I’m surprised why this motel got so many bad reviews as it does, my experience was excellent for a one night stay. My plane landed in Nashville during the tornado storm (crazy, right?) and needed a place to crash for the night. Most hotels in the area were like $300+ for some reason and I saw this one for $99. Went up to the window counter to check in and the gentleman was very kind and polite. Went to my room and saw that I had a fridge, microwave, tv, and everything looked clean. Shower looked good, towels were clean, and the sink was spotless. I went to lay down and the sheets were clean as well, the A/C unit did it’s job, and enjoyed some TV while I went to sleep. The next morning, I got ready to leave around 10am and received a reminder call at 9:45 that it was almost time for checkout, very professional. Checked out with a woman working this morning and she was nice as well. As someone who went to college for hotel management, this has been one of the best stays I’ve had in an economy styled motel in quite a while. Great job, keep up the good work!

Great One Night Stay!

Not only was the tax super high and made the $99 room over $120, the room waant very clean. The bed was neat, however there were roaches in the bathroom, paired with a used toilet paper roll. The remote for the TV was extremely sticky, but worked. There were damages to the room, which I didn't really mind, but the loght by the bed could only turn on/off if you screw the bulb.
They do provide a mini frige and microwave, but make sure you plug it in yourself and set the fridges settings to actually let it be cold.
The checkout time was 10 AM, but they called about checkout at 8 AM, then again at 9:25, and then came knocking at my door at 9:40. I'd suggest brinfing your own pillows and blankets, unless you don't care about sleeping poorly with a blanket that feels like paper and a bed hard as rocks. 
Bring your own towels since they only give two small towels that barely soak anything up and you are going to have a difficult time getting more.

Worth Less than the $99 "deal"

when we checked into the room, it smelled like tobacco even though there is a no smoking policy.

They advertised a free breakfast but when I called the front desk to inquire about the time of such, I was told that there was no breakfast available. There was even no ice in the ice machine.

On our last night here, at 10 PM, I called the front desk to report that the air condition unti was leaking and was told that there was no one available to come fix it.

You can bet that we will never stay at this place ever again and I demand a refund for such shoddiness and unconcern for paying guest.

Anniversity

This so called motel is first & foremost a place to stay away from. I don’t normally write a negative review of places, but this is a place I think the public should be warned about. First off I made an online reservation prior to arriving here. Once me and my friend arrived here, I had an uneasy feeling about it just by the looks of it and the surrounding neighborhood. The front office reception is not very friendly and you deal with the management through a bulletproof window! The rest of lobby area was locked up & off limits to motel guests.That there is not a good sign. While I was checking in at the front office, my good friend was waiting outside by our rental car & was approached by a local man/bum who said to her that he ‘can hook us up with anything we wanted just stop by his room’ wink wink. That was another extremely bad sign and did not make us feel safe at all. The front desk man told me that check out time is at 10am & that he would call the room no matter what at that time or earlier! That was a bit rude I thought. Me & my friend then went to our room and after opening the door we were greeted by a bad stinky stench smell inside the room. We noticed blood stains on the carpet & bed sheets! The lighting fixtures & lamps were dirty! In the bathroom there was mold in the shower and ceiling! Nope we’re not staying here! I went back to the front desk fortress to tell them of the disappointing dismal room and I won’t be staying in it and would like to be refunded. The manager accepted that request from me and my credit card was refunded. I also called Bookings.com to make sure my original reservation was cancelled so I would not be charged on there. So to my fellow travellers who are travelling to Nashville, I highly recommend do not stay at this motel. There are definitely much nicer, cleaner, safer motels closer to the Nashville airport for about the same money wise.

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!! NEVER WOULD I EVER SUGGEST ANYONE OR ANYTHING TO STAY HERE. I drove 14 hours from central Ontario, Canada to Nashville after i had book a NON-SMOKING hotel room a month prior to the trip. As i arrive i can already determine this place is some what of a "scetchy motel". So whatever i go in to grab the room keys and i leave my buddy to watch the car. To door is locked and a lady comes to a window from the main lobby to talk to me, i tell her my name and say id like to check in...  She says okay just meet me outside. I wait a few moments and she comes out of the main lobby and locks the door behind her. Weird right!? She points at me where to park so i pull up there and get out. As she walks up to a door of a room and some other lady meets her there. This lady was in real rough shape so me and my friend look at eachother as that lady pulls a master key card from her pocket and unlocks the door to the room (she is the cleaning lady)! My friend said if that lady has access to our room he would feel very uncomfortable staying there as i would totally agree. Before i make it to the door they close it and bring us to a different one just a few doors down, opens the door and the "cleaning lady" says " i tried to get the smell of smoke out the best i could" as a full cigarette hits me in the face at 90 miles an hour i said "there is no way i am staying in this room i booked a non smoking room and thats what i get. The manager (the 1st lady) says that is the only room left. When i tell you there was no more than 5 vehicles in the parking lot i am NOT joking. The smell made me very sick and there was no way we could stay in that room. I had to cancell my reservations there and drive all across Nashville to find locals that could show us how to get to a different hotel as our cell phones would not work out of the country. I would have not stayed at that place even if it was free!!!! After a couple hours of driving around Nashville on my birthday we finally found the best western plus music row in which was an amazing hotel and very welcoming.

TERRIBLE ABSOLUTLY TERRIBLE

In fact, everything is against the Scottish Inn! The location, the price, the facilities or the cleanliness leaves more than to be desired. We had to choose the Scottish Inn just before we arrived, because everything else was booked out or a lot more expensive. We arrived with minimal expectations and unfortunately not even those were met. It's not worth writing about little things like dirty bed sheets or dusty furniture, because that's the lesser problem from our point of view. The figures in the parking lot were so trustworthy that we even barricaded our door at night before sleeping because we were worried about the environment. NEVER ANYTHING!!!!

Disaster

I have stayed here on two separate expenses. Each time I paid $90 for one night (so not worth it) and each time was hassled by management. Oh and forget trying to get breakfast or leave the premesis before check out cause each time was followed to my car and was told to give up my key. Which I refused to do because my stuff was still in the room therefore I was coming back and I paid way to much money to be kicked out before checkout. Not only that but when I returned they were "cleaning" my room and my stuff was no longer in the room. Never ever again will I be giving my money to these horrible people. .

Horrible management

Worst motel stay of my life. I have never been treated so POORLY! Blood on the sheets, stains on the wall. The meanest owners I ever met. Make sure you are out at 10:30 sharp or they will start yelling at you saying they will call the police. When the owner was yelling at our neighbor she said she found a crack pipe in her room. Learn from our mistake... Stay somewhere else!

Horrible!

If there was minus stars I would choose that.
At first the lady that checked us in was great, super helpful and nice.
Room was ok, burns in bed spread and carpet a bit gross. First night was fine, however on the 3rd night there was renovations going on until 11pm! And then restarted at 7:30am - right outside our room. Tried to talk to reception about it but was moved on. If you are coming to Nashville I would pay and stay elsewhere. 

Wish we had read Trip Advisor first

This hotel is the nastiest hotel I have ever had to stay in...RUN!!!...I will sleep under a bridge before ever sleeping here again!!...There were 5 lights in the room and only one worked...no safe locks on the door and wow plastic on the mattress. ..should have been a clue!!
