Skip this one.  I stayed on the first floor and heard every footstep above me as well as sounds from the rooms beside me.  The bed felt like I was sleeping on cardboard and no blanket option other than the coverlet.  Rooms do have tv, fridge and microwave.

Spartan Inn

Not the best place I’ve ever stayed in, but the location is perfect.  What should be fixed:  the refrigerator freezes everything and there is no way to turn it down.; the toilet is good for little children; there are no bars in the bathtub so that when you take a shower there is nothing to hang on to. The paint in the room is drab, a kind of chartreuse & the rug is a dirty brown; finally, the TV is fixed so you have no access to your ROKU and the movies offered are very limited.  
What is good in a room for two:Two tables and two chairs that are comfortable; the managers are very nice and the Inn is near a very nice neighborhood.
I would love to buy this place and update it!!

This was not the cleanest motel I've come across. First of all it was very dated. Bright pink and yellow bathroom, sponge painted walls and crunchy carpeting. The toilet badly stained and very short. The bed was semi comfortable. If you put all of this out of your head, you could have a nice rest. We got there late at night and gal at the counter was very welcoming. Would I recommend this to a friend? Only if they were desperate for a room.

Not the cleanest

I am music director at a large church in Rochester. We have used the Spartan in the past for visiting musicians on weekends etc. with no problem. This weekend one of our guests left a pair of shoes in the room after checkout and when he realized it, went back to pick them up approximately 1.5 hours later. When asked, the person at the desk acknowledged the shoes were left in the room and reported they had been discarded and could not be returned. NOT GOOD !!!! You have lost our business and have no chance of getting it back!!!! You have our phone numbers and those of our guests; a simple call letting us know something was left in the room would have been a nice courtesy!!

Good Location in safe area, Andy the manager was nice, reasonable price, old outdated motel (outdoor and indoor,) the stairs that lead to the 2nd level are all rusted and make noise every time someone go up,  rooms are not very clean, spiders webs in the windows, towels are the cheapest you can get.

I got greatly disappointed as I enter the room. The room atmosphere was depressing, TV was not working and was very old , Bed cover looking very old, furniture are very old, table lamp shed was broken, Could not sleep because of the A/C wall unit has huge noises, not only the A/C in my room but next door room also. Bathroom sink was not clean.The desk service was sleepy and not pleasant.

Highly disappointed, will not use it again and will not recommended to anyone.

A weekend getaway with my girlfriend had such a wonderful time with her we went to a Rochester Festival the festival was really good had a really good time in the city of Rochester went to a few restaurants had a wonderful time
