The light when you walked in was crackling a sounded like it was shorting out and flashing, furniture more then just a little stained, didn’t dare set anything on shelf above sink in bathroom as it was pulling out of wall, not sure what was up with bulb in weird little hallway that had coffee pot, it was a bulb with what appeared to have what must have been a shade attached at one time..bed looked clean but pulled aside sheet and disgusting stained mattress pad..needless to say I laid on top of bedding with all my clothes on, we gave up and left at 5AM.. pictures on site look clean, wasn’t expecting anything great..but this was awful.  Seriously wonder how it could pass safety/building inspection..if that’s a thing!,

Disgusting… just needed a simple place to spend the night while traveling.  Didn’t think it would be that bad for $109

We were upgraded to a bigger, better room because of a booking mistake on the hotel's part.  The person at the desk seemed a little reluctant about the upgrade, but did it.  The room had a very comfy bed and thick carpet.  Older but elegant furnishings, which I liked though  I know that not everyone would.

Worst hotel I ever stayed in. They did not have the room I was supposed to get and the room they gave me had dirty soiled sheets with someone’s pubic hair. May they were running a brothel. Trash was not empty and the floor did not know what a vacuum looked like. I will never stay there again.

Staying here could be hazardous to your health.

This place is a typical, very budget friendly, no frills motel. I booked a room there for a family wedding, that was scheduled during a weekend festival. When we arrived, we were told they had no record of our reservation, which I'd made in person by phone. 
I knew the entire town was booked solid because of the festival (and having heard from other family members who tried getting rooms too late).
I was absolutely livid - but what can you do when the place says, "sorry" we don't have any reservation from you and no rooms available.
No excuse! Worst customer service ever!

The carpet hasn’t been replaced since smoking was allowed because room has the overwhelming smell of 10-year old stale smoke saturated hell. My husband actually found it hard to breathe because of it. The carpet was once burgundy but, a lot of it looks black because it is so stained. They have cleaned behind beds or other furniture in what looks like years. There are holes in the walls & dirt was not vacuumed between guests even in the obvious open spaces. All this for $120. The wi-fi didn’t work. Last room available in town & I prepaid or I would have slept in my car after stepping foot in the door.

The absolute grossest, worst, smelliest & overpriced dump I’ve ever stayed in my life.

A group of us stayed at The Itascan during a weekend trip. I had room 21, which had 2 beds. The beds were essentially in 2 small rooms, with a wall between them, giving you some privacy. The bed was OK. However if I would have looked closer at the sheets the first night, I would have been in the office right away asking to have things fixed. The morning of checkout I looked closer at the the sheet and found what appeared to be blood stains in the sheet (see picture). Right away on the first night I checked my pillows. They gave us 3 on the bed. One was ruled our right away because it too was stained.
The bathroom is small. The shower is very small, with light water pressure. I should have looked closer at the shower curtain. The final morning I saw streaks of mildew. Who knows when the curtain was last cleaned or changed.
The air conditioner ran, but it didn't blow real cool air. There was also a fridge that kept things cool and a microwave. I don't know how that worked as it was not plugged in and I didn't try to use it.
The TV is a good sized flat screen. However I didn't watch it as I wasn't in the room much.
It looks as if the baseboard heater no longer works, so they have a portable heater in the room. It was disgusting looking and very dirty.
The Itascan needs a lot of updating and very thorough cleaning of the entire place.
If this is the only place that's left, you might want to visit Walmart or Target to pick up some Lysol and Clorox as you may need it to take care of what housekeeping doesn't.
I know I will not stay at the Itascan again. It's not worth the $131.00 nightly rate we were charged...maybe $65 but not $131.00.

If you have other choices, go elsewhere!

The gentleman that checked me in at the front desk was very courteous. He wanted my stay at The Itascan Motel to be a good one. He assured me they the room I was getting was clean. He explained the remote for the air conditioner. That came in handy! For one person, I ended up in a room that had three queen sized beds, room #17. Two were right there when you walked in, the other queen sized bed had a bedroom of its own. Room also had two sinks, a shower (no bathtub), a refrigerator, flatscreen TV, small microwave oven, and a coffee maker.

The decor of the room is a bit antiquated, but I didn’t have any problem with that at all. Actually, I found it amusing. When I stay at hotels/motels, I look for the “Three C’s.” 

As mentioned above, the gentleman that checked me in was “Courteous.” The room I stayed in, #17, was “Clean.” I easily fell asleep because the bed and pillows were so “Comfortable.” 

WiFi: After several attempts to connect, I gave up. Directions are taped to the inside of the room door.

Shower: The water got good and hot! Nice!

Air Conditioner: Works with remote. Seemed that the fan only had one speed, slow. I couldn’t get it up to medium or high. Still, even on low, it kept the room cool.

Smoking: One of the hotel guests was sitting outside of his room on a chair smoking. I was getting wafts of smoke as I brought things into the room.

Quiet: I slept so well, not only because the bed clean and comfortable, it was so quiet here during my stay.

Parking: I enjoy it greatly when I can park right outside my door! That’s always a plus!

Bottom Line: I’d stay here again! Thank you very much to owner/manager!


Courteous! Clean! Comfortable!

My wife and we’re in town for a wedding at the last minute we need a place to stay
We were told about this hotel that it was small and that the rooms were nice
  Well we took their advice  for it and the only thing that was told to us that came close to being true was “it was small” The room was in need of repair and the bathroom was so small that the shower you had a hard time turning around in it 
I paid to much for the room and there was a silver lining that the restaurant across the street was very good

Very old and cost more than it should

We were traveling through to visit family. It was late. We were in the big room that has three beds. My children were already in bed. By the time I laid down in bed I rolled to one side. When I lifted the mattress the box spring was broken. Hence the sinking. My bad I still slept. It was the only hotel room in the city left. My husband ended up sleeping in the floor.  The beds were clean. The bathroom was clean.  The carpet could use a good deep clean. It is dated and expensive for the quality. When the staff was informed of the bed being broken they said “when did you break it?”  Reminded them that it was broken already.  I asked to speak with the boss. It’s been over a week and still waiting to hear from them. Very disappointed!!  I would not recommend at all!  Also would not give a star if I could not. 

Awful!

Though the room was clean and the personal was friendly, everything is old and seems musty. The TV had a decent number of channels, but was not HD. The wifi was very week. I would not go back to this motel again.
