I stayed here for almost a year while I worked on a contract for NASA. Everyone was very kind and helpful. It noticeably made a difference in contrast to the stress and long hours of work. A little kindness really does go a long way.

Affordable place to rest on our way to New Orleans from Tennessee" near interstate and restaurants. Shopping is near by. Great restraurant The Checker board tight below the motel. Easy access to what ever you may need.

Nights rest on the way to New Orleans

Old, less than adequate bathrooms, no services such as ice. Rust in the bathtub. It's affordable and the rest of the room was clean. If you just need a place to crash on a trip this will suffice. It's not too far from the French Quarter but far enough to be less expensive. 

Get what you pay for 

It was a cold night and a friend had offered to get me a room by giving out his credit card over the phone. This motel was the first motel that I came to. Overall, the motel looked okay. There was an older guy from India in the office (one of the Patel clan that has basically taken over all of the mom and pop motels in the country). The guy shouldn't have been in the office because he couldn't understand or speak English. Needless to stay, I couldn't get the room because the guy didn't let me give him my phone to take my friend's credit card number. It was money now or leave. It was too dark to try and make an attempt to get closer in to New Orleans, so I had to camp out in my tent in a vacant lot (a business was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina) right next to the motel. Don't make any attempt in giving these people any business. The sign out front is a bait and switch. The motel advertises low rates but they wanted over $50 for a room.

Avoid This Motel

They didn't tell us we had to share the room, three cockroaches, some spiders, and four wood chips, just a crowded room to be a double room.

Surprised Marriage

We booked a room with a kitchen, we arrived and apart from the dirt everywhere that my wife and I eliminated with two hours of work, the kitchen is gone and the bathtub is rusty!

The room is quiet clean bit a bit dark

The price was expensive for what it was tho but hotels are expensive everywhere around here !
