I've traveled extensively for my job, and I've NEVER had an experience like this. I'm not sure what is more concerning. The fact they gave me keys to an occupied room, or their lack of concern for their egregious mistake. I booked a king room with a jetted tub. The occupied room I walked into had a king bed with a BIG jetted tub, but they put me in a room with 2 queen beds and a standard size jetted tub. There were no blankets on the bed, and it took them over an hour to get them to us. The room was dark and dank and had cobwebs in several places. Quality of the bedding was poor, but the bed itself was comfortable. I will never return, and I now feel obligated to leave this review on every site possible. NO ONE who wants to feel safe should stay at this hotel. I would NOT recommend this place to single women, families, or elderly/handicapped people. 

Never again

This place is very antiquated. Rooms are clean and quiet buts that is about all. They still use keys. Door knob was extremely loose. Hallway air conditioner did not work. Bed was very uncomfortable. They do not have the rolls etc that's on their web site. Very limited things in room. But has a huge Jacuzzi inside next to bed. Awful placement. Outlets need replacing. Sparse soaps etc. Never stay there again. No elevator. Parking is miserable.

Our trip on Ozark village inn

Chose the place specifically because it had a pool.  Arriving a little after 4pm, I found the small pool and pool deck area absolutely jammed with a large party of several families apparently all traveling together. There wasn't room for even one more person unless you just wanted to stand in the corner of the pool and be jostled.  I returned to my room and waited. After all, other guests have the right to be there.  However, in clear violation of the posted rules, they had brought several coolers full of beer and food and were standing in the water smoking, drinking and eating until the pool closed.  I finally walked past the pool to the office to ask if they might enforce the rules. If they had, perhaps the party would have left after using the pool for its intended purpose.  No one was at the office.  On my way  to and from my room I was subjected to catcalls, taunts and sexual comments from some of the clearly intoxicated despite that I was wearing a coverup over my modest swimsuit.  I spent the rest of the evening in my room under effective house arrest to avoid further harassment.  I would have said something more at check out time but again no one was there so I just left my keys.  I have contacted the property detailing the experience and was told I "should have said something" and that they were unaware despite the pool being outside the office.  They also declined even a partial refund to make up for my being denied facilities I paid to use.  I wish I had paid attention to all the reviews I saw saying "don't go."   I've solo traveled in 39 countries and generally not felt unsafe or disrespected, but decent families and solo travelers (especially women) should avoid this place.

Sexually Harassed and Intimidated

When I booked this room, I was told it was 2 rooms. It was the family room. It was one and a half rooms. It was dirty, a non smoking room but had cigarette packs on the floor. The guest shampoo was half used, one trash can. I told them there was 6 of us. We had 3 towels, 2 wash clothes and one hand towel. The t.v. in the half room didn't work, you couldn't adjust the thermostat. There was a confusion about the bill, we was charged $44 after we left, I called, she said it was for the 2 pets we had. I was already charged $20 when I checked in. When I got upset because she wasn't making it clear why the charge, she hung up on me. I will never stay here again, The halls smelt like Marijuana and there was people walking up and down the halls all hour of the day. It looks nice on the outside, but looks are very deceiving. It advertise breakfast and vending machines, not true.

Hotel is clean but old.  Non-smoking rooms smell smoky.  No mini fridge, microwave, nor coffee maker.  No soap dish so soap makes a mess all over counter.  Breakfast was stale danishes, apples, bananas, yogurt, biscuits that come in a box and they warm up with some sort of gravy.  Then they had one pancake maker and there was a line for that.  I went across the street to Dierberg’s to buy breakfast where the lady in the bakery said they’d offered to contract with them for breakfast.  Owners should really consider this.  They need to also consider updating room decor, etc.  Place has a lot of potential if they would make some changes and staff was nice.

Below Average

I am always sceptical of motels, and rely on honest reviews. We have stayed at the lake before, but never this motel. Many other facilities had higher prices with less than stellar reviews. For the price, not too bad. We didn't use pool or sample breakfast. I did notice not very many tables for the breakfast. The room was fine. I can't complain about anything. If you get a room along the back, you cannot see the lake but it is quiet. One thing, we did not find any ice machines anywhere in any of the usual places travelers would look. Like I said, for one night, not bad.

Not bad

Great Location!  Great Rate!  Room was clean and smelled wonderful.  Beds were comfortable with nice thick pillows.  There was no fridge in the room as advertised.  The pool closes at 10pm.  No pets, yet a dog was in the lobby.  The breakfast was ok at best...the donuts were the only thing edible and coffee was awful.  Housekeeping is lacking, didn't get refills for coffee maker and the beds weren't made.  Older lady at front desk was very nice and helpful, but the blonde behind the desk was having a bad day, everyday.  Would I stay again?  Yes, but I would look elsewhere first

Interesting

While our room and the rest of the property were very clean, our room smelled horribly musty.  The pillows on the bed were horrible; extremely uncomfortable and worn.  On the night that we arrived, we were supplied with shampoo and bath soap.  We stayed 3 nights and we did not receive shampoo and soap on any of the other nights, so we had to supply our own.  The bathroom tissue was fully stocked with a spare roll when we arrived.  After the first night, they cleaned the room and took the spare roll and we ran out!  We had 2 room keys  and one wouldn't work at all and you had to fight the door with the other key to get it to open,...very frustrating when you have your hands full.  The staff that we interacted with were all very friendly and the location was great---close to the outlet mall and restaurants.  The free breakfast was o.k., Biscuits were hard as rocks and inedible.  But they did have donuts and fruit so I don't want to complain about a free breakfast.  I'd stay here for one night, but for longer stays I would not.

Barely O.K.

First room:
* Used coffee pouch in maker
* Door didn't close properly as in you could lock it from the inside with the deadbolt but knob wouldn't catch to lock just closing the door
* Window unit never shut off if using it

Second room:
* Bathroom fan was really loud sounded like something was hitting the blade
* Light on bathroom fan didn't work
* Dead, dried up bugs under window unit
* Fist size stain on comforter either makeup or blood
* Dirt, a living brown recluse, Head hair and body (pubic) hair in jacuzzi tub
* Jacuzzi drain didn't seal, couldn't use it, water drained out as fast as it would go in
* Mirrors look like they haven't been cleaned in months
* Sink constantly running
* Tub knob leaks very hot water when shower is running
* Toilet had somewhat of a block, thought it would overflow the first 5 times we flushed it (was fine after that)

Employees:
Older lady was all smiles until the owner upgraded our room, she looked like she was going to be paying the difference. she wasn't so pleasant after that
Owner seemed nice but in a rush and didn't seem to want to deal with people

Breakfast: hard soggy biscuits, runny gravy, watered down O.J, all the food seemed days old.

We were told maintenance was going to check out the door but they never did and you could tell the door was still open when we left.

It's a shame the place isn't better taken care of because I would have gladly come back for a themed weekend. But both rooms were a let down and I'm not going to spend money there again just to be let down again. We shouldn't have had to pay for the bull we had to deal with, just goes to show how much they care about repeat customers. We have stayed in many hotels over the years and some of the motel 6 have been cleaner than this. I've had roach motels give better service, at least the roach motels offer to comp the room when you present them with issues less than this...

Didn't expect a 5star, but didn't expect this either...

Spent one night here while on a short visit. 

The location is very convenient, next to the outlet mall, grocery store across the street and within walking distance of restaurants. 
The room- was simple but clean and huge! We also had a jacuzzi built in the room which was nice to use. 
Beds were comfortable enough. Pillows were flat though and could be replaced. 
I didn’t use the pool but they have a nice fenced in one with tables and chairs. 
The room did include breakfast - make your own pancakes, fruit, pastries etc. 
Staff was very friendly and helpful with suggestions on where to go. 
Overall for the money I think it was a good value and I’d stay there again!
