We rented the entire BV Riverside Lodge for our group of 20, and it was the perfect place to rewind and reconnect with extended family. The lodge is lovely, with sweeping views of the Collegiate Peaks and the Arkansas River. The guest rooms are well-appointed and the loft rooms upstairs were perfect for the kids. The adults enjoyed hanging out in the great room with the fireplace and comfy couches and the kids took over the upstairs game room area. There was plenty of space for everyone! We loved being right on the river and so close to downtown BV shopping and restaurants. Breakfast was delicious and Sharyn and Mike were happy to accommodate some of our picky eaters. We will definitely be back!

Perfect locale for a wonderful family reunion

We loved the Riverside Lodge! Such a peaceful and tranquil place, and the lodge itself is spectacular. Our five-year-old had a great time playing and sleeping in the loft in our room. Connie and Carl served up delicious breakfasts and even made gluten-free pancakes one morning for my gluten-free husband and son. Breakfast overlooks the river, too. We'll be back, I'm sure!

Such a beautiful location along the river just a mile from Buena Vista

What a view! Incredible river access (caught a fish out front one morning). Great service - we arrived super late and they stayed up to let us in. I’m sure breakfast was amazing, but we had to leave before it was served to get to the river. Definitely want to come back with the family sometime.

We have been coming to Liars Lodge for years.This year our stay was not quite as memorable.The innkeepers were very nice . Rooms excellent. The morning breakfast has gone way down hill. Other than that pretty good.

The Jones

Arrived to a super comfortable retreat after a rafting day so private it’s impossible to believe it’s that close to town. Wonderful hospitality and everything we needed to enjoy our heated up meal with this amazing view from the patio. 

Here right now and it’s lovely

Tanya was delightful!  Rooms were very clean, and the great room is fantastic!  Magnificent views of Mount Princeton.  Highlight was sleeping with the sliding door open with the Arkansas River flowing just below.  Oh, and the breakfast was outstanding with all homemade ingredients.  Just 5 rooms, so it was very personal, just like home.

Family owned and lovely!

I stayed in the "Zoom Flume" room with my family.  It was terrific.  The entrance manages to be sumptuous and rustic at the same time, with lots of space and light and a gorgeous curving grand staircase.  Humongous picture windows show off the "good view" (buena vista).  The river is right behind the lodge.  The smells of the forest waft through the property.  The room had a built-in jacuzzi and a loft for the kids.  It was great!  The beds were very comfortable and we got a very good night's sleep.

The hosts were absolutely charming, and the breakfast was delicious.

I would absolutely stay here again.  It costs a little bit more than a typical roadside inn, but it's totally worth it.

Fabulous location, great spaces, clean rooms -- a real charmer

We had a wonderful 3-night stay at the Riverside Lodge! Our hosts, Tanya and Ben, were very welcoming, helpful, and attentive, and we enjoyed sharing stories with them about travel. Ben could fix anything, and Tanya was an excellent chef, preparing delicious and creative breakfasts each morning. The lodge is comfortable and beautiful, perched right above the Arkansas River, with spectacular mountain views all around the property. Our room opened out to a deck and we were lulled to sleep each night to the sound of the river. For a peaceful and relaxing getaway, the Riverside Lodge is the place. Thanks Ben and Tanya!

Lovely lodge and great hosts!

WOW!  To begin with, the setting of this lodge is absolutely perfect.  Great views all around and it sits right up above the Arkansas River which was flowing heavy with snow melt off all week long.  The sound of the roaring river over wine in the evening and coffee in the morning was incredible.  The lodge itself is beautiful and the common areas are perfect for a couple or a large family.  Our room (Raft Ripper) was incredible - spacious, great beds, and separate bathroom/sink area.  The breakfast menu was different each morning but always fantastic (hats off to Tanya for her awesome culinary skills) and Ben and Tanya were great hosts.  If you find yourself in BV, you have to stay here!  We are already planning  a return next summer - but later in the year when it isn't snowing!

A great stay & fantastic accommodations the Riverside Lodge in Buena Vista!

We were just there for a weekend because of a wedding. Since it was only a small wedding, it was held there, and most of the other guests also lived there. We had so much fun and everything was so beautifully decorated. This B&B is just charming, the view is breathtaking and the owners are very friendly and friendly. The hot tub in our room was just great and we also had a lot of big towels. We also had a WiFi connection on the room, we were always in touch with the outside. A great place for a small group of travelers.
