Disappointed ☹️ 

The many pictures used on the Inn's and most Travel websites truly DO NOT reflect the current environment or amenities (basically none) of the Inn.  I noted this this as well to the Inn owner. I typically don't make reviews but decided here one needed to be made.  There is no Tavern or restaurant opened, no water/ drinks or snacks available for purchase, no ice, etc.   I believe I grossly overpaid ($$$ - $$$$) for accommodations here based on older information and pictures on these sites. Should have read reviews much closer.  I don't know how or when these sites get updated but there should be a process definitely not limited to reviews only.  As for safety, there was not a double our internal room security lock. For multiple reasons, numerous locals familiar with the Inn do not recommend it as well.  I had not inquired of relatives in the area earlier as this was a surprise visit to Bow Lake. Now after our visit, I would not recommend this location either!  The Inn Keeper (owner) in my opinion is not overly friendly or accommodating.  She might (?) blame this on her lack of help as she's apparently a one-person show!  I believe this Inn has been for sale for a while now according to local realty news and those living in the area, new blood would perhaps be a good thing. 

Accommodations Mistake!

Owner was rude and inattentive. Room was dirty and not accommodating. Food was gross and tasted reheated. Walls are paper thin, no privacy whatsoever. Overall the worst place I've stayed so far. Will not bring my family back there.

We had made reservations months in advance for an upcoming event.  Myriam Trebuchon unilaterally canceled our renovations citing future construction work.  Myriam was not helpful when I reached her by phone.  We now have to scramble to find other accommodations.    If you are planning an important event, don't jeopardize your plans with Lake Shore Farm.  They are unreliable and rude.

I was there on an extended stay for about a month..  The price was $45 per night plus taxes and fees.  I couldn't find the entrance or Check-In  upon arriving., had to look around to figure it out.  The signs were not clear.  Parking, same thing.  I almost tripped when I first entered the building because the 1st step to get in the door is higher than expected.  Then I noticed no-one was at the desk.  No one was around.  It was a Self-Serve Check-In System which should have been my que to leave.  The check-in desk had signs to read and rules to learn so I went along..  I noticed the soda machine was unplugged (not good) and there wasn't a water fountain around!  (not good)  I found my room key among the others on the rack so. forget security at this place.  One of the things I noticed about my room was it wasn't very clean.  I found plenty of hair on the bathroom floor.  I also noticed my room didn't have an alarm clock nor a radio, had no iron or ironing board, did have an extra blanket and a portable AC on the floor..  There wasn't any elevators around nor clock in the lobby downstairs.  There WAS a Keurig coffee maker in my  room, but no coffee, no tea, no sugar, no stirrers.and no instructions on how to get any.  There was no local information regarding restaurants or convenience stores, also no soap, no shampoo and no hair conditioner for the shower..  Talk about cheap..  There was no room service either even though I offered to pay separate for this.  There was no laundry facility on site which I found strange considering the size of the place.  There was no information on where guests could go to wash their clothes or get anything!.  Also, the flooring in my room was not carpet, but linoleum which meant I had to wipe my feet on a towel before getting into bed every night or I'd be dragging dirt and debris in bed with me stuck to the bottom of my feet.  I managed to find a Walmart about 15 minutes from the resort.  I purchased coffee, an alarm clock and a small scatter rug for the side of my bed.  I also purchased a Swiffer dry mop for the room.  The bathroom had a small, almost child-size toilet which was the worst inconvenience of all.  The small seat made it difficult to impossible for me (or any guy I'd say) to use the toilet without crapping on the back of the seat or peeing on the floor!  Next thing that sucked was the fact it literally took FIVE minutes every morning for hot water to reach my room.  I later learned it was because the boiler/furnace was located on the far side of the building..  This resort has one inconvenience after another!   Did I mention my bath water was BLUE?  Nice, but strange!  There was at least a flat screen Roku TV on the wall, but channels and streaming was limited unless you had paid accounts online for this..  Next I found there wasn't a single comfortable chair in my room..  None had padding and there was a door that connected my room to the next room over.  You could clearly hear everything going-on there including a fart or a whisper.   I heard a couple having a quickie one morning which was interesting.. Lastly !  have to say good luck if you have more than one issue you wish to report or complain about..  If you tell the owner she'll get nasty.  She'll start talking fast giving you one lame excuse after another trying to put blame or responsibility on you.   Some people say the owner is friendly and accomodating.  I say that's true until you approach her with more than one issue.  Good luck.  Lake Shore Farm Inn, in my opinion, has bad energy.  I'd avoid the place if I were you.

House of Inconvenience

My wife and I needed a spot to stay in central New Hampshire and thought we would give this spot a try.  It was just a one night stay.  The booking online and check in were easy and without issue.  The property is clean, quiet and well maintained.  They have a great spot on the lake to just sit back and listen to the Loons and watch them diving for their meals.  They have a nice game room with a great pool table and overall, this was a nice spot.  The rooms aren't the Four Seasons but they are clean, comfortable and well appointed.  No problems what so ever, just a nice place to stay with a nice lake.

Great spot to relax and unwind

This place has many great reviews but I truly don’t know if we even stayed at the same place. When checking in the woman made like we were bothering her. She gave us directions to our room which led us through a creepy bar and staircase. Our room was in a bizarre hallway that was closed in. The lake seemed unreachable until we chatted with another guest who told us to go through someone’s back yard to see the beach. Random chairs were set up in the grass but I wasn’t sure if it was okay to use them. The walls of the rooms were so thin we had to crank up the ac just to not hear the neighbors conversations. The bed was a foam mess that literally sucked you in and was so hot. The views online made it seem like a country get away but this was way more than rustic. Totally creeped us out and would not recommend to anyone.

Don’t go

We were there with Friends and had a wonderful weekend , great Host , the rooms were a good deal, we had them connected . There is a wonderful pond were you can relax and have an evening fire . We are planning to come back next year with a larger group.

Motorcycle Weekend

A quaint hotel with clean / comfortable rooms, a relaxing country setting and a small tavern on site.  The owner was lovely and even joined in on some karaoke in the tavern!  Their restaurant isn’t open right now, but that’s due to COVID restriction / labor laws.  Didn’t effect our stay either way.  There are plenty of restaurants locally to enjoy while they’re unable to have theirs open.  

We’d definitely stay here again 

My husband and I absolutely loved our stay at the inn. Everything was as advertised. It was peaceful, the lake is incredibly clean and great for fishing, kayaking, swimming. The owner is amazing and is doing a great job handling the COVID restrictions and limited staff. The food is incredible, I will be hearing my husband talk about the meal we ate at the restaurant for months! It was perfect for a little getaway and we can't wait to return!
