The hotel room was dirty, and had not been cleaned to normal hotel standards, much less to Covid cleanliness standards.  The room had many marks and damaged spots on furnishings and carpet, and there were bugs in the room.  Yet, at check-in, I had to pay a $100 deposit, which was refunded after staff physically inspected the room at the time of checkout. Reception staff at check-in was rude, although the receptionist at check-out was good. The safety latch on the entrance door was missing.  The guest in the next room stood outside the door smoking and talking loudly and angrily on a cell phone late at night.  As a woman traveling alone, I did not feel safe in this hotel. I do not recommend this hotel.

I would not stay here again

I appreciate the fact that the Red Carpet Inn allowed our dogs to stay for the dog show. I've stayed at this motel several years ago. The room was not bad and it was quiet and comfortable. The managers need to put more effort into checking on how well the rooms are cleaned. Thank goodness there were two beds, because there were questionable stains on the headboard of the first bed that could have been a quick fix with a little cleaning. There were also three dead flies under the glass in the picture over that same bed. Again nothing that can't be handled with a little elbow grease. Then, I'm not sure of why my room was not cleaned on my second day there. The desk clerk said it was because I had dogs. Well, the dogs were not in the room and since I am paying extra, I expect my room to be cleaned!! 
I hope all the other folks that were there for the show had a good stay and left their rooms in good condition. I will be back and I hope they can find folks to make a better effort at cleaning.

Dog Show Stay

My wife and I have stayed at this hotel on trips to NJ since it first opened. Since it came under new management it has gone down hill. We just checked out this AM. We were put in a suite on the third floor that had a small kitchen. It smelled awful. Stove vent had not been cleaned and there was carpet in front of the stove that most likely had food spilled on it. The exterior of the hotel had weeds growing everywhere - out of cracks In the curbing, in the flower beds, all over. We will have to find another hotel for future trips. Will not recommend it.

Going down hill fast

Its nice but weired hotel the smell is not nice the price is low room is clean location i dont know i didnt explore the area but its nice location to sleep in and have rest i search alot on other hotels snd aĺl of them is fully booked over all its nice hotel but book on line before you go

Road trip

The most filthy place ive ever been too. Rm 301.  Black mold, dirt literally hanging off the wall, wall paper peeling off, ceiling corroded in dirt, soaking wet carpet. Had a employee come look at it and they said the room needs to be condemned. You can actually smell the drugs up and down the halls. Air conditioner was clogged with dirt and dust. Not even healthy to be in this place . Night staff told us all supplies are locked up at night. They cant access toilet paper, towels, soaps or anything else you need. When switching rooms i showed the staff member there was donuts laying on the stairs, she walked passed them FOUR times and left them there. I spoke to manager and made him go in to room 301 with me. He said the GM would call me that day, never happened. Dirty mattresses piled up out side by what use to be the pool. Garbage all around the property. They put us in a "newer" room and you can see the dust build up starting in that room too. Air conditioners have dirt caked in them. Staff does not care about this property. STAY AWAY

Horrible

My husband and I stayed on our way south... when we walked into the room it smelled strongly of marijuana, the lamps next to the bed did not work because the bulbs were broken. The lamp by the window did not have a light bulb. The bathtub did not work correctly. The beds are uncomfortable, and were not fully made. (See photo) We were on the first floor and the curtain covering the window just barely fits over the window; if you walk on either side someone on the outside could see you. The chain lock worked, but looked like it was going to come off. There were holes in the walls (see photo). There was a small refrigerator and microwave in our roommate they both were in working order. 

Cheap hotel, shows in room! 

The room itself was fine. Big and very quiet. The breakfast was pretty dismal but there are options close by. Very strange but I went to the America Best Value website, did a search and this place did not come up. If you have an AAA or AARP card speak up when you check in. If you ask an hour later tough luck for you.
