First, upon entering, no one is wearing Calif. State mandated mask.  Entered the room, carpet is visibly dirty. Enter the bathroom, there is a smell of mildew/mold and mold is visible in the shower head, and around the shower.  The shower fan is filthy and has a broken vent which is probably the only area air can pass.  The shower floor flexes… there is no support under the shower which would indicate a leak and/or rotten boards underneath. If you use a hairdryer, the lights in the bathroom rapidly flicker so I hope you’re not epileptic!!  A ceiling fan with no blades is the overhead light! 
Its 28 degrees outside and the heater may or may not work.
Also, found a half eaten cheese burger under the desk and there is visible trash under the beds.
If we were forced to prepay our 4 night stay we would have left the second we got there!
Clearly mismanaged.

Mold and more

My family and I were on a road trip vacation. Booked a night here while driving. A few hours later we arrive and waited almost an hour in the lobby waiting to be checked in. My daughter had motion sickness from driving and had an accident in the car. So we really just wanted to get her cleaned up. They had a number for service to call on the counter and a bell to ring. I tried both several, several times. After nearly an hour of waiting, we decided to leave even though we already paid when we booked it online. Went to the comfort inn down the road, that was very nice and professional. The next morning I went there and was greeted by a guy with John lennon glasses, he was very nice. He called the manager and informed them what happened. The manager told him she would refund me the money through my email address. Days later I called back because that never happened. I called choice. And the calls went on and on and on. Almost a month later I was unable to get it resolved. Choice rewards informed me there was no longer a manager working for that location. Just one VERY worthless owner. Choice gave me 18,000 in points at least.

No one to check me in. No refund

We stay at the hotel twice a year.  We arrived close to dusk.  There were individuals around the perimeter of the parking lot.  We were a little uncomfortable.  I went in to check in and nobody was at the front desk.  There was a lady there waiting also.  I called the hotel telephone twice and nobody answered.  After 10 minutes a young man in a red hoodie appeared to see if I needed anything.  After checking in we walked down the hall to our room.  There were multiple empty rooms with the door propped open.  Not comfortable.  In the room the coffee service had two nondescript packages of coffee and nothing else.  My wife enjoys a cup of tea but not tonight I guess.  There was a used bar of soap and a razor cover in the bathtub.  The wall covering was coming off the wall.  The breakfast consisted of a Danish and coffee.  Was uncomfortable with the parking situation so I went out to check the car.  No exterior lights other than canopy lights

DO NOT STAY HERE.  There are no amenities.   No breakfast, no tv, the rooms are disgusting, and yet they still charge full price.   I’m cheap, but I left to find another place, even though I was charged for the night.   It’s that bad.   Shady AF.

Stay away

Comfy pillows, but NOT clean. Stuff dripping down the fireplace and TV.  Scummy film on front of microwave. A broken fireplace. Hanging curtain rods. A huge chunk of havarti cheese left behind in the frig. Poorly made beds. Crumbs on the bathroom tray where the cups were. Empty Kleenex container. No liner for ice bucket and only cardboard inside. Ice bucket lid separating. No curb appeal. There appeared to be hookers walking the nearby truck stops. The motel itself looked scary with piles of garbage in neighboring lot with transients sorting through it (too close to where we had to park our truck/trailer). When asked if they had security, the day clerk said the night clerk monitors the screens at night. Checking out at 4:30am, the man who came from the back room looked like he had been sleeping, let alone monitoring the screens that the original clerk had pointed to up front behind the desk. The $220 for a Thursday night was a ridiculous price for this "motel". Although we used points to pay, I feel like we got ripped off using them. 

Filthy - Bad location - NEVER AGAIN

This place is not quality under any situation and Choice Hotels International should pull their license agreement with this Owned and operated Mount Shasta Hospitality, Inc location. AVOID STOPPING IN WEED IF POSSIBLE. There are ZERO options for suitable hotels. The lady at the desk is obviously a pro at apologizing because she must have said it a million times but offering ZERO money back. 
1.	The Front Desk lady was sitting outside next to the only entrance smoking upon approaching to check-in
2.    The room was not clean as represented at check-in.
A. This location is considered a smoke-free environment and yet the room smelled of smoke. I    
     had to purchase air freshener and open the window with the air conditioner blowing to clear out the room of the smell. Horrible!!!! 
     	B. The fan blades were full of years of dust
     	C. The carpet was stained and not vacuumed
     	D. The bed pillowcase had human hair on it
     	E. The support bar in the shower was loosened and coming off the shower wall
     	F. The air conditioning unit cover was broken
     	G. Questionable stains on the wall next to the bed (dark brown 
             - dried blood or feces). 
        H. There to two rolls of toilet paper opened (one was on the 
             holder and 3/4's used and the other on the counter 1/2 
             used.
        I.  The towels were crusty and off white due to obvious years of 
            use and improper cleaning
     3. Was not told upon check-in the Continental breakfast would not be served due to Covid19, despite the fact that most other hotels are managing to provide the included breakfast. 
     4. Was asked if I wanted to purchase drugs by people sitting outside the location in the open space between the hotel and the truck stop market.
     5. The room was located on the second floor with a very large bay window that opened fully without   
         a screen or other device to prevent anyone from jumping or falling out (parents with kids be 
         warned)
    6. There is no elevator for the physically impaired

Simply disgusting and not worth the cost.

Ghetto Dump and Shameful

We made a reservation online and were shocked to see this place when we arrived.  No housekeeping, no breakfast as “couldn’t get supplies delivered” was the excuse. Lighted EXIT signs were missing and broken.  No lock on our door, it had been removed. Trash and weeds around grounds and staff not interested in customer care.  The whole place was unkept and dirty.
The air conditioner worked and the bed was comfortable, that’s what kept us there

Beware

The woman in the front desk was really rude. I have teenage daughters with me. There were beer can everywhere. My daughters didn’t feel safe and I ask for a refund and the women said “It is my choice to give you a refund” . It was 1am in the morning and I had a long car ride.

Horrible Host

Facilities were terrible. To start with, Poorly staffed. The room was not cleaned. Used bandage on floor and other trash. Half a roll of toilet paper on bathroom counter, missing toilet paper holder. TV cables unplugged from TV. TV remote missing battery cover with no batteries.  Certainly not quality. Won’t stay again.

Parking lot was cluttered with garbage.

At first entrance, we were met with a sign stating “Be back soon, please call” with phone # to an employee not working at the time. The working employee in the room did not greet us, so we thought she was a guest or house keeping.  After calling the phone number, the employee we thought was a guest/housekeeping came to the front desk.

After checking in, we went to our room. It smelled strange. As travelers often do, I needed to use the bathroom only to find NO toilet paper.  

We went to the ice machine to get ice, and it was broken.

Later in the evening, I got a bath ready, smell pee, and saw that the base of the toilet had not been cleaned. 

Before getting into bed, I saw a fry on the floor.

On the bright side, the tv and air conditioner worked.
