Nine Mile Falls

This is a “first come, first serve” campground.  We arrived on a Friday afternoon and were able to get a waterfront spot, with 50 amp power and water, no sewer.  We have three kids under eight.  I was quite surprised at the amount of young children roaming around using vulgar language as well as racial slurs.  
There is no playground for children, there is a tiny sand area but isn’t large enough to build sand castles or really play.
The biggest down fall with this campground, there’s not 24 hour mgmt, the bathrooms are not clean, there is a strong smell of marijuana all times of the day as well as people partying late at night.  Perhaps during the week would be a better time to come, with less party’ers

We were heading to Lake Spokane Campground (LSC) and saw this site as we drove passed and thought it looked beautiful. We were put off by the reviews so carried onto LSC. When we got to LSC we found that it’s not actually on the lake and pretty much all of the sites do not have lake views, so we turned around and headed back to Willow Bay Site. The man (I think the owner or the manager?) at the office was super friendly and accommodating and let us choose our spot (NB the campsite was very quiet - only 5 other RVs). The site really is beautiful - so green and well-kept, respecting the green belt area. I personally like that the pitches aren’t marked out - it saves the grass and gives a lovely meadowy feel! We were just in a camper so I can’t say anything about the hook-ups/water etc. I can see why people commented on the state of the bathrooms but, look, it’s a beautiful site in a beautiful setting and I think the owner is trying hard to make improvements. The toilets and showers were not great -  It really could do with renovation - it would be a quick 2 week job in winter to get the facilities up to standard so it’s a shame they haven’t done it yet. I also thought $42 was a little bit steep given we didn’t have a hook-up. Overall it’s worth it for the wonderful location.

STAY AWAY! They claim this property is "family owned and operated since 1995". Wrong! It's owned and operated (a term I use loosely) by Advance Resorts of America (ARA). This is a camping timeshare in LaConnor WA. There is NO upkeep - weeds everywhere, docks in disrepair, a "Clubhouse" that's not open and run down, antiquated power and water hookups. The property location is beautiful - but that's it. We had an RV pull in next to us. They put out four tents - literally 12" from us. Put out a boom box playing hard rock aimed at our trailer. Had the nerve to ask us to move our car so they could park in our campsite.

Worst of all there was a camper three spots down that was blaring music (with VILE lyrics) until well past midnight. A group of about 15 was drinking and doing drugs until almost 2:00 am. There was NO ONE on the grounds to monitor the campers, or even ensure any type of safety for people camping there. The only phone number on the clubhouse was the ARA corporate number - 300 miles away - that went to vmail! No one local.

We finally found the "property manager" the next morning around 9:00 am. When we complained he just shrugged us off; saying we should make a complaint to corporate. Nothing he could do - very condescending. Claimed his staff was cut 70% and he's only there until around 8:00 pm (he wasn't). But no cell service at the campground - so you have to walk 100 yards in the dark to make a WiFi call; which only works within about 10 ft of the clubhouse. We actually did call the corporate number and left a vmail; claimed he didn't get it. Said he was available 24/7; I asked where his number was. Said he doesn't post it! Wait - what? 

When we said we didn't feel safe because of the unruly drunk & drugged campers, he said he was offended, we were being "dramatic", and that if we felt unsafe we should have called the sheriff! WTF? We packed up within the hour and left a day early.

This is a beautiful location. But you will be profoundly disappointed. The grounds are in a terrible state, there are no rules, and no one to watch out for the campers. Worst place we have ever been!! If I could give this place negative stars I would.

Worst campground we've ever stayed at. Resort - please......

So after being a member for over twenty years i can honesly say that from the start Willow Bay was once a family  membership camp site resort. And thru the years the priorities for members has dropped to nothing more then, 
1. I'll take your money and you fed for yourself when you arrive.
2. I'll tell you what you want to hear only to make you feel comfortable about your reservation.
3. I'll make a note of your complaint just so you feel better, but i won't do anything about it.
4. Yes we have a club house where kid and adults can play games or watch TV, Until you show up and findout the doors are locked and you can't get in.
5. The bathrooms are locked and cannot be used even after i was inform that they would be opened when i asked during my reservation.
6. They opened the resort up to the outside public that have painted griffity in the bathrooms. I had ask the staff to remove it and for weeks they said they don't have the cleaning supplies to do it, so I went and bought what was needed and cleaned it off myself.
7. Dameges to the resort keep growing with nothing being done to correct it.

The swim area that was kept up and marked has been taken down and now boats park in it. 
Sorry i can not say enough about how disappointed i am with this owners company and staff that take our membership dues and don't do anything to repair or improve this resort.

Never Believe what is told to you or what you read this place is TRASHED.

Most of the rv hookups are on the wrong side and in the wrong place. No sewer hookup. They do have very small bathrooms with shower that are not kept clean and were out of toilet paper. The worst however was the drunken parties until 2 in the morning. Also don't take children, the loud bad language was horrible. Overall bad experience we left a day early and were not given any money back.

Tried to stay over the 4th of July

One of the worst family experiences yet, will never return. No bathrooms, unfriendly staff, goose poop everywhere. Sad to see others description of this site not reflect the actual conditions. This is not "camping".

Terrible

Nice staff, good food and drink offerings for a seasonal business on the water.  We suggest a self serve window for lunch and dinner to help with the challenges of hiring seasonal workers. Give these guys a break. Expect at least 30 minutes for table service. 

Challenged by growing pains, but good offerings

This was once a fantastic private resort. But the last 4 or 5 years they have stopped maintaining it and now have allowed the public to camp so if you are a member good luck. the staph tries to do repairs but last time I was there the bathrooms were not working and the water was shut off without notice. Highly do not recamend./

paradise lost

Being full time RVer's we have reserved camping sites in all 49 drivable states in the last four years. We are members of Coast to Coast RV  resorts and have reserved several RV sites with out any problem. As we arrived at Willow Bay we were totally disappointed at what we encountered. The lady that took our information just told us to pick a spot. The grass was very high( looked like not yet cut this season). We have a 38'class A diesel pusher and requested 50Amp service. The lady wrote down a few sites that have 50amp plugs but only one seemed to work for us. Had to drive-in to spot and hook up. I asked the lady about the dump station and was told the nearest was ten miles away at the state park. There was garbage overflowing from every container. There was supposed to be a activity center with Wi-Fi but the building appeared very rundown and locked. They also have a boat launch and someone apparently got stuck trying to launch or retrieve a boat and was desperately trying to get unstuck after midnight. On top of this I made a reservation to stay over memorial day weekend but had major RV problems and had to leave early for a fix. Called to notify management company and was advised They would not give a refund. I believe Coast to Coast is checking this location. Please do not in anyway believe the information listed on website or in Good Sam directory.
