We stayed here recently for GCU Deep Roots festival. Hotel space was tight so we ended up booking at this property. First time we've stayed here and the reviews were mixed. To begin, this property hasn't seen an update to anything since the 90s. All rooms are exterior entrances across multiple buildings. All I cared about was a clean room after reading all the reviews so my expectations were low. Suffice to say the Days Inn didn't even meet them. We got into the room and while it seemed clean there were signs that it needed a deep clean. The furniture was dated with serious wear and tear. Everything in this room was 30 years old. The oval toilet had an oblong seat on it. The entrance and adjacent room doors seemed flimsy and not secure at all. We found some hair near the night stand which was the last straw so we packed up and left. Bottom line is if you don't care about anything but a bed then maybe and I say maybe, this might be OK for you. Otherwise, look for much better options in Millyville. 

Look Elsewhere

We have now stayed at this hotel twice.[ 2021 and 2023 ] Rooms are clean. Staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is filling [ waffles, cereal, toast and coffee] Looks dated from outside and pool is closed but for a one night stop it is perfectly located on our route and plenty of restaurants and stores close by too.  The staff is stable as it was the same people this year as in 2021. I find that refreshing.

Nice Stay in Milledgeville ,Ga.

If you’re looking for an overnight stay, this place is definitely doable but if you plan on staying longer, hopefully you’ll get better treatment than my husband and I did. The Indian woman that works at the front is very kind at first but once she feels you’ve over stayed, her demeanor completely changes. The only other issue we had was the housekeeping service. The cleaning service OPENED my door while I was changing!!!! The housekeepers have beats (headphones) on their heads while they work and couldn’t care less! Overall, Heritage Inn is right down the street and 10x better service/option!!!!

DISAPPOINTING CUSTOMER SERVICE

I have traveled thousands of times in my life and I can say this is the cleanest and friendliest hotel I have ever stayed at. The staff was warm and inviting. The room was very clean. The bathroom appeared to have been regularly steam cleaned and the overall feel was one of comfort and safety.

Building exterior top trim needs at least new paint but pretty clean rooms. Didn’t access Wi-Fi but it is provided. Pool is closed at least for the season. Drive way and parking lot need to be redone a lot of breaks cracks and pot holes some that can ruin your car if driven over.

Decent.

I stay at a lot of Days Inn, some good, some not so good. This place was clean, staff was friendly, rooms were clean and bed comfy. Will definitely stay here again. I travel about 42 weeks paper year.

Don't mix up the rooms of people without animals, as the room had unbuttoned dog hair on the carpet and underwear, as well as bed bugs, and in the lobby no masks, and no early check-out system.

This is definitely an old property, I can remember in high school staying here on school trips to Milledgeville. That was 25 years ago. It shows it's age, and is definitely in need of a refresh visually. However, despite its age it has been well maintained. The rooms are clean if a bit sparse, and the staff is very courteous. It's a cheap, clean option in town as long as you don't expect much more.

Some of the staff still needs professional training ini the areas of conducting business and reservations; start replacing the older, used furniture in rooms; there are apparent improvements going on externally and hopefully internally,

Because of a hurricane evacuation, we found a need to cancel two days of our reserved stay. The written policy was cancellations need to be done 24 hours prior to the day of the booking by a deadline of 4 p.m. Both times, while complying with their policy, they claimed to have never received the cancellation call. The first time this occurred, I had directly called the front desk  two days before arrival. The employee verified it was cancelled, but upon check in, I was notified the charge was still on my account.  The second cancellation problem happened after I called the online booking site (that I had used) to cancel the last day. After being put on hold, I was informed that it was taken care of and they had called the front desk to authorize. I even called the front desk a few minutes later to confirm, and was told -- "Yes, they had received the call and it was cancelled".  Upon check out-- here we go again- the charge was still on my account with the claim they never received a call. Overall, I found some of the staff to be unresponsive, unprofessional, shifty, and have a bad attitude. 

After arriving home, I noticed, several days later, that the credit had not appeared on my charge account, so I contested it. In the end, it worked out in my favor, but this was not accomplished without some headaches and additional stress. Stress which was in addition to worries we were going through with the storm. Not welcome. 

The pool is perpetually "closed".  I would advice people to keep looking for another place to stay. 

Other than the counter problems, the room was relatively clean. The property, in general, was very much in decline. We did not try their free breakfast.
