Our family was headed to North Creek for a birthday celebration weekend. We were looking for dog-friendly accommodation with an on site restaurant and North Creek Lodge at Gore Mountain looked good. It turned out to be perfect. The staff is friendly and really helpful. Special shout out to chef Tina for the best fried haddock we've had in a very long time (even according to the Brits in our group).  Rooms were clean and neat. Quite basic but met all of our needs. 

Perfect for our family weekend

Omg what a great job at doing absolutely nothing. I really enjoy coming to a place and the building doesn't even have running water? Whatever also it's jzst a mediocre menu not very experienced.  Try something else

Jeez!!

1. The 3.5 star on Expedia is misleading!!! This lodge is max 1.5 star. We were fooled by Expedia!
2. The room has no air conditioning, the air is sticky humid, the bedding material is hot. We were bitten everywhere, not sure by mosquitos or other insects, could sleep only 3 hours a night. 
3. Breakfast is very limited. Everything is cheap. Feels like food is rationed and you're watched over what you eat. 
4. The lodge is in the middle of nowhere. No staff there for check-ins after 9pm. It's too dark to walk around in the evening.
5. We booked 2 nights stay. Although it was non-refundable, we just stayed 1 night and searched for another place the second day. 

Very bad experience

I liked the location. But the breakfast is not what they claim. I dnt eat meat and they had only meat as the hot option. If you are meat lover good for you. 
The rooms were near and clean.

We were looking for a place to stay near Gore Mt. We found the North Creek Lodge formerly known as the Black Mountain Lodge. It was less than a 10 minute drive to the mountain. Melissa and her husband run the lodge. You couldn't ask for nicer hosts. The rooms, I understand were recently renovated, were exceptionally clean and very adirondack. They offer a continental breakfast, surprisingly we were offered pancakes and bacon one day and french toast and sausage another. We had the french toast and it was delicious .We ate dinner one night and that was also great. We are so happy that we found this place. We will definitely return and are looking so forward to it. 

North Creek Lodge a plus

My sons & I had a very pleasant stay at the North Creek Lodge conveniently located just 5 minutes away from Gore Mountain.  The room was clean and the bathroom was a nice size.  The owner Melissa is a gem going over and beyond by offering a hot dish for breakfast although she only had to serve a continental breakfast (biscuits & gravy) and manning the on-site restaurant that offered delicious home made food,  Jerry and Melissa  & the staff are very friendly and attentive, going out of their way to make guests feel welcome.  We wound definitely stay here again the next time we go skiing at Gore Mt,

A Gem near Gore Mountain, NY

I want to start by saying, the rooms are clean, nice size, the staff was responsive when we asked for a fridge in our room and they really did take care of us. We booked 3 nights but left after two bc full size beds for 4 people weren’t cutting it for us. (Totally our fault!) The rooms seem to be updated a bit but the bathroom was not and did have an odor - we brought in febreeze but it didn’t help much, unfortunately. I wouldn’t let that deter you from staying there. Especially for the proximity to the mountain. My one recommendation would be to take your shoes off before entering the room. The parking lot is super sandy/muddy with the unseasonably warm temperatures and we tracked so much dirt in even after wiping our shoes on the door mat, we found it in our bed etc (traveling with little kids!) all in all, it’s a decent place for a quick trip.

As close to Gore skiing as you can get without being on the mountain

Took my daughter for a couple of days skiing. Perfect location to get to Gore Mountain. The rooms were clean, a decent size and well furnished. I believe there has been recent renovations including AC in all rooms. The restaurant/bar was a plus, very cosy and a nice mixture of locals and guests. The big plus was the staff…really friendly folks. Highly recommended.

Excellent hospitality

Living in Rochester it was about a 4 hour trip for us after work so we got there after 10pm but when I called them to let them know it was no problem, they left the keys out for us. The rooms were very clean and very pleasant to sleep in. Towels, bar soap and shampoo was provided. Clean bathroom and shower. No service in the area for Verizon carriers but had Wi-Fi we could use. AC units in the wall worked well. We also were leaving before the included breakfast opened so she (sadly I cant remember her name but I believe she's the owner) woke up early to meet us and offered bagged breakfast to go. Very kind and thoughtful. Would most definitely recommend to a friend and stay there again. Thank you!

A perfect nights rest before the rough of the mountains 

North Creek Lodge at Gore Mountain exceeded our expectations.  The room was large and clean, clean, clean. Good water pressure, plenty of hot water, firm mattress, comfortable pillows, air conditioning worked great, plenty of parking, off the beaten path which provided peace and quiet. The breakfast was very good with scrambled farm fresh eggs as well as other choices.  The restaurant food was outstanding.  We chose to eat there every night. There is volleyball, corn hole, fire pits and trails for walking if you so choose to use them.  Staff is excellent. Wi-fi worked just fine. We did not have cell service(Verizon)
