Very clean motel. Not the Hilton, but not expensive either. Room was nice and cool and there were plenty of blankets. Pleasant staff most helpful  Manager told us Domono's delivers. Refrigerator and microwave. Large screen TV. Key worked in the door. New kind to me. Just hold it against the lock

Very clean inexpensive and pleasant overnight stay

 Don't stay here unless needed. The staff is nice. But the rest of the place needs to be totally redone. It is cheap and there is a reason why. It's not the worst place but you can do better with a short drive. I give it a average rating but should be 2 1/2 the staff saves this place.

The reviews are right!

We were moving so until we got everything situated we stopped and got a room here, which the rooms were actually surprisingly pretty nice especially for the price! Plenty of storage room, microwave, refrigerator (with a little kitchen space and counter), spacious bathrooms and direct tv! We also had a room in the back which had a beautiful view of the woodsy area and little frozen over lake from the winter...BUT as far as the management and service goes, I really couldn't believe the way these people treated not only just us, but a couple other people who were staying at the same time we were! I'll put it this way, if you have to leave your room more than once or twice; day or night, then I recommend you go elsewhere because by the next morning while we had planned on keeping the room another day or until we finished moving everything but we ended up getting 'kicked out' unexpectedly because we had been in and out moving throughout the day or going to the store and running errands and having a couple family and friends over to help move? Supposedly with the accusation saying we had too much traffic coming and goin even though the only people who were actually going in and out of the room were the people who were supposed to be the room! (US!) And maybe one family member that used the bathroom and visited for an hour or two...but coming from them they accused us of having 11 different people in and out? Well it was just us going and moving or running errands and having one visitor but I didn't know it was against the rules and policy to be able to leave the room more than once or twice or have a visitor...but if you like being confined to your rooms and don't leave or have a family/friend come over to help you then maybe this would be a great fit for you! But I know what these people said and did was completely ignorant! Never again!

Nice Rooms, TERRIBLE service!!

Have a time share there and the place is not worth the money I spent.
They should be ashamed of themselves. 
Outdated....dirty...disgusting...outdoor pool not open.  Lake closed.
Min. golf closed. It looked like the Bates Motel.

HORRIBLE

This motel does not have all of the bells & whistles of a larger motel chain. It is an older motel with outdated décor. However, we received a clean room with a king size bed, microwave, refrigerator, tv with lots of channels, and free wifi. There was also free coffee in the lobby in the morning. We found the owner to be very hospitable and friendly. The motel was a quick drive to Jim Thorpe, Pa and the river gorge state park. We paid a AAA rate of only $32.99 per night and spent our days in the tourist areas of Jim Thorpe. I would definitely recommend this motel to anyone who is on a tight budget like we are. We enjoyed our stay and would return when in the area again.

Inexpensive, friendly stay

We were looking for a cheap place to stay for a night on the way from Montreal to Washington, but we would have had five or ten dollars more for a place where you could feel comfortable halfway, and this motel would probably collapse soon. Instead of breakfast, there was only coffee that we didn't touch, and the Wi-Fi was off the hook.
