This is a no frills place with actual keys and no fancy bells and whistles. But it was less than other places and accepted dogs. $20 fee. Room seemed clean and beds were ok. Bathroom was small with no hooks or towel bars so nowhere to hang anything. Outside door was a pain to use key in and hold open at same time but better locked than not. Parking in front is tight so used back lot. No breakfast or coffee. Fine choice for a night. 2 senior ladies and dog.

We were on our way to UP and needed a place to stay on our way there.  Called that morning and everyone in the area was booked.  Luckily the Budget Inn had two rooms available, a queen and two twins.  We got the Queen.  The owner (I believe he was the owner) was very nice on the phone and in person.  I was not expecting much when I pulled into the parking lot but what I did get was a very clean room at a get price.  It is notable that the price I was quoted over the phone included taxes which I was not expecting.  The rooms are small but as mentioned, very clean.  Everything down to the bath/shower was excellent.  Even the caulking was clean - experience has taught me that this is an overlooked area for most hotels.  The bed was comfy and the room was nice but small as mentioned.  It is obvious that the owners take pride in their motel.

Great Overnight Stay

It is a very well kept up rooms are very clean family owned they live right there very polite washer and dryer in house soda machine this is our second time staying there we had stayed at marinette inn also and definitely never ever stay at marinette inn again very quiet and peaceful

Wife and  I have stayed here several times because of Mich. being shut down- Rooms are very clean with Covid procedures in place. Nice flat screen TV'S and very very comfortable beds, only negative is the shampoo packets that are impossible to open in the shower and they should have shower caddies  so you have someplace to put your hockey puck soap and wash clothes. Rates are very reasonable for Marinette and it very convenient  for restaurants across the street. Owners are accommodating,  Furniture is nice and rooms are cozy.

Better than you'd suspect

This is our second year staying here - Marinette is a good place for us to break up our long drive. You don’t stay a second time if it wasn’t good the first time! The service is friendly- the fact that it is family owned is apparent in how much they care for their place and their guests. Family lives on site! The rooms have been updated and you totally get your money’s worth! Comfortable beds, AC, updated bathrooms, TV, microwave etc.  Easy walk to a number of restaurants and I my a bit over a mile walk to Main Street if you want to stretch or just explore. Had Mexican food at Cabanas, then walked downtown to have a beer at the Elks Club, a walk back to the Budget Inn and we were ready to call it a day. 
The owner, remembered us from our one night last year. That’s the kind of place we will always return to. 

Overnight stop

Needed a last minute stay over labor day weekend and everything in the area was running high due to the holiday and events. I was able to book a room at the Budget Inn Marinette at a reasonable although still a little high price considering the property.

The staff was very nice, professional and accommodating. The room was much better than I honestly expected for such a property, it was clean and the bed and pillows were comfortable, no real noise to speak of from the adjoining rooms although they were occupied. The keys are old school real keys, there are deadbolts. I did not turn on the TV but the room did have a fridge and microwave. 

Property wise, its older, although its listed as a motel, you get to your room from an inside hallway which would classify it as a hotel. There is no pool or entertainment on site but you are only 10 minutes away from the beach and a very scenic area. 

I would stay here again if needed.

Better than expected

We would definitely stay here again. This is a comfortable, clean, affordable, welcoming and hospitable motel. After a long day of driving, this was just perfect for the two of us. And the Mexican restaurant two blocks down, was a bonus. We would recommend the Budget Inn to others.

Great place to stop for a night on our summer road trip

Needed a room for our last night of UP trip, Budget worked out great . Clean room, nice shower, affordable, friendly, 2 downtown areas to explore. Happy our stay. A little breakfast is all we missed 😉

UP trip

I would recommend this hotel to anyone that’s in the area. The improvements since I last stayed here over a year ago are awesome. I really love how great they did the bathroom. It’s really home looking in the room. The carpets are cleaned and the beds are comfortable. If you need somewhere to stay, go there. And the owners are wonderful. They are really nice and helpful.

Great and affordable place to stay

It is nice to see the improvements done since I last stayed. They have the usual coffee pot, fridge, microwave. Staff was very nice. Right across from 3 Brothers so you can just walk over for dinner and drinks. Definitely would stay again.
