loved it!

What an exceptionally beautiful place! Kathie is a gracious, generous host - nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was completely delicious (and better than we could probably get if we ate out) - cooked from scratch every morning. Kathie even helped hold our baby so we could eat in peace. She has a gift for hospitality and multi-tasking! Also, we found out that Kathie has coffee delivered to her regularly from a local roastery - no wonder it was so good! It is these behind-the-scenes touches that really make the stay perfect. 

We were 2 families with young kids and the kids noise-making didn't trouble her. We leave with beautiful memories from Medford OR! White House Bed & Breakfast truly is a home away from home and we recommend it without hesitation.

An exceptional stay!

We spent one night with Kathy on our way to crater lake national park.  Her house is beautiful, and she was a great host.  We especially loved the chickens!  Kathy was very cordial and we enjoyed visiting with her.

The room we had was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean - the bathroom was equally stunning and clean

Kathy was a wonderful hostess who made us very welome and even offered to pick up a take away for us a we arrived later than we thought and were unsure of food delivery options

The breakfast was cooked fresh with fresh eggs and a lot of effort had gone into the table presentation with fresh flowers and fruit - very much appreciated

Wonderful nights stay

We had an amazing stay at the White House. Kathy is a flawless host and her house is gorgeous. Full of tons of history. The property and neighborhood are beautiful, you cant beat that tree lined street! We were in town for my granddaughters baby shower that was held right down the street. Kathy even gave us rides back and forth!

Beautiful house, host and property

We stayed two nights here when we were in town for a concert. Our host was helpful and  welcoming. The thing that drew us to this b&b was the fact that we'd be the only people staying here during our stay. Because of that, it was very quiet and relaxing, and we both slept very well. Breakfast is made to order and it was delicious. The location is also very convenient to downtown. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Quiet and restful stay

We loved our stay here!  The location was quiet and convenient, the rooms quaint and comfy, and the breakfast one of the best we had on our trip to OR. EXCELLENT, gourmet and fresh... the eggs straight from hens in the backyard. Kathie the hostess was the best of the best!  Not only did she come up with creative, delicious ways to deal with our gluten/dairy intolerance, but I seriously could have stayed all day chatting and laughing with her... she was super fun and easy. Overall: five stars.
